Laura - Thank you for all the stress reliever ideas, love em' and will definitely try some out ;-) ;-)

Diana - You are 100% right, I am on overload. Thanks for the advice and I will definitely analyze what I'm doing, etc.

Now, for today - no idea what I'm going to do for a workout. Something fun!!! I had only ONE person for step class last night. I'm glad she came, though, because I needed to workout and we had a good one. Now-----for today??? Ohhhh, I hate not having a plan it leaves too much for error and getting so I don't do anything.

Help.....what is a fun workout that you all love to do?

Yoga last night felt great. My sore parts are much better today!:p

I have a busy day today but will get back here later if I can!

I'm not working out this morning since I'm not feeling good again. Hopefully I feel good enough to run or go to the rec center at lunch.

Good morning ladies

What a beautifuly sunny friday!!:) I love it! Gives me lots of energy so maybe I can get to the bottom of my never ending to-do list. I have an X upper body today - can't remember which one. I'll tackle it later on though. I still have cleanmax on tap before I get to the weights. ;-) Today is weigh in day for me and I felt skinny this morning so I hope the scale reflects how I feel. If not, oh well - nothing beats a good mood on Friday. I think that's why I have my weigh in day on Friday.:)

Hey Marcia - maybe take a few minutes this weekend to write down your workout plan and meal plans for the following week. That way, no matter what comes up during the week, you'll already have your plan in place. That really seems to help me when I have a busy week.

Laura - you crack me up with your stress relievers.:D I'll bet DH likes it when you are stresssssed! LOL

I'm pretty mellow right now because I'm sitting in front of my picture window watching the beautiful yellow finches and squirrels on a lovely sunny day. I highly suggest a birdfeeder Marcia - very relaxing and fun to watch. But, I hear the chores on my to-do list calling........

Marcia .. you just had to ask about stress relief .. my day yesterday spiraled downward and I left work in stress overload - work PLUS ..DH called and said someone made an offer on our beach house .. x( .. OK ..long story short .. Florida taxes TRIPLED this year .. we put a for sale sign .. just to see .. NEVER though DH was serious .. I just be dang if we got the offer we wanted (VERY LARGE PROFIT) and they want to put a binder on it . @#%!#$%@#$^^%^ .. WTH? I don't want to sell it .. but my DH has $$$$$$ signs in his eyes now .. OH MY I left in tears yesterday ..

.. did and hour class of POWER YOGA .. felt better ... until I got home and the $%#$%$@#%^$# computer decided not to work .. I thought about throwing it thru the window .. but instead stomped my butt away from the evil machine ..

so took my own advice . did yoga .. DH on long hours/midnight shift and NOT home so could not do the fun stress relief .. so dove into some coors lights ..

STILL stressed todya .. so today a 60 minute run is on tap .. won't see DH .. so going to probably dive back into some adult beverages and a very hot jacuzzi bath .. :D

Diana .. what is up with you girl .. you gotta feel better ..

Wendy ... my yoga session left me w/DOMS in my abs and hamstrings!!

Angie .. I love watching the birds too .. in fact bird feed is on my list to do today ... poor little things have not had any treats out there for a while ..

Nancy .. I think BBC is the PERFECT mother's day gift .. a subtle hint like printing out the website and posting on the refrigerator .. or mailing to your daughters is in order!!!

Hi again girls

I just got back from breaking into my folks house to steal pictures.;-) They went down state so I decided to play theif. OMG - that woman is soooo flippin orgainized! I wish I was. Anyways I stole 2 picutre books for the surprise anniversary party, which she has catagorized by year and family - can you believe that?? I have a picture box with pics just tossed together - if you know what I mean.

Marcia - for a fun workout that always gets me in a good mood - I love IMAX2. The music makes it impossible to be grumpy and really works the body which is so much fun! I also second step blast - lots of fun too.

Wendy - no cardio for me today either. I have a date with Tony and if I feel like it, maybe a mini date with Barry...

Diana - you've been sick for a while now.:( Are your family members or co-workers sick too? Hope you get this figured out soon.

Laura - You need a boyfriend}( Just kidding!:7 Wow - that's amazing about the house. I hear that the Florida market has taken a nose dive recently so that's wild that you (DH) got what you wanted and soooo soon. Sounds like you and DH have some discussions ahead of you this weekend. Maybe sell and get something else? It is a buyers market so you should be able to get a good deal. But....if this is your dream house.....ugh! No wonder you are stressed. I hope your computer decides to work and we hear from you over the weekend. Good luck with your decision.;)

Hey Everybody!!!

I thought I'd better check in before leaving work or I'll never get to it. (We get out early on Fridays - 2:30, and it is gorgeous out there!!!! - I can't wait!!!)

Wendy - It sounds like you're doing great exercising and you have the body to prove it!!! We're all holding our breath waiting for the 90 day pics!!

