Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 6/19

Today I did Hard Strikes mix no drills, 35 minutes, 114 avg./151 max heart rate, 210 calories. I then did Ice Upper Body, 42 minutes, 171 calories. Total time 77 minutes, 381 calories. I wanted to do abs too but, I had my grandson come to clean and wax my car and my 5 year old grandson here so I quit there. Boy was my legs and glutes sore when I got up and went upstairs this morning. Once I was up and moving it felt better though. Maybe my kettle bell lower workout should have been a bit shorter :)
Ice Upper Body I can never seem to get the actual count down on reps when I do this.
swinging military press 8# 12 reps
triple dead row/triple upright row/ shrug 12's#
windmills 5's# 8 left 8 right
Hammer Curl/clutch curl 12's# I think this one was 8 reps then 8 both
overhead press/overhead extension 10's#
forward tilt bent arm lateral raise 10's# 2 sets 12 reps, 6 reps
rotational rows 2 sets 12's# 16 reps, 16 reps
discus throw 5# 2 sets 12 reps right and left
3 curls /1 press 10's
triceps push up with leg lift 3 sets 12/8/4 reps
rear delt raise with leg extension 5# 2 sets 12 reps right then left
chest fly with leg extension 2 sets 12's 16, 12 reps
pullover extensions 8's3 sets 16, 16,8reps
bear crawl plank walks BW
high plank descents BW 12 reps
high plank descents wide arm 8 reps and hold

Lynda, you must be referring to one of the Art of Strength workouts. I have several of those too. I liked the Kettle bell way in those the best. Maybe because it was a bit easier to perform? Some are more fun that others. I have all of Amy Bento Ross Kettle bell workouts. I have some of Bob Harper's but have hardly used them. I hear a lot of people like Paul Katami but I do not have his.

Valerie, I am glad my sweet tooth has pretty much gone. It is healthier anyway. Yeah for the new computer screen. I think hospice main concern is to make people as comfortable as possible. I had a friend that had cancer and went to stay with her sister. Hospice was in and out helping. With all of the riding and hiking that you do I can see that there is not much reason for other cardio work.

Judy, I bet the presale is only a couple of weeks. I should just go ahead and order.

This morning was SB Upper Body 2. I liked it more than I thought I would. I went a little heavier than Suzanne and my arms were exhausted. Tonight was Ice Low Impact Sweat 1. I bought Jessica Smith's Walk Strong DVD set for the ladies. I need to motivate everyone. When Chester happened I was out and no one worked out. Then we have been so busy and I need to get them interested again. These DVD's have nothing to do with walking. There are 10 workouts all 30 minutes. Cardio, core, upper strength, lower strength and a total body to name a few. I have always liked Jessica Smith's personality and do some of her YouTube workouts. She has a ton for all levels. I was concerned these would be beginner but I have reviewed them and they look great. There is a modifier and also someone more advanced which is nice. Perfect for a quick not over the top lunch time workout.

Deb...very sorry to hear about your Uncle. I am told it was horrible rain and thunder last night here too. I never heard it. Slept right through it. :) I ordered the new KCM (thanks Judy!) and I am looking forward to it.

Valerie...26 miles - great ride! I very rarely add in any sugar but I love ketchup! I smother my fried fish and fries with it. My husband hates watching me eat it. Ketchup on burgers and hotdogs too! It is so bad but I love it.

Diane Sue...do you do TRX? It looks like a great workout and very portable. I know what you mean about soreness after a leg workout. I usually take a couple of advil to help. I have some stairs at the office and when I have a tough workout it just adds insult to injury.

Judy...thanks for the presale info. Bought it this afternoon. Like you mentioned with the Ruthless workouts "like I need another workout"!! Crazy but we just keep buying! Great KCM's is starting with Barre. I can't wait to see her style.

Lynda...Strong Upper Body Express is my favorite Live upper workout. Get in and out rather quickly, yet feel really worked. The vision I got with a bald guy on the rooftop doing kettlebells! Funny.

