Post your LMR reviews :D

@Debinmi that's too bad your cardio took a hit with the STS 2.0 rotation. I was pretty floored when my cardio capacity stayed level doing that one's 12-week rotation.

Proof positive that people need to find what works for them and not go by anecdotal evidence.

I agree. Use it or lose it. Period!

I had added cardio during Phases 1&2 - but the Body Parts Phase 3 was when I sacrificed cardio for the rotation. Thankfully it was easily remedied when I returned to my usual balanced rotations. I really enjoyed the Body Parts workouts though, but they didn't have the same cardio effect as the TB and UB/LB phases.

I quickly added cardio to STS2. Not super charged cardio, but enough to feel it. It's not either/or for me. It's both weights and cardio.

Another observation - I threw in LMR Functional Upper & Lower with balance bonuses into my custom XTrain rotation a couple weeks in. I mostly did it as I was suspecting I may need a little extra break/recovery as I get back up to speed with the more physically demanding XTrain rotation.

I found that both presented a nice change-up/challenge and found myself surprised to be feeling a little challenged by them despite the more intense workouts from the previous couple weeks.

With that knowledge, I'm thinking I'll throw in LMR FU/FL/TB as occasional one-offs in the midst of a more demanding rotation. I don't think I'll suffer any loss from doing so. They're added recovery (maybe consider them de-load workouts), and for sure balance practice so long as I include the balance disc bonuses.

I maintain I won't ever use them exclusively for weeks and weeks, though, as that will set me back, especially my cardio.

Thankfully my cardio capacity is bouncing back pretty quickly. I can only credit that to plenty of years of Cathe cardio under my belt.

I'm planning an STS2.0 UB/LB/TB (for 3 days of weight training) rotation next month & thought I'd sub in one of the LMR fn weight work once a week for 3 of the weeks. That way there's some functional training as well as regular strength training for 3 weeks. That's another way to slip them in too.
