Peeps Doing the Happy Dance!!!!

Dani~ BFFM is a sound program and it still worked for me even though I eventually went back to 3 main (but smaller) meals and two healthy snacks. Good luck!!

What in the world is BFFM??? Help me out here Peeps, never let my little mind make up alternate words!!!!

JJ- I'm so glad your hip is feeling better. Maybe getting your 1 RM thingys done will be a good diversion for you. I didn't order STS because I wasn't ready and didn't want to invest in sooooo much if it was above my comfort level. But I am dying to hear how everyone likes it.

You are going to the game??? My DH would be soooo jealous!! He's an Eagles fan but not one of those typical Philly Fans. I hear you guys had a lot of tickets that weren't sold. Even I would go to a football game if it were inside

Vilma- ah water!!! The drink of life!!! It has certainly helped me detox today.
My boys go back to school tomorrow. I'm a little sad about it. But I think they are ready. And I LOVE routine. The uniforms are ironed and ready, the backpacks are full with the new stuff and I am planning what I am going to do with 6 1/2 hours tomorrow!!!

Dani- I have been singing Conjunction Junction all day. I have NO idea where that even came from last night!!!! My mom and DH said I was so funny they were crying. My mom has a great sense of humor too. I do have the whole thing on VHS tape and am half tempted to put it in today!!

Wendy- don't worry!!! She will get the idea. And they go thru soooo many phases. I just took down my baby gates for my youngest. Just to keep him out of places where I didn't want him playing.

Computer if freakin out. I'll be back

Hi everyone,

I have had a busy day here, so I didn't get to my early check in. I did get to my workout however, it was a cardio day with intervals on Cathe's rotation, so I did Amy's Hi/Lo Dome cardio portions then I did her kettlebell segment ( with a dumbbell ) from ASC 3.

Heather - you are rockin' girl! Keep that outlook and life cannot help but smile back at you! Let me know what you looking for. I will tell you this much, it is getting harder and harder to get advanced, dancey hi/lo workouts. I am getting kind of frustrated about that, but I keep going back to my old standbys ( Franny, Christi, CIA ), when I can't get anything new.
I haven't tried any Firms for a long time, are they challenging??

Saw a great dvd yesterday - Then She Found Me. It is directed by and stars Helen Hunt ( of which I am a huge fan). It was really good!!! Definitely a chick flick, but it really is a well done picture.

Speaking of books, do any of you read Jodi Picoult? I read 19 Minutes this summer, and am now reading her latest, Change of Heart. I cannot put this book down!

Got my bathrooms done today, and DH fixed a leaky faucet. Off to the ironing board!!!

Vilma, I love the Outlander series by D Gabaldon. I had a hard time with the first one - a little to much history and terms that I didn't understand - but after that it was great! I just finished the Lord John and the private Matter. You might enjoy that as well.

I'm currently reading Charlaine Harris. She wrote the books that the HBO show True Blood is based on. They are quick reads and enjoyable. I may have mentioned before that it is like a grown upp"Twilight".

Phyllis - I just requested the first book in this series from the library. I am excited to read it. I have heard great things about this series of books.

Good afternoon, peeps!!!

One final day of slacking today, time to get serious again, I am feeling so run down from poor diet and lack of exercise, although I did bang out 30 minutes of cardio at the gym yesterday. I feel like pumping some iron, so I'll be doing Gym Styles for a while, starting tomorrow!

Ellie...I bow to you...KickMax with a hangover...that is awesome...I've had many a hangover in my day, but I can guarantee the day after never included an intense workout, way to go!!

Wendy...Saw Tom C's restaurant on Top Chef, I'd love to try it one day!!

Dani..Didn't really care for the Borne movies, I'm really not into those type of films...never cared for the Bond series..give me a shark terrorizing a small island any time!

Gayle...you are 100% correct about having Cathe back with us on the forums, great chat yesterday...she must be soooooo relieved to have STS off to SONY.

Heather..thanks for straightening me out on the peep animals, I wasn't sure...all I know is that they have marshmallow in 'em, that's good enough for me! Keep up that great mental approach, I need to recapture mine...I know where it went...to the bottom of the cookie tins!! Officially re-claimed tomorrow!