Jave a great night all!

Lori, I bet the ladies will love the new workouts :) I have done some of her workouts on You Tube. It is nice having different fitness levels in a workout. I have purchased several of the TRX workouts. Two are circuits that use the TRX and kettle bells. I have the Force which is really good. Some tough core work in that one. I also have a couple of downloads. One is a flexibility and flow workout that does great things for stiffness and mobility. There is also one that is pretty much yoga but there is a lot of balancing in it. If you can imagine one foot hanging in the air through the loop and the other in front in a crescent pose. I like it a lot but I really wish I could get someone here to find the ceiling studs and hang my X mount so I don't have to use the door attachment. I don't care for working around my book shelves and it just works ice when I want to hit some of the tough core. Imagine both feet in the loops, balancing plank positions and pike moves. I love it for that. Of course you can hang it over swing sets, trees, and on the Force one they show them hanging it off of a tank. You can get some surprisingly tough upper body work with it as well.

Good morning,

Wow we were a chatty bunch yesterday! We didn't end up going to the nursing home yesterday, we spent the morning at the hospital. It looks like he may just move into a Hospice room there. If that is decided today, then we will go get his clothes etc from the nursing home.

Judy, I went over to KCM site and viewed the clip of the new DVD that is being produced. It is a Live workout that KCM apparently filmed at her first road trip...I don't really like the way it was filmed....Kelly on a stage with the others....and all these people like they are an audience....she runs around and the camera doesn't follow her well, or the others on stage....it's very strange. I will pass on this one.

Diane Sue, I also had one of the Art of Strenghth kettlebell workouts and I believe I sold it on Ebay....the only one that I really like is KCM's. The others are seem boring to me. I also heard that Paul Katami was supposed to be good, but after all the ones I tried, I didn't want to waste any more money on them. Where do you get the TRX equipment?

Lynda, LOL on your description....a bald guy on a roof....as soon as I read that, I remembered that I used to have one of those too....:). Nothing to be done with my uncle at this point....he was pretty bad before he fell, but way worse now. The brain bleed stopped, but it did some damage for sure. He is out of hit with the pain meds they have to give him, and if they don't give the meds, the dementia has him hallucinating...horribly sad.

Valerie, do you have the new monitor etc set up? I wish I could lose my taste for sweet things. I think you would like the Live metabolic and Phat workouts.... but sometimes (as you read here)...the streaming can be frustrating.

Lori, those workouts sound great for the Lunch Ladies....so nice of you to buy them for that....I like Jessica Smith a lot too....her and Peanut are my favorite YouTube workouts....I have them bookmarked on my iPad. I always thought TRX required a gym and some fancy equipment...mmmm....Strong Upper Body Express and the Bar Upper Body are my 2 favorite upper body live workouts....I am so happy you convinced me to sign on to the Live workouts....I wish Cathe would put out a rotation with all Live workouts.

Hi Josie!

Going to meet my niece for lunch today, and agility class later.

Take care,

New monitor was easy to set up. It's a little bigger & much clearer. the old one had a melt down 10 days ago and was blurry/smeary looking. realized we'd upgraded desktop last time but did not get a new monitor so this one was fairly old. not much to do other than plugging it in and running a set up disk. new screen is very nice.

No way will I be streaming to the workout room. I'd have to upgrade the TV, another apple TV, etc. it's hard enough to get streaming to work in the main room upstairs .... I'm fine with dvd's. after buying all of these I'd feel silly not using them. I don't rely on indoor workouts as much as many of you do so I don't think I need more variety.
a rough night's sleep last night. I woke up 2-3 with sneezing and coughing. pollen from yard work. If I go up/ down the stairs, oftentimes it will clear my stuffed head .. don't ask me why that works, but it does. when I went down I heard our cat meowing in the garage...somehow got locked in there so I released him and he proceeded to make a lot of noise and jump on the bed and I never got any more sleep. so instead of hiking today we'll do a mt bike.

spent a lot of time researching stuff for my sister. she doesn't have a computer , doesn't know how to use one. relies on me to look up/order things. she is trying to cash in a life insurance policy. she can't find records or the account #, the company has been scarfed up by AIG long ago. so I dug out mine and found a phone# that worked and entered my info to make sure mine was accessible. won't help her if she can't find an acct #. I suggested she contact the guy who did her taxes, maybe get acct #, shows up on tax statements. somehow she lost or never had other documents. she is a mess. but she is very time consuming.
more later.

