Have fun doin' yoga Laura. I'm doing the same tonight!:)

I went to a spin class this morning so my legs are fried and I am STILL a bit sore in my tris, my legs still hurt a bit BEFORE spin and now my chest hurts from y'day's work out! Amazingly enough my abs do not hurt from all of the ab work I did. Go figure!

It's nice now cause I have no work outs on tap for nap time. A rare occurance. I can be productive and do housework or just kick back and relax! Aaaaah!;)

Have a great day!:)

Hi Ladies,

I am feeling much better today. I did Muscle Max this morning. Since I didn't make my ww meeting yesterday, I will go today instead. I hate to miss my weekly weigh-ins. It really helps to keep the motivation going.

Wendy-I think you should relax during Joey's naptime. You could do some light reading for your PT exam-nothing to strenous though:)

Laura-My BBC has shipped also. It has the delivery date as Monday the 23rd. We can suffer through this torture along with Wendy.

I'll check back later.

Diana

Hello all:)

For a day off, it sure has been busy!:) I've been doing laundry, dishes and planning a surprise anniversary party for my parents. I still have tons to do but such is life........

Diana - Thanks for the suggestions for DH. I'll have to get Bootcamp out and do that one - it's been a while - and make sure it is something he can do. I'm thinking DrillMax might be too dancy for him but I'll have to do that one too and see. I don't have KPC - I don't like kickboxing. It kinda sounds like Cathe's new workouts might work pretty good also....can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve.:D ;-) Glad you are feeling better. Doing terminator when you are sick is pretty impressive. I've always wanted that DVD - I should break down and order it along with my pre-order when the time comes.

Marcia - Best of luck with the workout plan for weightloss. I switch things up as much as possible when I feel like I have stalled on my progress. I think that's why P90X worked so well for me - it was something totally new. And now with BBC, I'm getting DOMS again when P90X isn't doing it like it used to. This summer I think I'll take up running, which will be new for me also. By then, Cathe should have her new workouts ready. :7 ;-) I guess that's how I can justify all of my workout purchases. There are certainly worse things to spend money on!

Laura - Did you get CC push play off the website? I really need to get an ipod, especially since Cathe has ipod workouts coming out too. Just on caution when doing BBC weights - use lighter weights to begin with. I started out with 10# on triceps and I could not finish the reps. I went down to 8# and then even had to drop to 5# for the last set. He really works the muscles to FAILURE! I am feeling my tris today but my not my abs. Have fun with power yoga. I haven't done yoga since my X rotation. I know that I should - I just don't like yoga and yogax is the only one I have.

Wendy - I haven't done BBC chest & abs yet. I think I'm scared. Maybe I'll tackle that one tomorrow or sometime next week. I think I have full body on tap for tomorrow - haven't done that one yet either. The weight portions of these workouts sure are challenging! Thanks for the tip - definitely worth the money even if I only use the weights sections. Are you using the TM portions as well? If so, do you like them?

Nancy - Power Hour is a tough one. IMO you really have to bring it in that one too. I think that is the one where I get "shakey legs". I haven't done it in a while - her total body weight workouts are always tough and get the job done. Are you back in the swing of things yet? Hopefully you are getting some of this beautiful weather.:)

Cathy - So did you tackle CoreSyn today? Are you doing the X or are you filling in your routine with X workouts?

Off to fold laundry and then off to do Rhythmic Step!;-) Have a great spring day all!!

Angie

Diana, I took your advice...I'm taking it easy. I have to do dishes but I'm not gonna go crazy on the housework. ;) I have to go food shopping later though. BLECH! lol Good luck at your weigh-in this evening. I hope you like the results!

Angie, I can't do the TM portion as I don't have a TM at home. x( I previewed one for fun though and YIKES, I don't think I could keep up anyway! I have my Itreads that I do at the gym so I am happy with that for now...The weight work of BBC is no joke! I have had DOMS every day since starting and most of it is lasting more then 1 day!}( I feel some good things coming out of this rotation! I still miss Cathe and will do an all Cathe rotation soon enough but I love having lots of options so I don't get bored!:)

Good afternoon girls!!

I'm sooo sore from Power Hour....sore all over. I usually don't do a total body anymore. Boy, I'm feeling it. I don't know what I'm going to do later. I really should do some cardio, we'll see.

