Pregnant Hotties July 19th

I WANT INSANITY!!!!!

Ah, ha! So you're getting sucked in by all the threads too! I've never done a Beach Body workout or series. Are they good? I was wondering if this or ChaLean is the way to go, to do after STS...I'm thinking ChaLean might not feel too challenging after STS though.

Yes, a good friend bragged 2 me about her INSANITY workout today. Hmmmm. Shaun T is cute too,.......I wouldn't mind drooling over him while getting really hot, slippery, wet with sweat.:eek: Darn hormones!!!! lol I've been super fond of Turbo Jam & Charlene. I do NOT like strength training, so can not offer any response in regards to that, but I'm sure other's can chime in...

Good morning everyone!

Another ultrasound tomorrow. I'm starting to feel like I could do it myself!

I was just looking through my daily journal of workouts from when I was pregnant w/ my DD. I was still doing Cathe workouts in their entirety w/few modifications and now I'm doing premixes and my workouts are much more modified now. I just don't have the energy now. Oh well, I'll get my endurance and strength back someday.

Susan - isn't it funny how their little minds work? I'm impressed that your diet is still so healthy.

Christine-The penis comment is hilarious. Thanks for the comment about my baby being a strong soul. I just fear doing to my child what happened to you. My DH tells me that I need to be there w/ my parents now and that he and Brooke will be ok. It's hard finding a balance but I guess we just do the best we can with what we have.

Melanie- Sorry your DH need motivation now-not exactly what you need to deal with now.

Hi to everyone else.

Good morning ladies! Feeling pretty good, had a decent night's sleep for once!

I need to preview these Insanity workouts. I keep hearing about them. Of course, I have many many workouts to keep me occupied after James is born but a brand new one could motivate me! At least that is what I would tell DH! Hee hee....

Wendy- With everything that you have going on, you are doing awesome on your workouts! It probably helps you relax/clear your head to workout. At least it used to for me.

Allison and Mel- Sorry that your DH's aren't being very supportive/helpful right now. It doesn't help with everything else you ladies have on your plate.

Christine-That is hillarious about "a penis being in your belly." Someone else just mentioned that to me the other day and it was an adult.

Waves to everyone else!

I just ordered INSANITY. I cannot wait to let my heartrate go nuts again. I miss the days of a good old fashioned sweat and insane workout!!! Let the baby get out so I can begin! Hee hee!

Wendy, I think you are amazing to be working out with all the directions you're being pulled in these days. Of course, maybe exercise is helping you stay somewhat sane.

Jen, woohoo on scoring a good night's sleep! Lucky girl! My right hip has really been bothering me the past couple of days, making it difficult to get comfortable while sitting or trying sleep. It's all temporary, right? ;) Hope tonight brings you more sweet dreams :)

Christine, I know Boy is not ready to come out yet (please, not until I'm least 37 weeks for his sake), but I'm with ya! I'm ready to start getting my body back for ME! I feel like I'm hosting a parasite, and darn it -- I want a BEER!

Where can one view previews of the Insanity DVDs? I'm thinking about "hinting" for it for Christmas, or my post-baby gift to myself. :)

In preparation for post-natal me, I bought a new workout top on clearance at Target today :) And I picked up Jillian Michael's Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism DVD for $10 at BJ's. I also saw her No More Trouble Zones for $10; there were a bunch of copies of that one, so I figured I could decide if I need it. Her 30 Day Shred is a tough workout!

Check out the site www.beachbody.com. I cannot wait to sweat out some of the stress and get me back. I do not like feeling big and bloated and I really miss my belly button being a hidden feature. I hav edone P90X and am not a huge fan, I tihnk TOny HOrton is a moron, but these look much better and inredible.
As for my drama du jour, no San Fran. Now we are supposed to wait six to eight weeks to move to Palo Alto. That is getting close to delivery for a big move, and I am not sure we will be able to sell the house by then. Might be on my own with the kiddos for a while. I am so hormonal today. What I would do for a great workout with my HR in the 180s and then a HUGE cold beer. And sushi. And cheese. And nitrates. And mercury filled products. And to have clear skin. I look like a 15 year old.
My son did not take a nap this afternoon, so as we drove down the road he delared that he wished that he had slept, so that he could have had a chance to dig for boogers. At least a laugh from me! He is only allowed to pick his nose in private, so that is where this comes from, in case you are wondering if we are crazy.