Hi everyone--

This morning I did both Sweat workouts (46:13).

Deb, I think my Lauren Brooks kettle bell workout was also on a rooftop. Not sure why they choose rooftops in cities? I did both of them for awhile, but I didn't see any revolutionary results from what was then a shiny new must-have new thing. I use the kettle bell now primarily as a doorstop. I think Cathe has a few moves that are similar to kettle bell moves. That would be easier if you did not have to transport your uncle to another place for hospice care.

Lori, that is really great of you to try to get your ladies on the move again. I have a set of 4 workouts by Jessica Smith with a modifier on a couple of them. I shouldn't have bought them, though. I think I used them once when I was impatient for the ICE workouts.

Valerie, there does seem to be a lot of cottonwood stuff floating around at the moment here. Max seems to be covered in fluff when he comes in. That 's nice of you to help your sister. It must be hard at long distance.

Diane Sue, those sound like extremely difficult moves to execute. I will have to look up TRX so I can visualize what you are talking about. I have to say, the last thing I want is some sort of suspension system hanging from my ceiling in what used to be our living room. I think Kim would throw up his hands and say "Enough is enough!" I am about ready to dismantle the tower which I seldom use, but I am waiting to see if Cathe comes out with dvds for them.

Off for some highlights this afternoon I hope--unless my hairdresser is once again sick and cancels.

Today I did Low Impact Circuit cardio only mix, 48 minutes, hr. 115 avg. /143 max, 290 calories. I then did some of Abs Circuits, weights and plates followed by med ball abs no partner and adding 3 sets of 10 barbell roll outs using a 45 # barbell, 34 minutes, 130 calories. I used a 15# medicine ball for most of the med ball portion dropping to 10# for a couple of moves. 420 calories, 83 minutes. I will come back for personals. If I can stay awake. I hardly slept the last 3 nights because of coughing and sneezing allergies. I am dragging around now.

Back from our mt bike, almost 3.5 hours. not all of it hard, our usual route plus some more. we were looking at some potential new trails to use but they weren't ready for prime time yet. some walking the bikes thru some partially built trails.

I think I'd said we are watching the Sopranos again.... it is vastly better with subtitles. Just enough words or expressions to make it confusing but the subtitles really help. it's not that old a series but some things have changed drastically ... phone booths hardly exist anymore and cell phones weren't very important then. amazing how a few years have changed all that.

I was thinking about that..... and then dealing with my sister. I can't imagine how it would be to live without a computer. can barely remember that! and here she is, doesn't have one, and couldn't use one if she did. never learned and her ex husband was even an IT guy way back when. she has some level of a personality disorder IMO and doesn't get along with people very well which has left her fairly isolated. she has no contact with her son who lives near by, and only occasional contact with her daughter who lives in TX. the only way she'd get a computer is if I bought her one and that's not going to happen. I was trying to get her access to the info without giving out her SSN if possible, but I'll bet that is the only way.

I never could get the idea behind kettleballs. swinging them around always looked like an ideal way to injure yourself. Ha... a doorstop!. perfect.