Diana - So how hard/high impact does the cardio on BBC look? I'm not into high impact - too lazy and I fear for my joints, lol! I hope you feel better.

Marcia - I hope your "load" is becoming easier. When I had a gym membership I would often show up and be the only one there in the class. I loved those classes. One-on-one. I bet it was great! I didn't know you were an instructor. (Or I forgot which happens more and more these days)

Angie - It's beautiful here too!! My to-do list is quite long too! I usually tackle some housework on Friday evenings...I don't really feel like it though. We'll see...... I have a feeling my pictures look like yours. However, I have less and less of them now that we have digital cameras. I really need to at least throw them on some disks before my computer crashes. I don't think I like not having paper copies of all of these pictures. I'm going to have to do something about that.

Laura - OH, DON'T WORRY..... I emailed my oldest daughter the site last night - I didn't give a subtle hint though. I wrote "Mothers Day is coming..." lol

Okay, I'm outta here. Have a great weekend!!! I should be around if I can keep myself in the house long enough. They say it's going to be a perfect weather weekend. Before long, it will be too hot and we'll be complaining about that.

I just finished shoulders and back. Great work out but I went a bit light on a couple of things. I'll have to up my weights next time. }(

I'm off to the showers...no time to socialize as I am running behind schedule! Sorry girls!

I'm back girls! I just finished up my workout at the rec center. I did a 40 min interval on the elliptical and 20 min interval on the stepper. My hamstrings and glutes were really feelin' the burn on the stepper.
As far as me being sick, the Dr. thinks it is stress related. I'm pretty sure she's right. I'm not really happy about DS moving out. I thought I was doing okay, but these stomach problems are still here.

Can any of you BBC users tell me how long the weight section and cardio sections are. Is it 30 min weights and 30 min cardio? I want to start tomorrow.

Wendy-I'm sure your 90 pics will look fabulous. You really motivate me to try to get some yoga in. I really feel a difference since I haven't been doing any yoga since the X.

Marcia-What workout did you decide to do today?

Angie-How was your weigh in? It sounds like you will be having fun putting together an anniversary party for your parents. I wish my pictures were organized. Thankfully I backed 90% of my digital photos to CD before my hard drive crashed.

Laura-I hope you and DH come to terms regarding the house. Sometimes it's hard to pass up a good offer like that. How often do you recommend doing yoga to get the full benefits?

Nancy-Well I only previewed arms & abs this morning. The cardio looks similar to plyo X. It had jumping jacks, squat thrusts, alternating jumping lunges, jumping up on the step (4 risers on each side). I didn't look at the treadmill workout since I don't have a treadmill. I'm looking forward to you joining us with BBC.

Well if you are talking P90X yoga .. ONCE a week ..LOL

If you are talking a short yoga practice - 30 minutes or so . . I would aim for 3 - 4 times a week ...

If you are talking 60 min power yoga .. aim for twice a week .. but even with one workout a week you will see marked differences in your flexibility!

I do hope DH and I agree and make the right decision .. it isn't like a "dream" home .. but it is in the perfect SAFE location for us .. for what we do .. for our going and comings .. very secure safe neighborhood and have neighbors that look our for us.. we can take are dogs and feel comfortable leaving them while we fish .. and we have worked so hard on it and it just feels like "home" .. it is a larger house than our real home .. and it is so nice .. to have everything there like we want it . . no shopping .. no packing .. etc .. BUT the money is the major factor in my DH mind .. we could make enough to buy a smaller place off the water .. aahhh...but my problem is we will never find a place like this that is "so us"

on the brighter side .. the couple that wants to buy it is like my husband and myself .. active .. down to earth people .. and they will be living there .. so they can make it more of a home than we ever could ..

going to say some prayers and try not to stress over it!!:7
 
Thanks for the yoga information laura. Being a former gymnast, I'm pretty flexible. I used to take a power yoga class twice a week and gained much more flexibility than I ever imagined. At this point in my life, I'm finding I need more flexibity training as well as the peace of mind that yoga gives me.

I'll let you all know what I think of BBC arms & abs when I finish that one tomorrow.

Laura :: you’re too funny…the whole post cracked me up…hope the Coors + Jacuzzi strategy took your stress level down a few notches. I peeked at your Picture Trail – girl, you are lookin’ ripped! And the Mexico pics were gorgeous. Best of luck w/ the decision about your home.

Nancy :: good point about the digital pics on the computer… I need to back up mine, too. I’m with you - I’m not really into high-impact…I try to take it easy on my joints since I run on the streets, and that’s hard enough, but I have found myself getting better with burpees and mountain climbers and all those other hideous moves. :p

Yesterday I was crunched for time, so it was 20 min. of yoga...Later today will be a run + either CS or more yoga.
