Hi All,
Im confused about the paceweights. I have the steel dumbbells with the hexagon ends...do i just buy one set of paceweights, do they come in different weights??? Who has them and can recommend what I get and where I get them from...someplace on line would be great...thanks!

Pace Weights are 1/2-pound magnetized blocks that you can add to metal dumbells and barbells (I wouldn't recommend them on vinyl-coated weights). They come in only one weight (the 1/2 pound), and I don't think you can buy them other than from the Pace site ( http://www.paceweights.com/products/index.htm ) .

You can buy them in sets of either 9 or 18, with or without a carrying case. (I bought the set of 18 with the case, which allows me to add 4.5# to each dumbell, so I can gradually transition between dumbells that are 5# apart---like going from 20# to 25#, or 25# to 30#).

I think the case is a good idea, because it protects the weights, and protects other items from their magnetism, and is also a way to keep them neat and organized.

I haven't used them yet, but I plan to for STS.

thank you so much! I was confused about which one's to get and I think im going to order exactly what you have....i want to be ready for STS!!!

One correction: I just revisited the site, and I see you can buy single Pace Weights (though I still think the set of 18 is the best way to go, for spanning the 5# gap between weights, as I mentioned above).

I have them!!

I LOVE using my pace weights. I bought the case w/ the 18. I agree w/ Kathryn...easier to keep together and away from other stuff.

I like the idea that I can go from 15lbs to 16lbs and then to 17lbs...comes in handy!

take care:)

Pace weights are the best purchase I've ever made....I'm very happy with mine. You won't regret this purchase at all.

They also had a really great idea at the RT. Cathe and crew were wearing weighted gloves for increasing by smaller increments. I think that that's what I'm going to do, but I also have some smaller weights that I can use as well.