Diane Sue-a 15 lb medicine ball is very impressive! I'm still using 8.. I moved up from a 6 to an 8 a couple of years ago. Maybe I should try going up again. My allergies are really bad right now too :(

Deb, I think I got my TRX from their website and purchased the X Mount along with it. You do not have to have an X Mound. If you look at this link they show different types of workouts and different places to hook it up. And it can be attached to the door the same as tubing. https://www.trxtraining.com/?c3api=3300,31976562569,the trx

Valerie, it sounds like there is a lot of allergies going on right now. Just getting up and moving around helps me breathe better and stop coughing. Back to bed and it starts up again. I bet the cat was happy that you let it in. I had my dog Mudd get left in the garage before. She was always my shadow and would follow. She was silent about being left and would wait by the door. We have a friend that does not have a television and does not use facebook or anything like that on her computer. She seems pretty isolated.

Lynda, the TRX does not have to be suspended from the ceiling. I just like it like that. I have used it in my workout room with the door attachment like the tubing attachments that you hook it too. I remember when I had my workout equipment in the living room. I never had so many gadgets till I had my own space for it.

Judy, I have used a 20# dumbbell doing some ab workouts. I usually use 20 for the Combat Ab workouts. What is up with the allergies. It seems I usually get a reprieve mid July through August. I finally took some allergy medicine and Tylenol this afternoon. I need a good nights sleep,

Good evening ladies!

Today was a rest day. Just wasn't feeling a workout this morning or this evening.

Diane Sue...I have seen some of those TRX workouts. Good for you doing them. You always amaze me. I feel so bad for you and Judy with allergies. I am so fortunate not to have any. I hear they can come on from nowhere so keeping my fingers crossed.

Valerie...I can't imagine not streaming. Other than the Jessica Smith DVD's I just purchased I do not remember the last time I actually played a DVD. I have the ICE DVD's I purchased for the premixes but never use then. I prefer the downloads. Next series I will buy downloads only since I like making my own premixes. Glad you like your new screen. As for the Sopranos, how technology has changed!

Deb...funny how we are all different. I viewed the new KCM and loved it! :). That sounds less stressful for your Uncle to stay there. I would love a Live rotation! I like JS alot. She has so many workouts on Youtube I can always find something to my liking.

Lynda...After reading the reviews on this Jessica Simpson set it did sound pretty good and is decent if I follow the more advanced modifier. However, even advanced it is not as intense as Cathe but for my lunch ladies it is perfect plus I will still feel like I will benefit also - so it is a win win. I would keep the tower up. I believe she will be adding more and more workouts using it.

Judy...I hope you get some allergy relief. There is a coworker of mine that walks around wiping her eyes all the times because of the constant tearing. She looks so miserable. I feel for you and Diane Sue.

Have a great night all!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I did 2 Spinervals, the first one was a hard threshold workout and the second was an easy recovery ride. Total time was 1 hr & 40 minutes. Today I did a Cathe workout that I hadn't tried before, Total Body Sculpting. It's a beginner level workout, using light weights and a stability ball. To make it a little more challenging I did all of the sets 3 times and the ab section twice. After that I did Total Body Stretching. Total time was 83 minutes.

Lori-thank you. This is really a bad year for allergies. I'll be taking benadryl tonight and calling my ENT tomorrow to see if I can get in. Last summer he gave me a steroid shot and a medrol dose pack and that helped a lot.

Valerie-I agree on the kettle bells. When we first got ours, I threw my low back out trying to do a swing. I didn't touch them again for over 3 years after that. I am glad we kept them, since I do like the KCM workouts that use them. Her kettle bell moves seem pretty safe to me.

Lynda- There is also a Spinerval that was filmed on the rooftop of the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore:

Deb-That is so sad about your Uncle :( It's so hard to watch a loved in that situation.

Diane Sue-I'll have to look up Combat Abs, I'm not familiar with that one. It sounds challenging!

Judy

Good morning,

Yesterday I met my niece for lunch. We went to a Japanese restaurant which was lovely. I like all the flavors etc, I just don't eat any fish that is raw.

Valerie, Glad the new monitor was easy to set up and is working well. I think one of the best things that came along was the flat screen monitors. With all of your outdoor activities, I can see why you would not get into streaming, and yes, it takes a lot of tech stuff to set up. Besides having to have a TV that can be used for it. It's good your sister has you to look into this stuff for her...I sometimes wonder how older people that have never had a computer etc can get any info they need. It is funny when watching something and you expect the person to pull out a cell phone and make a call but they can't because they didn't have them then.

