Plateau!!.. and am arm question..

Lauren, congrats on your super results already...you're working hard! I, too, can't wait to see pix. Do you have most of Cathe's workouts? There used to be a "Tank Top Rotation" that I got great results from as far as looking more cut. If you're interested, I'll see if I can find it. It's YEARS old but it worked! You're going to be a beautiful, fit bride!

I found it...you could always update it with newer workouts but I did get great results from this original rotation:

Tank Top Rotation by Marlene...

Day 1: PS Chest, Back, Shoulders, Biceps, and Triceps.

Day 2: CTX Leaner Legs

Day 3: CTX Shoulders, Biceps, and Triceps plus cardio

Day 4: Cardio

Day 5: MIS

Day 6: Cardio

Day 7: Cardio or rest

As you see, there's that cardio sneaking in there that you LOVE to do! :)

congrats on your terrific weight loss!!!

lifting weights,
= building lean muscle 3x per week and cardio 4x per week, living on salads, veggies and very lean protein with carbs only in the morning, with cals no more than 1300 per day should get you the weight loss you want.

Thanks Debbie!! Unfortunately I don't have the CTX workouts :(. Any suggestions of what I could possibly substitute with?? I'm gonna stick with the rotation I'm doing now for a couple more weeks then I wanna change it up to keep my body guessing, so maybe I'll try this rotation. Thanks again!!

Ooohh! That thing is gorgeous! I'm getting excited for you :D

As for a CTX substitute, do you have 4DS? That could work.

Can anyone explain to me how to make an avatar??

When you're logged in, click on User CP on the upper left side. Then Edit Avatar should be in the column on the left.

Cool. Thanks, Kiki!

So my bridal shower was this Sunday :), It was really nice and I got a lot of really nice things! However, I've been eating like CRAP! I gotta get my eating back on track. I'm DEFINITELY not going to weigh myself this week. I've been eating so bad I think that will just get discouraged. I really wanna be at my goal by August 8th, which is my first dress fitting. Thats about 4 or 5 lbs away though and I have less then 2 weeks.. So this may not happen. But I'm gonna do my best to AT LEAST stop eating like crap lol.

Just wanted to say, beautiful dress! Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I assure you I can provide no help in reducing arm size, mine just seem to get bigger

Reading your post has been really inspiring for me! You got a lot of great advice from these ladies! Your dress is absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations on your weight loss/progress so far, that's awesome! You'll be ready for your big day looking great I bet:)

Thanks, Kris!!

So I actually weighed myself today.. 158.8.. so I gained a couple lbs. I knew it! I should have just avoided the scale! I've been so stressed and busy lately and have beed too exhausted (mentally and physically) to workout. My eating has been horrible too. I have to get back on the ball! I'm kinda in a funk :-(. Any words of advise??

Delegate as much as humanly possible. Thats the best way to get some sanity back. You don't want your big day to be a blur because you were worn out.

Its already becoming that way! My shower was a blur because I just have so much on my mind I can't focus on anything!

I'm having a really hard time the last couple weeks. I'm really feeling down. Like I started a new job that I'm hating because the 2 girls I work closest with don't like me for some reason and therefore I sit there for 8.5+ hours a day without talking. So it makes me hate that job. I still do hair at the salon and at home and I dread it everytime I have to do it. I have a ton of little things to do for the wedding and noone is seeming to want to help me and its all just stressing me out. I'm so drained mentally after work that by the time I get home the idea of working out makes me wanna cry. Therefore I haven't been working out nearly enough and I've been stress eating which is something I've never been able to get a hold of. So all I keep thinking is "Great. I'm gonna end up gaining this 30 lbs. back." And even being aware that that is a possiblity I STILL can't get myself back to working out regularly and not over eating.

I'm so sorry for that rant. My anxiety is through the roof lately and I can't control it. And my depression (that I've been battling since 8th grade) has been horrible too. I just don't know what to do.. :(

I've been averaging about 55 hours a week and can't cut back. I feel like there is no hope for me to get back into my workout which I used to love but lately dread to the point of not even doing them.

Lauren! How ya doin over there? I hope better. I know how frustrating it can be. When I was planning for my wedding, I was working like crazy (to be able to pay all those places I put deposits on! ) and my maid of honor/BFF was being a jealous jerk and wouldn't help me w/anything (she has since finally gotten her BF of 11 yrs to finally marry her, so she's better now, and I've forgiven her, but nonetheless, I needed her, and she was out of commission.) But, that did not stop me from looking for someone to share the load, and eventually I found one - my DH's step-mom. It was the most unlikely pair up, me and her, but it worked beautifully. Whereas my mom has 4 girls and 2 boys (so the marriage thing was not new to her), my StepMIL was a homemaker w/only boys, and jumped at the opportunity to help plan a "daughter's" wedding.

There is usually always someone whom we know that loves to take on all the little detail oriented stuff, if we allow them to. (I wish I were close, I'd help!) With my own wedding, once I finally let go, and allowed her to take the lead (instead of becoming bridezilla, lol, and trying to do it all myself) everything rolled so smoothly. I just told her the main details that I felt I had to have, and let her take care of the rest. She'd contact me if I had to make a choice on certain things, but she did 90-95% of the footwork, etc for me. It turned out even more wonderful than I could have imagined, and on my big day, I needed only to show up ;). I can remember when I saw everything on that day just before the wedding started, I was speechless, turned to her w/tears in my eyes, and said, "It's absolutely perfect!" We were both happy, and that entire day & for the last 10 years, whenever someone that attended my wedding gets married (or knows someone who is) I get a call asking, "who was your wedding planner?"

You can do this, girl. When you're in your little closet @ work for 8 hours, do you have a computer? You can always come talk to us!

Repeat after me: "I WILL NOT GAIN THOSE 30 LBS BACK!!!"

It was only a minor setback. Do what you gotta do to get on track. Join a check-in for some accountability. Use a website to log your eats so you can see what you're really eating. Join WW if you think you need to for accountability. Pray (or meditate, etc) to help w/depression. Keep talking to people. I know from experience, that when I hold it in, my depression symptoms worsen. Commit to something that can help pull you out of it (an aerobics class, a personal trainer, dinner w/a friend, Bible Study/Church, etc).

Whatever can help you, do it. You got this ;)

I'll be keeping you in prayer. Keep us posted...

Thank you so much, Kiki!! This post really cheered me up. I actually am feeling slightly better. Your advice was really uplifting and REALLY appreciated. I WISH I could log on here while I was at work. It would be someone to talk to and keep me positive.

I need to do something to remotivate myself with my weight loss.. I'm thinking of logging my food. But I also need something to get me back in the mood to work out. It's been quite a while. I think I'm going to start doing yoga regularly and meditating again.

Thanks again for all the support! It really made me feel good :)

Fabulous dress! Congrats on all your success so far. Keep up the hard work. You're gonna be gorgeous in that dress. Don't you love the girls here? They give the BEST advice :)

Thanks! :) I actually had my first fitting last night. The dress was HUGE. But once she pinned it all up so it'll fit my I can kind of invision what it's gonna look like after she alters it and I LOVE IT STILL! I was nervous lol