Laura - it's nice to know that my late posts are getting read. I sometimes get so many interruptions at work (these d@mn kids, lol) that I start posting, and start posting, and never complete it. Enjoy your Yoga!!!!!

Wendy, please stop talking up BBC. I can't buy anymore workouts!!!(lol) I still have so many workouts collecting dust but everytime I "hear" about another good one, I jump on it. I'm trying to shut my eyes everytime I see it discussed. Just kidding really - I hope you're loving it!!!

Diana - I'm counting points and WRITING everything down. I usually figure them in my head all day long but you know how it is. You conveniently leave stuff out. No more fooling around. I want to lose 5 lbs. (at least) by May 20th. I have a black tie affair and look a little "bloated" in the outfit that I have planned. I know there are some awesome muscles under there somewhere. My long-term goal is 10 lbs. Good luck at your weigh in! I really should make it a point to go to weekly meetings. I only go once a month to weigh in and I leave right away. I know those meetings can be helpful! Maybe tonight? I don't have to cook - we're eating leftovers. We'll see. What happens then is there's no time for exercise.

Angie - Yeah...those numerous squats make your legs "shake". Our weather is just starting to clear and the weatherman promises a long string of gorgeous weather coming up. I can't wait. We haven't had an ounce of spring yet so I'm really looking forward to it!!

Have a great evening!!!!!

Nancy:) :)

Hi ladies,

I'm so excited, I just found out my BBC dvd's will be delivered today. Maybe I can preview them tonight!!!!!

Nancy-I read your posts too. I usually re-read the previous days' thread before posting each day. Oh, I'm up .8lbs. I hate this up/down up/down stuff going on. I'm very good with my tracking as I use the online e-tools and basically track as I eat. Keep up the good work and I'm sure the weight will come off for you. The last time I was at goal-it took me 10 months to lose 17lbs. My Dr. said part of the reason is my hypothyroidism. I'm just a slow loser and have learned to accept it. Just keep at it.

Angie-my sons have done bootcamp so I expect your dh could do it also. I'm taking your BBC comments to heart and will start a little lighter than I think I need. I can't wait to get started.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Diana

Diana, thanks for the encouragement. As I age, I've become a slow loser too!!! I would like to use the online tools but I'm too cheap to buy it. You don't get that stuff as a lifetimer. Are you near your goal now? Were/are you a lifetimer?

Okay, somebody please post the link for BBC. You girls are horrible with your enabling. I'm going to have to look into them although I should probably do another round of the X (and maybe finish it this time) before purchasing another thing!!!!!!!!!x(

Okay, heading home. I'm hoping to get some exercise in and run to a WW meeting at (I hope) 5:30.

I'll be back!!!!!!:)

Nancy

Laura - Diana: You guys are on WW? I have the monthly pass, so I use the eTools once in a while. I've been trying to get to meetings, but with my teaching aerobic schedule it's been really hard. I'm hoping mid-May I can go faithfully and start seeing better results. I basically just try to eat as clean as possible for now.

I have a question for all of you - besides exercise, which I know is a great one, I need some stress reducer ideas? My life has taken quite a few twists and turns in the past couple weeks and I know for a fact that my bad eating and indecisive workouts are because of it. I'm just not sure what to do? Is there a vitamin or pill I should look into to reduce stress? I'm at a loss, usually I deal with it pretty good, but it's been a little much lately and I'm lost without a grip.

Thanks, Marcia.

Hey Nancy and Marcia-Well I've made lifetime twice before so I'm sure I can do it again. Right now I have 19lbs to lose to get to goal. I also use the monthly pass and etools is included with that.

Marcia-from reading your posts, it sounds like you are on overload. I know it's not easy, but I suggest you review your commitments. You can't be everything to everyone. Determine the things that are most important to you, and delegate or say no to the other obligations. This should free up some of your time, and hopefully your stress.

Nancy-you've decided to take the BBC plunge along with the rest of us!!!! I'm so looking forward to sore triceps}(

Diana

Hey there, Xers...Thought I'd try to get here earlier today...

Laura :: oh, *lol* I didn’t actually put in Core Syn and fall asleep (although the way I wrote it, it *sounds* that way)…I laid on the couch to watch the news after dinner (which was to be followed up by my workout) but I didn’t wake up again til the middle of the night. Sometimes the couch + TV is a dangerous place for me…I just rec’d BBC for my b’day…I’ve only tried a couple of the w/outs since I’m still in the middle of X, but they *are* good!!