Judy, it must be a really bad year for allergies...John is having issues too and he never had anything like this before. Nice spinning! Just the name of that workout scares me. :).

Lynda, agree on the KB workouts from before. I really like KB moves but always felt the workouts needed something, like good music and a beat to work to. KCM's is like that. I am really hoping that the DVD's that come with the new Tower will be a good start to barre work for me...I need a really basic one to start with and then hopefully I can work my way up. I don't think I will ever get to Lori's level though! :).

Diane Sue, pretty good workouts for someone that has not slept well...I hope you got a better night's sleep last night. It seems like allergens are rampant all over the country. I think I would fall on my head with those TRX workouts!

Lori, I am like you...love the streaming, but I do feel a little "guilty" for not using the DVD's I have.

Hi Josie!

Not much going on here....hopefully a workout, and maybe a visit to the hospital.

Take care,

Yes, I love streaming too but just for the 'main " TV. just do not want to fuss with it in the workout room. and yes, I'd suffer terrible DVD guilt if I didn't use what I've bought. I do think ICE is the last series I'll buy however. I have so many, some I haven't touched in years, only because I tend to do only a couple indoor workouts a week. more in winter if the weather is bad. I still like endurance activities outdoors best.

It is so nice having a screen that is reliable and not going blurry on me, forcing a computer restart. I should have done this a long time ago.

we are having a normal weather year here. wet today, normal rainfall ...not like last year when everything was all dried out already. we never go anywhere on 4th of july anyway, but last year the fire danger was awful. don't think we're having a bad pollen year here, about average. grass pollen is the main problem for me, and if I minimize exposure I do fine. Golf is not a good sport for me! I tried... and wasn't a bad golfer for the little time I spent on it, but every time I went, I suffered for several days after. sneezing, itching eyes, ears, coughing...forget it.

diane sue, my sister has no money. even if she did, I doubt she would be computer literate. However, it's difficult to get information or simple things accomplished without one these days so it's almost a necessity. she can't drive either, for a double whammy. so she has to rely on the kindness and schedules of others to get anything accomplished. I tried to convince her to sell her house and move into senior housing that had services available, but she wouldn't do it...... a place that has a van for taking non drivers to the mall or medical appts, where she'd have some social contacts. it fell on deaf ears. she is hard to get along with sometimes. we get along better these days as I have the power to not answer the phone when I don't want to deal with her. mostly I order her used books from amazon because she has no other way to get books to read.

wow judy, that hill climber spinerval looks like a grunt. those people are sweating! I don't sweat like that no matter what. I go by heart rate mainly.

Hi Ladies,

Drove to Fresno on Tuesday to pick up my peanuts. It was a long day! No workout on Wednesday because I thought they would wake up at 6:00 as they have done this in the past, but they slept until 9:30. So, today I went to bodypump and I plan on running tomorrow and Saturday. My DS is coming over on Saturday with the rest of the peanuts and staying until Sunday eve. It is going to be a tiring weekend :).

I will be back next week to check up on things.

Have a great rest of your week ladies!

Josie

Hi everyone--

This morning I did live compound light weights (42 min.). Short and sweet! I wanted something short so I could do some cleaning in advance of my younger son's arrival with a friend for a member-guest golf tournament at Taconic, where he is a member. Defending their 1st place finish in the second flight from last year.

My MIL goes to the library to research purchases, but it's really too bad that she doesn't have a computer. I think she would really enjoy it. Sometimes she will ask me to google something for her, but obviously I can't sift all that information for her, and just try to give her a few bits. I think Kim might try to set her up with a computer this year. I have a friend who is very hard of hearing and the computer is a lifesaver for her in connecting with people, because the phone is really, really difficult for her.

I'm glad I don't have any allergies too. I have heard that this is a bad year for pollen.

