Review of PRS#1: I conquered my fear and went straight to the more complexly choreographed PRS #1 video. I sailed through the warmup and combo #1 without issue. I broke a sweat by the end of combo #1. There were tricky parts to combos #2 & #3, but they were doable. Had I previewed the workout, I think I would have been able to do them without a problem at all. I was sweating steadily at this point. Combo #4 was trickier yet and I had to stop to watch what Cathe was doing-primarily because my back was to the TV for some of it. I noticed that she started throwing in some power 7s to keep the heart rate up in case anyone got messed up on the tricky stuff and ended up watching. Combo #5 is going to take some practice! Frustrating, but I will get it soon. She took some mercy by Combo #6 as it was a bit simpler than #5. The challenge at the end was not one, but two run throughs of all 6 step combos. I was tiring out as this was a second workout today, so I spent some time during the challenge watching while just basic stepping to make it easier next time. Then a stretch and done! My shirt was pretty sweaty by the end, but I wouldn't call it a complete soaker. This step video reminds me that Cathe had unique talent when it comes to step, which is where she got her start. Her cuing is excellent (nothing but practice and patience will help me with combo #5-it's not a cuing issue), her rhythm and timing are impeccable, and the music seemed just right for the personality of the routine. I couldn't spend much time looking at the cast because I had to focus on not having 2 left feet, but from what I could absorb, everyone was in sync. The Feelfitwear outfits look nice as usual and the blue Ryka sneakers matched the workout clothes-nice touch.
