Hey, girls :) Happy Hump Day~

I didn’t make it back here yesterday afternoon. I had a late lunch meeting with a supervisor/mentor after my tutoring session and wound up not getting home til about 6. So I ran in the morning but opted not to do PLB. I will push that to Thursday when my next run is scheduled. Today it’ll be PUB + 200 walking lunges.

Angie :: yes, I am an early bird…not always bright and bushy-tailed but I *am* UP. *lol*…You asked about the chiro, and I realized later that I forgot to answer…I like her a lot – she’s very nice (everyone in the office is) and knowledgeable -- and I absolutely feel it’s been helpful…No, I’m running 4x a week now…I work legs 2x a week with weights followed by either a run or KB…and then do some other freestyle leg work (e.g. the 200 walking lunges, KM drills, or a Squeeze mishmosh) a few other days a week…It does get expensive to dine out constantly…Starting this September, there are new regulations about what can be served to students, so I think we are moving in the right direction…My school offers healthy options alongside some not-so-healthy options. We do have recess, though, during which the kids have to walk laps…No further thought on the tat…I am still on Accutane for a few more weeks and read that I would have to wait 6 months before getting inked, getting waxed, etc…how was that root beer float?

Diana :: wait, you mean you LIKE the harness runs???? *lol* …You’ve written “DH’s girlfriend” a couple of times ~ does the H stand for something else besides hubby? I’m not down on all the lingo. :) …I don’t think it’s too late to arrange for tutoring for your son, esp. if he is planning on going to college...If you want to pursue it, I'd suggest contacting the school guidance counselor…usually, they keep a list of teachers who tutor on the side.

Good Morning Ladies,

I didn't make it to the gym yesterday and have my WW meeting at lunch today. This morning is BM2 Cardio only premix. My abs and legs are sore this morning too. At least I feel like I've been working hard!

Cathy-you are the early bird. It is nice to get up early and run before the heat and humidity take over. I meant to type DS, not DH as it is my son's girlfriend that is having twins. Actually, I do like the harness runs, they get in those quads really good.

Angie-Did you see the AUG 07 rotation-Lower Body Solution. I just peeked at it and it looks like you work legs 3x/wk, upper body 1x/wk and a circuit to hit them all again 1x/wk. You could always change one of the lower body to an upper body if you wanted to give this rotation a go.

PUB (minus abs) and lunges done! Love that workout.

Diana :: yeah, I did know you were talking about your son - not your hubby - but I was wondering if DH also stood for something else I wasn't aware of. Hope you did well at WW.

Afternoon Ladies ..

I'm baaaaaaaack again! ...

Jeeze .. think I have been at warp speed for some time now ..

weekend: Fishing trip was great .. BUT we got the CRAP beat out of us SAt. afternoon .. some high winds came outta no where .. we ended up in 5 - 6 ft seas .. w/8 ft rollers .. OH yeah had some sick people on board .. it was smooth 1 ft seas and the next minute the winds started roaring in .. the did NOT forecast that .. and we opted for NOT going Sun. many many many CABS were consumed .. LOL!

Mon. and Tues. RE-did my kidney test .. not fun .. but it is done now .. and used another carrier for shipping .. NOT the @$%@#$% LAZY #@$!#$%$#% here!! Keep your fingers crossed .. will NOT have to repeat the dang thing this time!

Monday did a run CC press play .. OMG .. have not ran in a while been too busy w/BBC ... it kicked my butt!! LOL ... Tuesday did BBC full body .. and as usual .. it was tough .. my abs are sore ..which surprised me .. my legs were heavy from Mon. CC hills .. so even the leg work was kinda tough .. not too mention how many CABS I had to burn off from the weekend ..

today is back to work .. FIRST of the month and we are slammed here!!

