Today I did Urban Rebounding Extreme Metabolic Training with Gay Gasper, Cardio Metabolic Intervals using 2# sand weights through the cardio strength and 3# dumbbells for the final strength core segment, 54 minutes, heart rate average 136, max 178, 375 calories, 4,225 steps, met 6.3. I then put in Tracey Long Core Movements and did the workout on the disc that works, I think it is the Push Back one, and also did the core warm up on what I think is Bottoms Up. After that warm up , her voice is giving the cuing for Push Back and she is doing moves for what I believe is bottoms up. I was confused with it yesterday. The workout I did today is great. It has band walks and clams, core and more with a soft med ball, posture, and mobility stretch. She really does have some great stretch and mobility work on her workouts. This was 43 minutes, heart rate average 99, max 150, 565 steps, met 3.0, 142 calories. Total time was 97 minutes, 517 calories burned.
It has been a frustrating day. My car is doing the same thing it did before they "fixed" it in November. I never was able to get to the store today, so am trying to put together some things for family dinner tomorrow night.
Valerie, that is terrible that your sister called the lawyer like that. You have done so much with trying to help her. I am glad that you husband got rid of her message tirade. Maybe she needs to learn she has to take care of herself, and not expect others to do it. I feel bad for your brother when he has to deal with the lawyer. I can see exercise as a good outlet. You should not feel guilty for not spending time taking your sister shopping. You help her all of the time anyway. She sounds like one of those people that have these crazy expectations and pictures in their head of exactly how they think things are going to happen, and have themselves convinced it will, then get mad because it did not go their way.
As far as things hanging around the house, I have my mother's decorative plates that my daughter's did not want in a tote along with a whole collection of plates from all of the states and other countries we have visited. We used to have them hanging around the dining room in the house my son lives in. It was fun memories for awhile, but I got tired of taking them down to clean dust and just tired of looking at them. Most of my things sitting around were made by grandchildren
My husband has his overseas stuff hanging around and on shelves and there is my paintings. I really have tried to get rid of so many things sitting around because I do not enjoy dusting them and I start feeling like it is cluttered. Probably because we are in a much smaller space than we used to be. I still have quite a collection of clocks. I don't know why I have so many. At least one in every room. One is wind up and has the pendulum, one was my mothers and is a ceramic victorian figure clock, one is a Seiko chime clock, among others. Both of the ones that chime are not allowed. My husband hates it. I used to like it, except for when I would doze off relaxing and the silly clock would ring every quarter of an hour. It had to stop.
Deb, I cannot imagine why they let the woman on the plane either. Lucky she went to sleep for the trip. I think the dvd may be one that was defective and she had replaced and thought it might be okay for me. It really did fine on the one workout, since it has two. It was nice she sent it too me. I will just know the other does not work and which one is the correct one to open on the menu as they seem to have the titles mixed up. Most places do not want the defective discs back. It costs them money to have them shipped for something that they would toss. They really have not choice on the driveway. Some of the neighbor's driveways are so tiny. One has an suv that they have to park diagonally in front of their garage if they leave it out. We have parking spaces nearby, but the HOA does not want people leaving their cars there overnight. Even guests! I have not heard any complaints though and I see some of the neighbors leave cars in those spaces a lot. I would not complain, myself. We pay for those spaces and our private road fee. When my grandchildren come and stay they park in those spaces. My husband and I have talked about seeing if we could get approved for an above ground storm shelter and getting one large enough for some storage. I wouldn't want to put things with fuel or anything like that in it though. I keep my yard sprays and stuff in the low vinyl one. It would seem they could not refuse that, but they might persist in the shelter being in the garage floor. I am not fond of having my house on top of my shelter if it went down. We did have one in our detached garage at our last home.
Carolyn, I think it makes a bit of a difference when separating the weight monitoring from the cardio. I was reading stuff on the FitBit and how it works last night and it admitted that things like yoga that do not have a lot of movement may require someone who wants accuracy to edit it to read differently. Which is what I do. There is no way that yoga would get a reading of around 1 met score. That is where it would be for me with the Fit Bit which is the same as sitting doing nothing. Weights that are done slower and not so much movement are never near accurate either. Particularly when I am sweating and straining over it. I do better with faster paced higher reps with weights with the FitBit readings. But, it is a guide and motivator.
Lori, I hope that rebounding stays popular for a very long time so that there are more workouts made
I think there was an era with our parents that it was the thing to collect "knick knacks" or "what nots" and collectables. My mother in law gave my older daughter a whole shelf and all of her tiny figurines that she had. I remember my grandmother having a lot of the tiny figures sitting in her windowsills. The little elves and animals fascinated me as a child. Now I would probably not be so pleased to deal with them
But they were fun. I have a whole set of small Christmas buildings, elves, santa, mrs claus etc. that has been a tradition for my grandchildren to put inside my glass top coffee table to make a Christmas scene. I pack them away every year and we get them out again.
