Oh No! Patrick Swayze!!!

Truly heartbreaking. It is sad to to think that when I watch Dirty Dancing yet again both he and Jerry Orbach are no longer with us.

I heard the news last night about 10pm and told my husband and daughter age 17. They were all as saddened as I was. He was known by all so it seems.

I saw him during the Barbara Walters interview and knew his time was very limited. He told of his day-to-day, and minute-to-minute struggle. It was no picnic and he was a fightin' man you could tell.

His wife is very strong and brave and stood beside him every step of the way. She will surely miss him.

May he rest in peace, and his memories in movies live on...anyone up for "Ghost"? ;)

Yeah, this one got to me. Was crazy in love with him in high school- Dirty Dancing of course (I know every word of dialogue and the songs!) and North and South were the standouts for me. I knew it wouldn't be long, hardly anyone survives that kind of cancer, but I was really hoping he would beat the overwhelming odds.

I LOVED him in North and South!!! That is actually the first movie I ever saw him in.

I am saddened by his passing!! That being said, I knew that the odds were stacked against him, particularly because he refused to quit smoking and smoking is not only the leading cause of pancreatic cancer (and other cancers) but it also compromises the immune system.

He was a good guy and he will be missed.

May he rest in peace.

Anyone know: Did he ever get to do a dance movie with his wife that he said he always wanted to do?

I know he was in Roadhouse with his wife, but I really don't remember if they danced in that one. I have almost everyone of his movies, and my most favorite is To Wong Foo. :) Loved North and South also. He will be missed.

I always thoughts he was a great actor and a VERY hansome man! hehe!:D It's sad that he's gone now. Hopefully towards the end he wasn't in too much pain....:(
