OMG! Started STS over. Major DOMS.

Haha - SO true. I stared STS over about a month ago (doing 6 month this time) and my first leg workout seriously had me in pain for almost a full week!! It was crazy - totally as I had never worked out before in my life. So funny. Love that we keep getting results and DOMS even after doing STS once through. Sign of a sucessful product IMHO!
 
wouldn't 5% be a pretty big increase? i am doing what tracy is , by just using my notes from the last time and adding maybe 1# to them. some of the stuff is still really hard even with the same weight. i forgot how hard meso 1 is. i have been more sore this time than the first time. go figure. and i did read that post from snm about doing your 1rm once a year.

Maybe so. I got the 5% from the meso 3 goal, but the exercises aren't the same. Thanks for advice. I'll plan on using current 1rep max and make weight adjustments if I don't think it is tough enough...ha ha!;)
 
Yowza...

I started my 2nd sts rotation (3month, 6 month the first time) and I find that the exercises are harder the 2nd time. I made adjustments based on my notes, some weights increased by 5-15 pounds, some by 1 pound. Some of exercises was right on point, such as a 35 barbell curl, I never thought I could use a 35pound barbell. My first round I used a 20lb barbell. I think one of the reasons as to why it appears harder for me, is the number of reps. I am doing more reps at a higher poundage and it could be that my 1rep max was a little low the first time around.

I cant wait to see my results after doing the 3month rotation. At the start of the 6month rotation my weight was 240, after my weight is 199. I lost a total of 41 pounds:p I am finally under the 200 pound mark, cant wait for the sts cardio..Veronia
 
Yeah, WOW Veronia!!! 41 pounds is unbelievable!! Congratulations!!

I also have to comment on how unbelievably sore I get from the meso 1 leg workouts!! They're killers!! I think I'm going to follow the advice of the grab bar by the toilet, but it even hurts just to sit there!! lol - oh well! It's worth it because of the results we get! :D

And to think that I thought I should add 5% to my 1 rep max...just started Meso 1 on Monday and my chest is on fire. Forgot about all those push ups. How do you like the 6 month rotation so far? I'm thinking I may go that route. Need to decide by next Monday.

Guys, this thread is so scary, honestly! I just started STS for the first time this week, actually yesterday was my very first disc - chest, choulders, biceps, and today I had a hard time lifting my hands to comb my hair in the morning! Everything hurts...... and to think about those leg workouts.. my god.. how am I gonna do that....

One my second trip through STS. Just finish 8 weeks of Meso 1. I decided to do the 6 month rotation this time. All I can say is that I'm glad that I'm having a recovery week this week. I don't remember being so tired and sore the first time through. I'm lifting heavier though, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. I was fine last time. I even skipped my recovery between meso 1 and 2. Not this time though. Gonna enjoy my 4 days of cardio this week. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
