Oh no! bummer on the inland sea! hope you got that resolved so it doesn't flow back inside. you need one of those wet/ dry vacuums. we use one to clean out hot tub and for any water-in-the -wrong-place issues. they are not expensive.
we have many good things going in our health care system and seem to focus on the spectacular where amazing wondrous things are accomplished ….. and then we allow drug companies to price gouge on "subsistence supplies' like insulin, epi pens, and asthma inhalers. it is schizophrenic. so many people get left behind or saddled with enormous debt because they can't get insurance. people die because they can't afford basic medication and end up in ER's because they cant afford preventive care office calls. we need to keep the good parts and work harder at getting the basics to those who can't afford it.
our road snow plow finally showed up late last night but the road was driven on all day and is snowpacked and a sheet of icyiness. we are at the top of a big hill. will be interesting getting out later this morning. most people who live in this development can go around and exit on a flatter road, but we are at the crest. gotta go down some which way. a Subaru with winter tires is the best. it is only 20 degrees or maybe less. cant read the thermometer yet.
after shoveling for an hour and a half I felt well worked. but thanks to regular workouts I am not sore at all today. I also did 20 on the elliptical while dinner was roasting last night.