Wendy :: didja take a nap today? I love naps. Naps are good. :)

Diana :: good luck at weigh-in…glad you’re feeling better…I am a slow loser, too. I’ve lost a little over 30 lbs. in 14 months (can it get any slower??) and would like to drop another 20. I attribute it to the fact that I won’t do a hardcore diet of any kind…I’ve just made small, manageable lifestyle changes. I enjoy food (probably too much:)) and don’t want to deprive myself of anything. Moderation is what I strive for. I'm OK w/ losing gradually.

Angie :: I think your theory about weight-loss progress is right-on (I’m justifying all my purchases, too :)) … I did not do CS *yet*…I was ravenous again today when I came home, so I opted for an early dinner. I am in week 4 of phase 2.

Nancy :: where do you work?…I always read the previous night’s posts as well. Good luck @ WW.

Marcia :: besides exercise, things that relieve stress for me: 1) a massage 2) a good, stiff drink :), 3) a good laugh

Have a great night, everyone! I promise not to sleep instead of work out! :)

Cathy :)

Hey Marcia ..

I am not on WW .. although I do reccommend it to people .. with the exception of their "quick start" program .. the calories are dangerously low on that one .. if you are exercising you can not eat that few calories .. your workouts will suffer and any loss you see will be muscle!!

I am the best on do what I say NOT what I do dieting advice .. LOL}( .. b/c although I eat clean most of the time .. people would faint at the amount of calories that go into this mouth!! LOL ..I usually blow it on the weekends religiously .. .. guess my lifetime of workout out .. being active .. and staying busy keeps my "blowing it all the time" off of me! (for the most part anyway)

as for stress .. I am THE STRESS EXPERT ... what works for me is a very kick@$$ workout session .. add in some yoga and meditation (Byron Baptiste can alway bring me some calm zen moments .. aahhh .. if only for a moment)!

If a heavy sweat does not work .. and yoga still does not work .. move on to the better phase .. some good old hard LOVING}( .. you know what I mean .. it usually will lift my spirits ..

if you are not in the mood for the above .. a good stiff drink (which I don't do liquor .. in my case it would be several beers) .. a quiet place .. no phone .. no BODY except maybe my animals .. that will pretty much do it .. sometimes a stolen quiet place in the day just for myself is just what the Dr. ordered ..

.. then I go to work the next day and it starts all over again .. LOL!!!:7

Here I am again!! Boy, I am chatty today, lol....

Okay, went to WW meeting. I lost .4 since my last weigh in about a month ago. I wasn't really counting religiously which is my plan now. I'm also thinking about weighing in once a week until summer. Diana, I don't know how you feel about the meetings but I find them so corny. "Yayyyyyy........Nancy (or whoever) lost .4 lbs this week. Yayyy....let's give her a star." It just seems so condescending (sp?) like you're talking to a room full of young children or idiots. I don't know. I know I shouldn't bash it because I do believe it works for some people but I feel like giggling sometimes.

Cathy - I'm a school nurse in a NYC public school. I live/work on Staten Island - the suburb borough. I have a great school in a upper middle class neighborhood so all is well. It doesn't pay what I could be making in a hospital but it pays decently (for the amount of work I do). Plus, I only work 9 mos. a year and I'm not running around a hospital all day getting varicose veins and bad feet. lol

Wendy - thanks for the link. I'll take a look now. Is there much cardio to use with a treadmill? I don't have one anymore - I had to get rid of our old one.

Well, thanks for letting me know everybody that you read late night posts. I feel better about typing a short novel.

Oh....took a walk with a friend after WW. We walked briskly and it felt really good. The sun finally came out. I felt like a vampire because we hadn't seen the sun in so long it almost made you cringe. I could really do more exercise than this anyway as I have DOMS everywhere. My inner thighs for some reason are really hurting. I don't they ever stopped hurting from GS Legs from days ago!!!!

Good night!!! :) :)

Nancy

And....here I am again!!

I looked at BBC and answered my own question. They sound really good and you have the choice of cardio option. Actually, they sound a bit like what Cathe is planning for her four-day split. I wonder if she got the idea from this???

Oh.....stop me!!!!! Maybe I could throw a few hints. Afterall, Mother's Day is coming:p