Phyllis...looking forward to seeing you on the 16th...never knew you didn't care for KB?? One of my big reasons for loving it is probably the same reason you don't....no challenging choreography!

JJ...you're safely inside the dome by now..here's to a great game...I think your Vikes lose a close one to the Eagles today..if Minnesota had a better QB (that's quarterback, Ellie) to go along with Adrian Petersen, it'd be a different story today, I'm fairly certain!

Jill...hoping DD is feeling better!!

OK, time to watch some football, may bbl..have a great one all!

Hey Ellie: BFFM is Tony Venuto's Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle ebook... I 'got' it the other day (source shall remain nameless ;)) I need to at least attempt to reorganize my eating habits with more healthy alternatives, NO fast foods and less eating out (especially at lunch)!

OMG! JJ keep warm at the game!!! I have been to a few Seattle Seahawks (Kingdome era) and we had a BLAST!!!

Hi, all. No personals for me today. I feel like a bundle of frayed nerves. I took DD to urgent care since she was not feeling any better and I am SO glad I did. Not only does she have an ear infection in both ears but she also has strep. And the doctor said no school until Wednesday. Perfect...she was supposed to go back to school tomorrow! DH & I were trying to decide who would stay home with her. He called his boss and found out that he would have no work on Mon or Tues, so problem solved!

But wait till you all here this...Walmart didn't have enough of the azithromycin (or however it's spelled) to fill the prescription since it required a lot and so they called around to see who did. Walgreens did, so we went there. When I got to the counter to pay for it, they told me $230!!!!!. It was all I could to to not break down and cry right there. I called the doctor and she was irritated...not at me, but at the pharmacy because it is a generic and should have been cheaper. So what they ended up doing was making the prescription stronger for a shorter duration and after insurance covered $25, I only had to pay $15. But my poor daughter was not feeling well and was sitting in my lap while I was trying not to cry about the whole situation while we were waiting.

Well, I'm totally not up for making dinner tonight so DH is going to pick up some chinese food for us (since DD will be eating soup) and some movies for DD to watch over the next two days. I am getting ready to go upstairs and collapse on the couch and try to relax. I did have to make a few phone calls earlier to a few parents of girls that she played with to warn them to keep an eye on their girls. One isn't feeling well today, and her mom (a nurse) was wondering if she had strep.

Sorry about the vent everyone, but I was so stunned that something as simple as a generic antibiotic would cost so darn much.

Hi Jill,

So sorry about your DD. Keep an eye on her. Is this her regular pediatrician?? The z pack is great for anaerobic infections in the ears and sinus, but isn't usually the first line of drug for strep. Is she allergic to Penicillin??? That's usually what they use for Strep. Sorry, my nurse antannae go up when I hear these things.

The whole prescription cost thing is ridiculous!!! Azithromycin (erythromicin) has been generic for awhile. That price is just out of control. I'm glad you found it cheaper.

I hope she feels better soon. PLENTY of fluids!!!
Get some rest

I just returned from book club. We had a 3 hour meeting, of which we talked about the book for about 45 minutes. We had a lot to say about this book and catch up on everyone's holidays. I heard the most nasty story ever. The MIL of one of the girls in the book club pooped on her bathroom rug during the holidays and just left it there . Ugh, I thought I've had some bad house guests but that takes the cake.

(((Jill))) - I am so sorry that you had such a horrible day. I hope that your DD feels better soon and that you can relax some.

Wendy - Where for art thou??? I hope you got some rest today and that Houdini and you have a restful night of sleep. I have your veggie soup brewing right now for dinners this week. It smells very good and looks like it will last for awhile.

JJ - how was the game? I am sorry to say that I was rooting for the Eagles since they are my home team. I was excited that they won, but I am sure that you are less than excited.

Ellie, this was at the urgent care clinic but I do have to say that in DD's 9 years, I think she's only been prescribed penicillin once. None of the doctors (we have seen several in our family practice plus urgent care doctors over the years) ever seem to prescribe that around here. They use other antibiotics for some reason.
