The clothing thread got me thinking, it's time I get some new jeans. My current favorite are Express low rise boot cut.

I feel it's time to treat myself to a new pair. What do you suggest - they MUST be low rise!

What brand to you wear and love?

I hate trying on jeans. I feel so fat when trying to find the right jeans.Any suggestions on style for someone who has curves.Butt, thighs, hips? I wish I could find a pair that would fit me right. They seem like theyre only made for straight skinny girls with no butts or thighs. help Laura

I love AG jeans and Lucky jeans. I like mid-rise, not low rise. They just look better on me. :)

Laura, if you have a butt and hips try anything that says "Relaxed Fit". Those are what you're looking for.

Also, remember if the pants have a gap in the back or are too long, just take them to a tailor and they will alter them for about $5. :)
Nordstrom's and Von Maur alter jeans for free. They'll call the seamstress right into the dressing room.

Thanks Dani! I just posted about this in your Oprah jean thread.

I just scored on a pair of Paige Premium Denim Jeans on ebay! The normally retail for $170 but that's just ridiculous! I got them for $80 which is the max I'll pay for jeans. They are the best fitting jeans I've ever put on - they actually call them "the butt" jeans, lol. The designer, Paige, is the most sought after fit model (from what I've read) for jean designers and she decided to put her expertise to use.

I also like Rock and Republic jeans, we have an outlet that sells them at 70% off.

Jean preference and fit is so personal that it's really hard to take someone elses favorites and make them work for me. For example I absolutely hate jeans that are tight around my thighs and knees, it drives me insane to have that tight binding feeling. I don't like the look of tight jeans either. I think a slightly loose fit is more flattering on most people. I look for a medium to low rise with a relaxed straight leg in jeans. For me the jeans that I'm most comfortable in and think look the best are Ralph Lauren Saturday Jeans, or Lucky Easy Riders.

Love my Gap Fit n' Flares and the Gap Long & Lean cut. Both are low rise, but not ultra LR.

Also like Paper Cloth & Denim for excellent fit.

Eddie Bauer low rise stretch boot cut. My DH loves them and always complements me when I wear them and says "you should buy more"!

I could really use a pair of jeans too, but where do you even start to shop? There are so many jeans in the world, it's just overwhelming. Is there anyone else here who is short, has a flat butt, narrow thighs, a big waist and who loves their jeans?

I learned from Dani's Oprah post look for jeans that have a flap or pocket or something in the back to make my butt look shapelier, which seemed like a good tip.
