I will comment on the doctors' side of late appts. many offices have gone to scheduling from an "off site" location for a group of offices. one location schedules for all offices and all docs. the schedulers don't know the patients and don't realize that "Mr Jones", because of a long problem list, will always need 30 min. appts tend to be done in 15 min or 30 min blocks. if the scheduler doesn't pay attention she can schedule a complicated patient for a 15 min, when because of being complicated, the doc will always need at least 30 min. then people are late or wrote the time down wrong, and have to be worked in. or they "save" something important, usually the reason they are there, for the last second when the doc is almost out the door... "OH, by the way doc, I've been having this left arm pain", that type of thing. can't ignore that and bingo, you are behind the rest of the day. there is usually no way to make up the time without cutting everyone else short. DH was always punctual but things get in the way of the best plans and intentions. some docs are not punctual or get tied up on the phone. if it always happens at one office, I would complain first and if it doesn't change, go somewhere else because that is disrespectful of YOUR time. I agree on the first morning time appt, and go for that first. the first appt after lunch is usually on time also.
yes, diane sue good luck on the mamm. I hate the wait for the results.
we were going to ride but didn't and did garden work. I did a muscle meltdown biceps and icy core. something happened with my lettuce this year. most of it was bitter so I replanted yesterday.
Lori I never thought to ask my neighbor how she keeps her pond clean. hers is really big. will ask her next time I see her. I used to worry more about anything going wrong. well hardly anyone is that lucky. Now I think of it more as "good news" if it is manageable or fixable.
I don't avoid the disks. if I haven't used them in a while, I make sure I don't "over reach".
wow deb, your doggies get first class treatment... nothing but the best! good luck at the next run at it. for me pot pie and soup are also not summer foods. I will post the French bread crust pot pie if I find it online. I make it after thanksgiving when I have leftover turkey, dry French bread, and peas. I've also used mashed potatoes for a top "crust. once of those great ways to use leftover bits and pieces.
http://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/251503/chicken-potpie/ this is a close version of the potpie I make. from the same magazine. an older version used thin sliced French bread soaked in egg and milk and laid on top, then baked instead of making a biscuit dough. I loved the chewy texture of the french bread and not a big fan of biscuits.