Judy and Diane Sue--wow, you ladies have a lot of stamina for such long and hard workouts. And you are both suffering from allergies and sleep deprivation. I applaud your grit!

Valerie, given all your cycling and hiking, you don't need streaming as well. And it can be frustrating at times. That's too bad about your sister's reluctance to moving into a senior facility. My mom loved it and so many services were provided as well as social events--bingo, cards, parties.

Deb, have you ever tried sushi? I didn't think I would like it when I was first introduced to it by Japanese friends we had in NYC, but now I love it. You might try a California roll sometime with some soy sauce and wasabi--just to tiptoe in a little bit--and see if you like that. I think the easiest nigiri to love are the yellowtail tuna and fluke--not a strong fish flavor.

Lori, we have certainly been getting some beautiful days and missing a lot of the crazy stuff.

Hi Everyone,

After posting about Spinervals 24.0, I decided it would be a good idea to do that one today. It's pretty tough. My total ride time was 68 minutes, average heart rate 133, max 157. I was fortunate enough to be able to get an appointment with the ENT tomorrow afternoon. Usually when I call he is booked a couple weeks out. I think I will use tomorrow as a rest day and get some things done around here before the appointment. I took benadryl last night and that helped but I hate how groggy it makes me feel. My symptoms aren't as bad right now as they were yesterday and last night.

Deb-Chris has been sneezing and coughing more too, and he doesn't normally have allergy symptoms. That Spinerval was tough, but fun too.

Valerie-I sweat, but not as much as the guys in the Spinerval videos. In some of the videos, it looks like someone dumped a bucket of water over their heads.

Lynda-That's good that you don't have allergies. This feels like one of the worst years to me.

Josie-Have a great weekend!

Today I did Ice Boot camp timesaver mix 5 no upper body, 35 minutes, 191 calories, heart rate 109 avg /138 max. I then did Great Clutes compound, chair, and ball segments with the warm up, 40 minutes, 184 calories, 101 avg. / 124 max heart rate. I then did Lean Legs and Abs, chair firewalker and bonus chair with the final stretch, 34 minutes, 116 calories, avg. 90/ max 112 avg. heart rate. Total time was 1 hour 49 minutes, calories burned 496. I kept the weights higher than Cathe on most of the moves on these workouts today. 20's for the deadlifts. I used the heavy blue firewalker band for the firewalkers and a heavy band for the floor work. On the bonus chair on the lean legs I used a used 5# ankle weights above the knees on the leg work after the stuff on the toes, forward leg lifts, angled leg lifts, abductor lifts, and in and out. I felt a little more energetic this morning. I think that I slept more, at least between the waking up coughing and drinking water. I was able to fall back to sleep.

Lynda, I am sure I had the allergies when I was a child, it was just never identified and I always tried to hide it as much as possible so I would not be embarrassed. Later my mother treated it like it was sinus. I guess that was a step in the right direction. I detest allergies. If I can force myself to stick with a low histamine diet it helps some. We have a nice senior living area nearby that has condos and nursing staff available. The people seem to like it there. They have a small bus that takes them shopping at Walmart. Sometimes it is funny when I go and they are waiting on each other in front of the store or waiting to load everyone back up. I am often stopped for a chat or help finding something. I don't mind. They deserve compassion and respect. Some of them will be in wheel chairs or have walkers.
On the AOS kettle bell workouts they are not all on rooftops. They had sort of a location theme. Like Newport, etc. One was on a city street sidewalk area. I have several, I just cannot remember all of the titles. I think the rooftop was Providence? And then Kettle bell way was renamed from something else and was on a rooftop. I have a couple of others.

Josie, the peanuts can be fun and exhausting :) Enjoy your time with them.

