P90X Jan/Feb Starters

Good morning all,

FIRST - CONGRATS to Wendy for graduating from the "X" YIPPEE......you are my idol, I want to be a graduate, too. ;-) ;-)

I'm starting the lean rotation, but couldn't get moving due to a late meeting last night followed by no sleep thinking about the stupid meeting.

Marcia, Thanks for the kudos, girl. I appreciate it. I can hardly believe I got through it myself. LOL So you have decided on the lean rotation? Have fun with it!:)

I have Butt and Legs on tap for today. No cardio planned unless I decide I want some at the last minute but I doubt it. :p

I think I am going to have some DOMS from the arm work out yesterday. }(

Morning Ladies ..

Ok Marcia .. I was the FIRST X Grad . . LOL .. and it did feel like a very large accomplishment!!! I don't think I am stopping the X though .. I am combining it w/my other workouts .. took a planned week off from it (w/the assistance of kidney stones) .. but this week going to be adding it back in .. MY choice workouts .. LOL (I have not taken the after pics yet due to the kidney stone attack .. but plan to this weekend)

Angie .. you LOVE tornados .. :eek: are you crazy??? OMG .. my family calls me a human barometer .. I can "feel" them coming .. I have been thru about 5 or 6 tornados - too many to count hurricanes - and have seen numerous water spouts on the ocean while out at sea .. and rode out NUMEROUS storms at sea where I did not think we would make it in .. Mother Nature has my full respect .. she is a force that strikes w/no mercy ... weather has always facinated me .. but the bad stuff scares the crap out of me! come stay w/me during this time of year and you will no longer "love" tornados although you would be facinated by them!! LOL

Wendy .. been meaning to ask ..your running class .. how does that work .. is it an actual class w/a trainer .. or a group of runners that meet ??? ... sounds interesting .. I could not run next to someone .. my rythym gets messed up and the competition thing kicks in .. I would probably give myself a heart attack trying to out do someone .. LOL

Nancy .. back to reality and work this week huh? .. so did you get everything done you wanted when you were in Clean Max phase??

Diana - hope all is well with you ..

Amy .. have you ran down the UPS guy yet .. LOL

Last night's circuit has left me w/DOMS in my arms and back ..Today may be a short run at lunch . then tonight my Core Torture Class (the one the is similar to Core Synergy but combines plyo work w/it)

Hey Everybody -

Naah.....I didn't get everything done. As a matter of fact, I only did two rooms the way I wanted to do them. I figure the house will be there long after I'm dead so I'll let somebody else worry about it,, lol.

I have good DOMS from upper body yesterday. Today, the dreaded lower body. I really have to start with some cardio soon. I'm never gonna lose this pouch.

Back to work......................x(

Hi Everyone,

I am home sick today. IBS is flaring up and I'm too bloated to button a pair of pants. I hate this sick feeling in my stomach. I even ate pretty good yesterday. The symptoms started developing after my lean cuisine lunch and got progressively worse throughout the day. Okay, lean cuisine is not the best choice, but I keep them on hand when I don't have a lunch made. I'm hoping I feel good enough to workout soon. I hope to do the Gauntlet workout from the terminator dvd.

Marcia-good luck with the lean rotation.

Wendy-thanks for the bbc rotation, now my dvds just have to get here.

Nancy-I looked at the squeeze workout and it is getting good reviews. I just purchased BBC so I need to hold off before making another fitness purchase.

Angie-Maybe your DH would like Cathe's Bootcamp workout. The cardio is calithenic in nature so there isn't any dancy choreography. Another choice might be drill max, although the step is used in this workout. I just thought of another, maybe KPC. These are the only non-dancy Cathe workouts I can think of right now. I know the first two are circuits, but he could do the cardio only sections.

Laura-you are one brave soul living where there could be tornadoes. I guess there really isn't any place that mother nature can't get to you.

Hi girls.

I have the most awesome (and painful }( ) DOMS in my triceps from the arm work out yesterday! Holy triceps, batman...it HURTS! You know I LOVE IT, though! LOL ;)

Laura, My running class has an instructor. He creates running work outs for us to do and leads us through them. IE: intervals, hill repeats, etc. He also talks to us about all aspects of running from breathing to stretching to what food is best for fueling before and after a run. It's pretty cool.

Diana, Can't wait to hear your take on BBC!}(

OK .. gotta get mine done this week .. although I think your results put me to shame .. LOL .. but hey .. I have been having LOADS of fun as well as working out .. as well as pigging out ... as well as partying .. LOL .. I kick butt on exercise .. but blow it on the eating and being good category!! LOL

TY Ladies. I'm blushing now.

I must complain about my pics now and get it over with!:p...My day 1 pics are AWFUL!!! I look all bloated. I SWEAR I didn't have a belly like that! I wasn't defined but I didn't have that belly...ACK! Pics always bring out the worst in me! x( Day 30 is okay and I really can't complain about day 60 at all, thank goodness! I think day 1 was just a batch of bad ones. I got better at posing by the next rounds! :p LOL

Well, thanks again girls! I'll make sure DH snaps the 90 day pics this weekend before I go on some nasty eating binge and blow it all!:p :7 :p :7
 
Hi girls -

Busy day today, so here I am posting late as usual.:D Worked today and then came home with lots of energy because of the beautiful sunshine so I tackled the garage. Now I have a clean garage and dirty house.x( My poor house needs some attention! I have a date with my wash machine and vacuum cleaner on Thursday.x(

I still had some energy left after the dreaded garage so I popped in IMAX. After IMAX, I just wanted to sit on the couch, but had dinner to make. Bought some trout and pan fried it in olive oil - yummmmy!! I can't wait to get some morell mushrooms soon - just a couple of more weeks and they should be out in full force.:) Anyone else a mushroom fan?

Wendy - The pics really do look wonderful! No wonder you are satisfied with your results. So, now do you and DH arm wrestle? LOL!:7 Are you missing Tony yet?}( OK - maybe it's a bit too soon but it won't be long. Did you do BBC triceps yesterday? Youch!

Laura - OK - I'm movin' in.:eek: :D :7 Now, where do you live? LOL! How's SIL doing? Is she still doing the X workouts?

Diana - Hope you get feeling better soon. I do the lean cuisines for lunch quite a bit too but I pack fresh fruits and veges to go with it so I don't feel too bad about it. It sure beats a bologna sandwich and chips. It's also nice to have a hot meal for lunch at work. Sandwiches are just soooo boring! Anyways.....sending healing vibes your way~~~~~~~~~

Nancy - Are you getting back into the swing of it yet? Nice spring weather will be hitting us before you know it and give you a second wind. How's your workouts going?

Marcia - Happy muscles on the lean rotation.

Checking in a day late…yesterday turned out to be a rest day for me…today (Wed.) will be Core Syn. (I am in Phase 2/Week 4 of the Classic.)

Marcia :: sorry that meeting kept you up Monday night…hope you slept better last night. What did you decide about your X rotation?

Wendy :: the pics do look fantastic! And I have to disagree, your day 1 pics don’t look bad at all!! I think we are too hard ourselves much of the time…But I am no better – I always hate my own photos!

Laura :: hope you were able to squeeze in the run and enjoyed your Core Torture class. It does sound tough.

Diana :: hope you’re feeling better today.

Angie :: yeah, I agree – sandwiches are boring, but that’s what I wind up doing most of the time. I don’t feel like trekking down to the teacher’s lounge on the other side of the building and waiting for the microwave. I think I am going to buy a small dorm-sized fridge for my classroom, put some skim milk in there, and do the cereal thing for a change.
