I remember doing that to my jeans although we called it "french cuffing" not pegged pants. Oh man, I don't want to see that ever again. I used to be late to class after gym trying to get that cuff tight enough and just right. Ahhhh!!!
I remember the guys in our high school pegging their jeans too, and wearing no socks and top siders to complete "the look". Every generation has some trends that are decidely their own. I can't wait to see what my daughters (9, 6, and 2) end up doing in the next decade. I'm going to make sure and take lots of pictures
I always thought pegged jeans were the ones that got very small down the leg to the ankle -- you could barely get your foot through the opening. A really unattractive look for somebody who is wide through the hips and narrow through the ankles. I guess that is last year's skinny jeans.
I'm not skinny -- I didn't wear them.
I don't know if it's a regional thing or not, but here in the South we wear capris and cropped pants a lot. Achieves the same thing as rolling, but without the actual rolling.
Personally, I like low-cut flare jeans. The low cut makes me look like I have an actual torso (I'm short-waisted), and the flare balances out the width of my hips!
I remember the pegged jeans. Seems like everyone wore penny loafers then too? I was pretty young but I remember all that.. and slap bracelets. I also wore stirrup pants. yuck!
I just have one question regarding that picture of SJP...why do celebrities' outfits always look like a thrift store exploded all over them? I'm all for casual and funky but these folks must get dressed in the dark.
