Number of calories burned

Cathe, How do I count the number of calories burned during my workouts? Is ther not a general formula that will get me close to what I'm actually burning? I do a variety of your tapes.:7

Its a good question to ask aboiut calories burned. The cultural differences between the USA and Europe is that we do not openly express faith publicly. Faith is private to us. I still find it uncomfortable to state to a stranger that "God loves you"

Its nothing personel but just highlighting cultural differences.

Kentuckygirl - I use a heartrate monitor to track my calories burned. I have a Polar F6 and it is great! Not sure how familiar you are with heartrate monitors, but you basically wear a band around your chest (or should I say "under") and a watch that you wear on your wrist shows you your heartrate throughout your workout. You program in all of your personal stats and it keeps track of calories burned, heartrate hi's/low's etc... There may be a formula to use, but I'm not sure about that.

GOD LOVES YOU!!!

I also have a heart rate monitor and I love it, it is a MIO or something like that, it is at home right now and I am at work, I think it is MIO. Anyways it has been great and lets me know where I am with my heart rate during an exercise. I have had it since Christmas and I can pretty much judge and gage where my heart rate is now without it, so if anything it helped me learn how to judge my heart rate and get it where I want it.

I have to say that the new workouts burn more calories for me than any other workout, but the Imax2 & 3 come close. But then again after the new workouts Imax 2 & 3 are as hard for me anymore. I was so amazed the last time I did Imax 3 and made it through.

In LIC Cathe says "you are going to be so physically fit, not that you aren't now, but you are going to better places" she wasn't kidding! OMG what a better place I have been taken to and I LOVE IT!!

The heart rate monitior would be a good investment if you are watching your calories intake vs calories burned, it can also help you judge your heart rate while working out and maybe even help push you harder at times. I know when I see a heart rate lower than I want I am jumping a little higher and pushing a little harder, it is a great motivator!

I also, have a Polar F6 heart rate monitor...I absolutely LOVE it! It's awesome. BTW I think it's okay to tell a stranger, God Loves You...if they don't want to recieve it, it's up to them! Just my humble opinion

GOD LOVES EVERYONE! and I live in the USA!!! By the way I just bought a Poloar F6 and I agree they are great for offering a general idea of what you are burning.

I agree with you. God loves every one why cant you tell someone that? If they do not want to accept it they won't. But there are times when we all need to know God is here and loves me.

I agree. I also have the pf6 and it's the best thing I've purchased. It's really helped me track my cal. burned and my max/avg heart rate when doing cathe's vid.:)

Another vote here for the Polar!! I have the f11 and LOVE it! I haven't had it very long but bought it because it was recomended here in the cathe forums. You Gals never steer me wrong!!
I think it is the most accurate way to go and worth the money.