Did not make lunch workout . . had some must do's to get ready for the much neeed upcoming Key's trip ..

tonight's class is going to be a Laura Mixer .. think we are going to do cardio step .. shaping ... core torture .. and heavy weights!! got some time to make up for you know??}(

have not had time to read up on what i missed .. will try to get to it later ... gotta run.. have a great one .. and great sweaty workouts .. I know I will!!!:7
 
Helloooooo!!!

Things still quiet around here. We're all mourning the loss of our little 14 year old puppy. So sad............we loved him like crazy. My girls don't remember life without him.

Sounds to me like everyone is doing well. I'm assuming Wendy is on vacation or something. I hope she's having a good time.

Laura - So lucky!! The Keys are wonderful. We used to vacation a lot on Marco Island which I think is still considered a "western" Key. Well anyway, I loved it down there. Have a good time. How long are you going for?

Cathy - Hi....I work in a school too (school nurse) and at our school the nurse is entitled to eat the food served in the lunchroom and initially I took advantage of this. (I'm going back 12 years) Well, I gained 7 lbs. in a few months....7 lbs!!!! Needless to say I brown bagged it from then on. Recently, they've tried it with the healthier options but the kids don't really eat any of it. (I get lots of vegetables this way to go with my healthy lunches because they always have most of it as leftovers). And they claim to serve the hamburgers, etc. on whole wheat bread but the first ingredient is enriched flour so it's really not whole wheat at all. It's tough to get kids to eat healthy unless it starts in the home, IMO.

Diana - I hope your WW meeting went well today. I stopped in at WW yesterday because I was in the area. I didn't need to go yet (I only weight in once a month and I have the whole month of August to get there) but I decided I wanted to see what the California trip did to me. Well.....I lost .8 lbs. I tell ya it wasn't because I ate that cleanly although I did try to be a little decent. We did do a fair amount of walking but no other exercise at all. I hope it wasn't muscle loss........arghh!!! I've only done an upper and lower body workout so far since I'm home because of the dog too but my eating has been really clean since I've been home. So...we'll see.......... I hope all is well with you!!!

Good evening girls

Ugh! Busy and very long days now that the boys are starting back with sports. I didn't get dinner out of the way until 9PM!}( Well, at least I'll not need my late night snack.:)

PLB is history! Tomorrow is allstep and step&interval cardios only. Hopefully the humidity won't be as bad tomorrow.

Cathy - Sounds like you have quite a rotation going. Have you been making the gains on your runs that you were hoping for?
The root beer float last night got pushed back to tonight. They are small, but yummy! I bought some ice cream that is only 100 for a half cup and then I use diet root beer. It's just enough to hit the spot!;-)

Diana - Thanks for the heads up on the August rotation. Actually, I thought I already had my next rotation printed up....but no.:7 That's something I need to take care of tomorrow, along with a ton of other things. I will definitely consider that. Also, thanks for the web site for dinners. I saved it to my favorites so that I can look thru it when I have some time.
Glad to hear all is well with the babies. Any word yet whether they are moving in with you?:eek:

Laura - I was wondering about that kidney test. How long will it take for your results to come back?
Glad you had such a relaxing weekend.;-) What do you have on tap for this weekend?
I didn't know you did the CC workouts. I also didn't know you were a runner either. I thought you were too busy inflicting pain on your students to have time to run. LOL!
What did you end up using this year for flea and tick control on your poochies? I remember chatting with you about this before but I can't remember what you did end up using. Are you still having pest problems like earlier in the spring?

Nancy - Again - hugs to you and your family. :-(
Have you seen the Shaq's challenge show? I watched it once when they were trying to get healthy lunches into the schools and did they ever have a heck of a time trying to change the lunches. Geez - you'd think the schools would want to do this, but it just isn't cost effective for them. Also, you are right, if the kids aren't exposed to it at home, many of them won't eat it at school. This problem, unfortunately, doesn't have an easy solution. But, taking PE out of the schools curriculum is NOT the answer if you ask me. I've always thought the schools need to focus more attention on fitness/nutrition and personal finance. Just my .02.....