Valerie, that is too bad your sister won't move into a senior living community. I guess she would need a computer to check out books and have them delivered from the library. They have that service here anyway. Or getting them digitally. My Dad had his computers and printers. He would have difficulty and not be able to get my brother or someone from nearby to help and would just go get another one. Whenever we went to NE to visit he would have my husband and I help with things. He just did not understand it all real well. He would lose his pictures etc.. But it was a great tool for him. My brother set him up with Facebook but I don't think he ever attempted to use that. It was the same with his cell phone. He would not empty his mail box. Outdoor activities are tough with allergies. Mine got worse after the day at the pool and a ball game then topped off with our morning walk. Then I suffered all week.

Deb, I like the workouts like the TRX that require balance. I think it would help as we get older for keeping some of that stability that we need. It is like any other new device for working out. You get used to it and it is not as difficult or uncomfortable.

I did Ice metabolic again this morning along with icy core. I got about 2/3 of the way thru and had to stop and turn off the music. I will TRY to stop complaining about this but this is a factor in whether I would buy another series and right now it would be "no". the workout itself is fine and its a decent workout but the screechy music drives me crazy some days.

My sister would be so much better off if she had a service to take her shopping and to appts. she needs to ask favors from friends and family, and there are limits on how far and how often volunteer church groups offer rides. right now she tries to shop with a little pull behind cart and walks back and forth. she has seizures and has had more than one walking, so far she has refused and frankly her house is such a mess it probably won't sell quickly or for very much. and she went ahead and got a large dog that she loves but will complicate moving somewhere else. there is no library close to her and I don't think they deliver so she buys used hardcover books and then donates them. most cost a penny, but shipping is $4. Prime does not cover that kind of thing.
Had my annual physical today. all is good except my doc is moving to another clinic that is too far to commute to. not bad mileage but traffic has become so awful it's the first thing to think of, and that limits things. I will start looking for another person although she will still be available to me for any tests and refills.

My allergies are not an issue except on golf courses, or lawn mowing. I'm grateful for that. only significant one is grass pollen, no food issues at all.

I wish I were better with electronics but I do OK with some things, and not with others. neither my sister or brother...both younger... use anything. I tried to show my mother 20 years ago how to use a computer but that was a no-go.

Judy, they did look like a bucket of water got dumped... I get hotter and hotter, but very little sweat and if I drink more, I pee more. I've seen people like that hiking with water pouring off them, while I get some small damp spots on my t-shirt.

Josie how hot is fresno right now?
this is out of order but I would try maybe a California roll if I was out with people who knew their way around sushi. I don't think it will be a good thing but enough people like it that I would try it if it wasn't my entire "no other choice" dinner. I would not go somewhere if there was no option to test a little and have something as back up. I have a serious question about the health risks of eating raw fish

Good eveneing ladies!

This morning was two SB Upper and core workouts and tonight I did today's Cathe Live workout the Summer something. Lol! can't remember the name. It was just about an hour and moved right along. I liked the boxing then step blasts (nothing to crazy). Was different. Usually I have no problem streaming but today the voice was way off on the High Quality so I switched to the lower quality and had no problem. Has this happend to anyone?

Judy...great rides. I can't imaging having allergies and working out . Awesome you were able to het an appt so quickly. The pollen on our screened in patio has been horrible. A yellow film over everything. Hoping you get some relief.

Deb...I love going to Japenese Restaurants. No raw fish for me either. My hisband and son love it. No thank you for me. Funny to look back at those old huge clunky monitors we used to have. You'll geth there with Barre. When I first started I thought I was going to die. Was so hard to get thru a workout with out stopping. Now here I am loving it!

Valerie...no worries about saying amything about the music. It is such an important part of the workout and I can see how you would be fustrated. I have had 5 primary care doctors since moving to where I live now. They either retire or move away. Such a pain to find a new one you click with. So sad about your sister.

Lynda...I like that the compound one is quick one yet I feel so worked afterwards. Oh the weather has been so nice. I am loving it.

Diane Sue...how did you like the Ice BootCamp? I like the live version better if I remember correctly. The other two workouts were great add ons. I also use the blue band for these.

Josie...have fun with the peanuts!!!!

Have a great night all!
