Okay, What's the story behind your Cathe name?

I love this thread, too. My husband's nickname is Mel (for melonhead--his dad started calling him that when he was young). When we were still dating, we were talking about getting married and I told him he needed to know I wouldn't change my name. I'm a feminist and I believe very strongly that it's every woman's right to choose whether to do that or not, and I choose not to. His response was, "That's okay, honey, you can be Mrs. Mel!" I just loved that.

So, that's the screen name I use all over the web.

Mine started out "aldrnbsn" and was changed to "alsrnbsn" after I got married....Holy Cow, has it been 9 years already????

Anyway, it's my initials "als", my profession, "RN", and my college degree, "BSN".

I use it for my email and almost all my screennames....funny, it's the only time I actually use my middle initial!