Christine, I thought San Fran was a lock? How frustrating for you and your family. I get that business is business, but surely these people have to know DH's wife is pregnant. I'm sorry for all the extra stress.

As for cheese, Boy and I are big fans of cheese ;) He also seems to really like turkey lunch meat, so I've been buying Dietz and Watson Gourmet Lite Turkey at Costco. It's delicious -- nitrates be damned! I figure a few slices of turkey a couple times a week can't harm much.

I hear you on the skin. Do you know what you're having yet? I can honestly say, my complexion was MUCH worse when I was pregnant with DD. My "pregnancy glow" was from all the zits and red marks I had LOL This time, my complexion cleared up second trimester, so I have a few zits but nothing compared to last time.

SF was a lock. That is what is so upsetting. He works for a Swiss Bank, so I guess that there is a whole different way to communicate over there. We are shocked right now.
I find out on Thursday what I am having. I had bad skin with my son, but this is crazy. Who knows? I am so pimply!
Cheese. Mmmm.

At least you guys are craving beer,.......I've been craving a big gigantic marajuana joint (which I haven't had in over 10 year)!!!! LOL

Hello ladies,
No cravings to report here.
I am also not really exercising because I am spending my time after work trying to get stuff done (if I don't just sit on the couch for the night). I am sewing my crib set, cleaning out the baby closet, and in general rearranging my house. The laundry and mopping was not nearly so hard to get done before I was preggo. I have had a horrible cold for the past week and that has slowed me down a lot.
Was talking to DH last night, and he seemed to think that cutting the umbilical cord off in the hospital was all there was to it. He is a youngest boy and I always love hearing the stuff he has never learned about babies. So we talked about the little stump that needs to dry out and fall off after a few weeks, and so this means no immersion baths until it is done.
Have a great week.

I loved reading all your posts! I was cracking up about what everyone is craving! I agree with Christine...I am jonesing to have a workout where my heart is about ready to pop out of my chest, chest burning, sweat dripping and burning my eyes and my muscles screaming! And the HUGEST beer I can find! On my drive home yesterday, I actually had a thought for a split second that I was going home to have a beer and then remembered that I couldn't.

Melanie- "Mother of newborn and four boys arrested while smoking the biggest fatty following giving birth"

Christine- I'm sorry about the house drama! Can't wait to hear what you are having! I have Power 90x and never did it but I previewed it and I didn't like it either. I am trying to get my mom to go in halves with me on Insanity. If not, it will be my birthday/post baby gift to myself.

Allison- All the women I know who had girls had horrible complexions too that cleared right up after birth. It IS temporary...but heck, it sure feels like forever! I did sleep good last night, thanks! I hope your hip is feeling better!

You guys are cracking me up too!!!

Melanie, no cravings for me lately. I think I ate too much last night. This morning I was feeling a bit full yet, but I never skip breakfast so I went ahead and made me a small bowl of oatmeal (wrong!!) TMI follows... I didn't make it on time to the toilet and my oatmeal was all over the place. I couldn't even open my eyes bcx my face was all covered up Nasty!! I'm telling you. Poor DH, he had to clean it all since I had only 20 mins to finish up and get to work. I told him we gonna have to punish our baby for misbehaving the day of the sonogram LOL Just kidding
But today is the big day and I hope he/she is not shy so we can see clearly! I'll let you all know tonight beacuse my app. is at 4 pm

Allison, I have acne since I was a teenager and was afraid that It may get worse during pregnancy but I have noticed that it's better even though my complexion is still not nice at all. By the way, I have all Jillian's workouts and love them all for a quick fix. They're hard!!

