Oh man! This DOMS from Gym Style Legs is BAD!

Cathlete
I just ordered the entire gym style series.

The chest and tris absolutely killed me the next day! But I survived and loved it. The BSB was awesome, and my bi's were especially in pain...BUT, the gym style legs - I am still in severe pain 3 days later!? HUH? My calves cannot recover from this. I cannot walk - I look like I am limping still. Although I thought the workout was challenging while doing it, I did not expect this sort of pain. It gets progressively worse each day. I am fueling on the protein. I don't know what the deal is. I don't know how else to recover. I can't even do any cardio, which sucks. My inner thighs feel like they have nails drilled into them. Just thought I would share the pain!! :)

Clarissa :)

GS Legs is on my rotation for tomorrow. I think this is Cathe's best leg w/o. I didn't get DOMS, but got a bad case the first time with Pyramid Legs, so know what you're going through-OUCH!!! Mine lasted about 4 days and the only thing that helped was yoga.

I did GS Legs Monday and Wednesday. My calves were cooked. On Wed I couldn't do the calf work. Its eased off today but Tues and Wed I was limping around. Tuesday was an upper body day so my calves didn't effect my workout.

I really wanted to do this tomorrow again, but we'll see. No way on the calves, for sure. I am one to push myself to my limits, but I physically could NOT do this on the calves tomorrow!!

I think the calf work in Gym Style Legs is the toughest of all of Cathe's lower body workouts -- that variety in the pulsing does me in good ... I whimper near the end! :)

I just did this workout yesterday and the only place that i have doms is in my calves....ouchie,and I had to whimp out towards that bonus set too.

This is the first time ive never had doms from GS legs(besides my calves),but i have yet to try the floor work, maybe its time to do it?

Clarissa-I hope your DOMS are better now:)

You gotta do the floor work! That is the BEST BEST Part! NO - my DOMS are still here. I can't believe my calves are that weak!!

I have been PLANNING to do GS legs for the first time, and it took me a week to psych myself up for it, which of course was harder to do when this topic was started!!! So, I just finished and I am in awe. What an incredible workout - unique moves, ultra challenging reps and bonuses... WOW!!!! Clarissa, I kept thinking to myself during the workout that I will SO have DOMS tomorrow!!! I agree about the floor work - major burning and shaking going on.

Clarrisa-I will try the floor work the next time I do the workout...you talked me into it;-)I did start it one day but dang,i was soooooo done by then,LOL.

It took my calves about 4 days to get over the doms ...wow!

It took mine 5-6 days! Haha. Now I will have to try that type of calf endurance on some of my clients. Mwah ha ha ha!

I am doing GSL again today, wish me luck!

I injured my calf several months ago. I knew that when I was finally able to do the GSL calf work, I was healed! It's a goody, for sure!

I finished GS legs 36 hours ago, or at 8 PM Sunday night. I was sore yesterday, but today I feel like I was hit by a truck! I can't walk normally. Then I was doing GS chest and tri this morning and I dropped the right side of my barbell on my right thigh at the start of chest presses. Talk about adding insult to injury! Now I've got a big ol' bruise on my quad which was already crying in DOMS. But, I have to say I LOVE GYMSTYLES!!!! I avoided purchasing them for 2 years, thinking they sounded too 'manly'. Whatever. They are my favs.

My calves are still hurting!!! When I stand after sitting (or getting out of bed), OUCH!! There's no 'spring' in my step. I'm walking like a caveman, or as my husband so delicately put it, like a man with a chapped a**crack!

I just completed GS legs for the very first time today. I am totally DREADING tomorrow and the day after! After reading this post, I knew it would be a toughie, but I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the very beginning of the stretch. My outer thighs (as well as the rest of my legs) were on fire! What great workouts the GS series is! Thanks to all of you who praised these workouts on this forum.

Now I totally want to order this! I was debating between GSL and Butts and Guts, and I went with B&G. I did the B&G workout this morning and didn't enjoy it that much...just didn't "click" with me this morning. I did enjoy the firewalkers but now I can do those on my own.

I freakin' LOVE calf work (no idea why) and so I really want GSL now...so sad I spent $ on B&G and won't use it!

I also ordered Bootcamp and did that...and LOVED IT!!!
