Okay, where is everyone? I did MIC this morning, what an awesome workout.

I got the news about my computer, hard drive failure:( They are putting in a new harddrive for me and using the recovery discs they made me several weeks ago. Hopefully I wont be losing too much.

Be back later,

Diana

Classic/Phase 3/Week 13/Day 3

I am going astray from what a recovery week is supposed to be here I guess but I'll live. I have decided to give BBC's full body work out a shot today. I don't think some endurance weight work is gonna kill me. I'm actually craving it!}(

Diana, Sorry about your computer problems. I hope this is the last of them for a very long time for you, girl. MIC is KILLER! Good job on that one!}(

Well, I guess I'll come back after my work out!

Happy Hump Day ladies!;)

OK - guys, help me out here........I'm ready to go back to the "X" FULL TIME! I miss it, love it, but need your advice. I was going to do a 10K with my SIL on April 28, but the snowstorm we are getting right now is putting a huge change in my plans. I don't have a TM and so getting the runs in on snow and ice covered roads just will not happen. AND...only 2 weeks to get to 6.1 miles??? Probably not a good idea.

So................I am back to concentrating on "ME". I need to lose weight and get strong, so I'm going to look at the "X" with added running in for cardio. I do plan on running a few races this summer so I want to get back in that as soon as I can.

So, which rotation do you think I should do? I need to lose the weight first and foremost. I'm not opposed to am and pm workouts either.

HELP.......

Marcia.

Hi Marcia.

If you are not going to be training for a big race...meaning a new length that you have not yet done then I would say you can do the Classic rotation, sub in running for the 2 cardios in the rotation and then add one cardio to it to make 3 in total.

I added one cardio and did it on my yoga day. I would do my cardio in the morning and yoga in the evening. I started the rotation on a Monday so a week would look like this for me:

M: Weights
T: Cardio
W: Weights
R: Cardio/Yoga
F: Weights
S: Cardio
S: Rest

That is my advice. The X is very draining and exhausting due to the heavy weight lifting. I don't know how people succesfully do the Doubles rotation all the way through. I am sure there are some who can handle it but I considered myself in pretty darned good shape and don't think I could have done it! Doubles as written has Cardio X as the cardio as opposed to something harder but still sounds crazy to me!

I also would give a rotation with less cardio a chance to work for you. Don't forget, you also teach classes...you don't want to kill yourself girl! Actually, with the classes you teach I would consider cutting back the running to just once per week during the X but that's just me! I found that as long as I ran one time per week I was able to keep up my endurance for running while still getting the benefits of the X rotation!:)

So that's my 2 cents!:)

Hey girls!:)

BBC full body is done! Tough work out! No weights! There were a several exercises that I could not do for the entire time they did them. Talk about feeling the BURN! YOWZAS!!!!}( }( }(

Off to the showers now!

BBL!

Thanks, Wendy, this looks great and the advice is great, too! ;-) Yeah, I was thinking about that, too, with my classes that I teach added in it'll be a handful to take on at first. I will only be teaching my classes through April and then cutting back to one a week, which will really help me organize my own rotation like this one.

Thanks again, Marcia.

Hey girls -

Home late from work - my first day back. I'm exhausted.

Anyway, did everyone see Cathe's plans for new workouts? I can't wait. I feel like a little kid. The presales really make them affordable too!!!! 400 ipod workouts? I can't fathom them. I can't even use my nano that I have almost 6 months already. I am definitely challenged.

Okay, off to do some cardio - I think LIC or C & W. Have a great night!!!!:) :)

I just finished Shoulders and Arms w/ plank work thrown in instead of ARX. I found a workout tracker that I bought three years ago and never used. So, I am getting my rotation worked out (Thanks, Wendy) and putting that in there to set myself up for RESULTS!!!

I'm going to go make a nice big salad and relax for the rest of the night while I watch the snowstorm outside.x( But, it's suppose to bounce back to regular temps (50-60's) by Friday so one more day of this white stuff.

Have a great evening.
Marcia.

Hello all

I cannot believe this but I got DH to do L&B today. He says he thinks Tony is doing the nasty with Drea...LOL! I got home from taking DS to TaeKwanDo and he was home in sweats waiting for me to bug him to workout.:) Actually he was in the chair with a blanket over him, but it didn't take much to get him to workout. I'm so darm impressed that I'm just giddy. I didn't stay in the basement and exercise with him today since I had already done IMAX 2 and ARX and pulled a muscle in my lat doing the V-up sit ups. Don't ask me how in the heck I pulled a lat muscle doing that one, but I did.:( It'll be sore for a couple more days I'm sure.

Wendy - I haven't done that BBC workout yet. Sounds fun - I have only done one of them so far and really need to try them all.:) I think tomorrow I'll try one and see how it goes - as long as my lat muscle allows it that is.:D

Marcia - I think Wendy gave you some great advice. Personally, I found my best results with weight loss when I tracked my eats and kept my calories to 1800, especially if doing the X.}( I found that I definitely needed more calories with the X. }( Actually, if you're adding in more cardio too, you'll probably need even more calories in order to lose. It's so tough to say for sure since we're all so different, but I hope this helps.:)
By the way, I feel your pain with the snow - I'm sittin here watching the white stuff come down and piling up. We're supposed to get up to 8 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon:(

Diana - computers can really drive you crazy huh?}( Hope your unit gets back up and running soon.

Nancy - First day back is always rough. Hopefully you're not getting all this crappy weather too. You got me all excited with your post - I gotta go and check out the news on the Cathe workouts! Am I going to have to go and buy and ipod???:7

See ya tomorrow folks

Angie

Hi Xers~
I started the X in February not January but drifted over here, anyway, because I can't get enough X talk. :) Mind if I join your group?
