I'm sooo happy to hear you both are enjoying the new workouts! I checked the mail this morning & nothing! Still have to wait:(
I've been so busy here the last week with the garden. We are suppose to hit our hottest before the end of the week & it's dry here too!

Cathy wow! How are you in the heat working in the garden! Bless you.. its been hot here to. Yesterday was 108 I mowed grass but I couldn't be in it every day. Dh stans out there all day piddling around but lately he has come in a little earlier lol.
I can't wait to here how u liked the workouts ! And did u. Read..
More new workouts! How is she doing it? I want to be that energetic dang I'm even younger then Cathe and id never be able to keep up with her. Lol. Have a wonderful evening and I'm glad u sound like u r feeling better

Sorry it's so hot where you 2 are! Our heat finally broke (high 80's here now instead of triple digits) but the humidity is what's killer.
Cathy: The heat will wipe you out - plus all that work in the garden... Hope you're keeping well hydrated!
Renee: I keep reminding myself that Cathe has been doing this since she was in high school. I think that it's much easier to STAY in good shape than it is to try to get back into good shape after being in not so good shape! Plus, we don't have jobs as fitness instructors. I figure she works out 3 to 4 times more than I can dream of having time for! All that to say, - Don't get down on yourself!
Yesterday evening, I did Kick, Punch & Crunch for the first time. I had the Timesaver DVD, but got KP&C awhile back. I find that my hip hurts if I do those jump kicks...:mad: After I did that, I did the Leg Conditioning Drills from Kick Max. Talk about being a glutton for punishment! Yikes!:confused::p I'm kinda sorta picking & choosing from Cathe's July Rotation, in case you're wondering why I'm doing the workouts I'm doing. I'm not following it strictly, just choosing whatever I feel up to doing that particular evening from the month's worth of workouts.

Jane It is actualy better today as far as heat! Actualy it is raining this evening so that is good.
You are right Jane that Cathy has been fit forever. I wish i knew how to get my face to stay youthful like hers, i mean i know she is getting older but her face still is tight looking. I hope if i lose weight maybe all the exercise will help my face too. lol I try not to kick myself! lol
Man KPC is an awesome workout an yeah the jump kicks are hard for me to for some reason I think it is im to heavy to be jumping lol
I hope you feel better today, how about sorness i mean with KPC, and Kickmax! Are your hips better today? So what is on the agenda today and tomorrow for a workout?

Cathy i hope you are getting some relief in the heat as well.

Guess what you guys im so proud of myself!!! I did cross fire today the regular one!! I had to modify in a couple areas cause i know by now what my foot can take as far as jumping. I am thinking i may do ttm on sundays take rest day mon and CF Tues everyweek and the rest of the week i can do steady state like bikinig, someone metioned that maybe the running hurts my feet and i didnt think it was because i did step and KPC and bootcamp that week as well so i dont know maybe they are right, im gonna try to do
throw in some here and there to see if any dvds triggered it. If it ant gonna trigger it then i know it was the running. Was it you Cathy that suggested the running? I guess i just hated to admit it cause i love to run. Maybe once the PF goes away i will be able to run at least once a week and no more. I will play it by ear.

Now if i can just eat right! I ate crappy this week and i overate.. why do i do that!!

Okay I don't go to the garden in the afternoon, only in the morning & evening when it's cooler! The humidity here is keeping things on the warm side plus some days we have no wind! I've also had to bring my black dog inside in the afternoon as he's finding it too hot & of course the other one doesn't like being left out so he's in too!!

I don't have the new workouts yet but hoping they come soon!!

I'm glad you both are trying new workouts & enjoying yourselves! It's great:D

Ha Ha Cathy i know what you mean about the dogs lol My big dog wants ina nd i have to let him when it is this hot. But oh my Gosh he smells like.......cheese! A dirty rotten butt! I can not bath him he is over 100 pounds and he is way to cranky i cant hold him down. If i get a hose out he runs. My son helped me last year bath him he held him down..he was awrestler in school.. while i bathed him then right away he ended up going to the pond out back and rollled in something that smelled like cheese again!! I hate letting him in but i feel so sorry for him to. So i block him off i let him in dining room by sliding door where i can mop good behind him. I hope that helps because i hate havign a stinky house !! I figured you went in morning or evening but bless you it is still hot!. Man i cant wait to hear how you are going to like you dvd's. Why are they taking so long i wonder?

Well i wasnt sure what i would do today, but the mail man told me what i was going to do by bringing me.. wait for it... "cyclemax"! I did the whole thing and i was sweaty mess I burned 475 calories. yah!! then i did HR upper body..i really needed to get wieght work in there. I felt really good that one i burned 249 calories on HR ub but i forgot to trun HRM off so i was also vacuming to
be burning 249 total lol. I am happy with it.. I hope the stubborn wieght decides to go bye bye very soon.

Now i think tomorrow will be an easy workout since i work tomorrow and i hate to workout on those days but have to do it.. so i may do Athletic step dvd or the low impact step not sure yet. ill let you know!
 
Good afternoon ladies! Sorry, but I'm still busy playing catch up at work. Sometimes, vacations don't seem worth it... ;):p:confused:
Yesterday evening, I did Gym Styles Chest & Triceps. Tonight, I'll probably do one of the new ones again.
Cathy: Glad to hear that you're not trying to garden in the afternoon sun & heat. I know our dogs are panting like crazy, even though we keep the house at 76 or 77. All 3 of ours are in, & they're all around 100 to 120 pounds. We literally have to step over them sometimes!
Renee: GREAT JOB on CrossFire & Cycle Max!!!! Plus HR Upper? Wow! You were full of energy, weren't you? Did you enjoy Cycle Max? My DH wants me to get a bicycle so we can go riding together in the evenings. I don't have the heart to tell him I'd rather have a spin bike! LOL I'm struggling with my eating this week, too. I don't know what's up with that. Just eating too much. GRRR! :mad: I feel like I'm wasting all of my hard work, but once I get on a roll, it seems impossible to stop myself!:mad:
Did either of you see the report that a minister in Arizona was arrested for having Bible Study in his home? Also saw that a group of Christians was stoned in Cleveland, Ohio by Muslims. Things are starting to get crazy!

