Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 8/27

I had planned to have a rest day today, but I was feeling the need to exercise. I did Low Impact Sweat 1 and 2. Time was 45 minutes with 383 calories burned. Average heart rate was 138 and maximum heart rate was 166. I felt much better afterwards.

I was reading a thread about aging and intense exercise which was very interesting. One of the women said that she needs to work out in order to continue working out. That's how I feel. I try to balance the amount of intensity and the frequency, but I feel so much better when I am active.

Diane Sue, I love okra too, but not if it's not cooked properly. I hate the "slimy" texture when it is not cooked away. Fried is good, but I also sauté it and add to tomatoes with onions and bell peppers. Growing up in Louisiana we had a lot of okra!

We don't have anything special planned for the weekend, just a visit with friends. Have a wonderful day everyone.
 
just checked amazon but Yoyo ink doesn't come for HP 62 xl. Costco sells it in a combo pack. I don't need any right now, but will keep this in mind...DH's printer uses a different number. I bought replacements for his two months ago. anyway, good to know this brand works. I will check amazon before buying more.

DH didn't like the slimy texture. I made it several ways but he took one taste and said "yuck". I had it breaded and sautéed. also in a creole stew. I've seen it in stores here but he was so negative it wasn't worth trying again.
hot and sunny here again. we can't catch a break and get a little rain. we will hang around here all weekend. I did groceries and a few small errands and that was difficult enough.