Cristine, I don't know what it is about the guy inInsanity but those workouts are way too dancy for my taste. I had the first set that came out and got rid of them

Melanie Melanie, what a craving LOL

Hi everyone else, I'll give you the good news in few hours!!!!

Precilla, what did you find out? Hope your u/s went well.

No worries here,.....this mommy won't be smoking pot anytime soon. Have no idea why I crave it though. Crazy.......and Jen I'm not going to get arrested either. I'm really too tired to get into too much trouble. :D :D .......but if I do,....will you bail me out?:eek:

This AM I hung out with a friend & her kids....she lent me her maternity clothes which I'm grateful for (pants alone are over $30 nowadays). I also got my exersaucer back & bouncy seat. They all need to be clean,...but I have time for that. She's going to loan me her pack-n-play (and I already have one),...so I should be set there.

We over paid our home owners insurance, so we got a $600 check in the mail today, which covered our 6-month auto insurance bill. So all-in-all I feel extremely blessed today. :D

DH vaccuumed the house today (well the main rooms),....and he didn't even hurt himself. LOL The house is nice & tidy,.....and I plan to relax after swimming lessons today. Ahhhhhhhhh. RELAX!!!!!!! Some pot-free relaxation. lol

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Great news. :)

Hormones, holy cow.
I am a crying and grouch wreck these days. I am looking forward to feeling more peppy. Hopefully soon!
Hi all you wonderful preggos!
Precilla- I cannot wait to hear how it went (after the oatmeal of course).
Off to try to exercise. Maybe I am moody because I need to move my body.
:)
C

Melanie- Of course I would bail you out! What are fellow preggos for? Hooray for DH! Give him a big hug for me for gettin to work!

Priscilla- Can't wait to hear!

C- Sorry about the tears! Hope the exercise helped!

Christine~ sending you big belly hugs!!!

Did I tell ya'll about my waffle incident? I had a waffle maker that I really liked from Sam's Club. The wires starting getting frayed....so I threw it out and bought another from Kohl's during one of their big sales.....but hated it. It never cooked right & I always had to adjust the timing & such. Well......when I went shopping this weekend I purchased another maker like the one I had originally. Mon, when I made a waffle it turned out so perfect that I actually cried. I thought to myself, "It's beautful, perfect brown, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside". It was just tear jerking. My eyes are swelled up right now,....describing this perfect waffle. Is that hormonal? or what?@?!?

Priscilla, hope your appt went well today, and that baby wasn't too bashful/difficult ;) Our DD never "flashed her goods," so it was a good thing I didn't want to know! Sorry about your b'fast oatmeal.

Christine, sorry for the tears. I hope for your sake that your pep returns too. FWIW, I'd be a ball of emotion based on the move/job situation alone. Throw in a pregnancy? I would be a basketcase, as I am a big planner. I hope you feel better soon (((hugs)))

Jen, glad last night brought you another good night's sleep!

Melanie, sounds like you're doing a great job rounding up baby gear! Funny how, when you've done this before, you realize it's okay to utilize gently used gear. Last time, I didn't want much that was used. This time, not only is it all used (by DD mostly), but I'm hoping to not have to buy much at all LOL I've lived and learned! And yay on DH vacuuming -- enjoy the clean floors!

Vaccuming and a perfect waffle? Who needs a doobie, that sounds surreal! Makes me loopy just thinking about the bliss of a perfect waffle while looking at pretty vacuum lines. Now only if you could get DH to go for some intimacy, you would get a trifecta.
Thank you for all your sweet thoughts and hugs everyone. I just did Body Max 2 cardio and it helped to zone out for awhile. I think baby is a fan as well, got kicked around the whole time. Off to nap before my sweet boy wakes up.
:)

Allison, I"m planning on buying a new crib & car seats; probably some clothes if they end up being girls. :D

Christine, I knew you'd understand me. :D Unfortunately, ob/gyn did not give the okay for intimacy. I wonder if DH paid ob/gyn to say that?

I'm off to eat the perfect corn on cob & melt in your mouth BBQd steak from crockpot (simmering all day). I might have another breakdown!!!!