I was gonna do legs n glutes but my legs are so so sore from cross fire i guess and cycle max. That cyclemax wasn't easy. I need to do a. Weight work for legs but I think all the soreness means I worked them good enough so I felt like doing a low impact steady state lol. Well I choose lowmax! What was I thinking!? I planned on 45 minutes of it so 1-4 sections .boy....I forgot about the blasts... the legs. Lol may need to do a nice walk tomorrow. I miss running but..that's life.

Cathy hope your week is going great.
I can't get on forum on computer btw.... it kept saying to put info in tthe fiels and I did but still kept saying it. So I can't plug in my workouts. Grrrr lol

Last night I took as a rest day. I'm feeling super tired today, too. :confused: Evening before, I did To The Max Extreme. I didn't have to rest nearly as much as I did the first time through, so I was very pleased with that! I still don't try to do box jumps on 3 risers, though. I'm sticking with 2!
Renee: Too funny! Low Max!!! One of my favorites, but it IS killer leg work! The 2nd blast is the hardest for me to do of all of them. By the time I get through it, my legs are fried!!! You're saying OW with every step, aren't you? I would think Cycle Max would be a leg fryer!
Cathy: How's your garden doing? Is the weather still hot & humid? We desperately need rain. Our grass is the color of wheat.
Presale begins Monday! YAY! Can you holler "CHARGE!"? :p:eek:

I did cardio and weight that one is fun...and I burned 495 calories with it? Yes foot sore still..so I may rest tomorrow will see.

Hope you both had great weekends! I did Butts & Guts on Friday evening including the bonuses. Took a break on Saturday, then did Yoga Relax yesterday. I have to run DH somewhere to drop off his car tonight, so doesn't look good for a workout tonight. Got my PreSale order in! Got some more firewalker bands since I broke the blue one & the green one in the same week! Drat!!!!!

Jane! Butrs and gutts?! I heard that one is hard! Ouch wtg!

I'm not sure what to do today. Yesterday was rest day. Ca t make up my mind if I want to do cross fire or cycle. I have tomorrow off work so I may do cross fire then plus legs n glutes I have to get in a leg workout.. confused on how to workout anymore ... I want hard workouts cardio wise two times and matbe less intense two times and add some weight training. I end up doing more just cause I get confused on how best to do them lol. I did just get in the mail Kelly Coffey 30 minutes step boxing. And her muscle definition. I may do one of them. Or 30 min of stepboxing then 30 min of total body and knock it out. Have you guys tried her? I got it for days after work that I need less intensity! I reviewed yesterday but I hope I can do punches in right sequence ..if not ill be punching whenever and whatever I guess that would burn calories to.lol.

Last week was a very bad with not much sleep. The depression is slowly lifting & hopefully will be able to start back on exercise dvds!

Cathe I'm so sorry! Is this the same pain or different and if its different have you seen doctor for it? I know you have been having back problems. I'm sorry about the depression ...I do this to. And lack of sleep makes it worse.
 
Im back to tell you guys what i decided on as far as workouts today. I did not do Crossfire today i will do it tomorrow! I have more time. I decided on 30 minutes definition from KCM she isnt bad! I think it was the perfect amount of reps for the weight i used. I usualy cannot do all the reps but with KC I can do the reps and feel like im succeeding. I think ill have the right amount of DOMS.

I think i tend to over due stuff. Like on days i do weights i still feel like i have to do cardio and then i wonder why im tired all the time. Well anyway im gonna try to do weights two times a week and cardio 3 or 4 times. The cardio im going to have high intensity type two times and the other one or two cardios will be low impact or low intensity and see how that goes for awhile. I will do cycle max on thursday i probly will need to do it to rest my foot after Crossfire. It is hurting some today. we will see how it goes tomorrow.
 
I did crossfire today! Fun I did low impact and I still burned 2 more calories then doing the regular workout. Yeah.



Oh gawd! I have to add DH put down his beer this evening to do.... CATHES CYCLE MAX! Whoo hooo! I hope he liikes it or hates it in a good way. I put hIM on express mix since he hasn't done it before! Can you guys believe it? ! Thankuou Cathe!

IM BACK TO SAY HE LOVED IT HE COULD NOT DO IT ALL BUT HE DID DO 25 MINUTES!! IM SO HAPPY! HE TOLD ME THANKS AND TO KEEP AT HIM TO DO IT IT WAS JUST WHAT HE NEEDED!!

I did CrossFire Extreme on Monday evening, & I did Step Blast on Weds. evening. I finally broke down & bought Step Blast. I didn't preview it, so I had to rewind a couple of places, but generally, enjoyed it a lot.
Renee: KUDOS!!!! That is SO exciting that you got your DH involved & he liked it!!!! Way to work it, girl!!! YAY!!!! I think you may have hit on a nice plan for your workouts. You probably were trying to do too much at one time.
Cathy: HUGS!!! I'm so sorry about your pain & lack of sleep! Is today physio? I hope & pray physio will bring you some MUCH-needed relief!
It finally rained here yesterday & hopefully we'll get some more today. We need it so bad!

I did Slow & Heavy Triceps & Biceps yesterday evening. It felt really good - nothing hurt! & except for a couple of exercises, was able to match Cathe's weight! That's a FIRST! I much prefer weight lifting any more. I used to prefer cardio. Funny how your tastes change.
