Hello Kathy,Kate and the rest of the girls!

Just checkin in today with PLB, KPC-abs.

Another one of those days of rushing around. Now it is time to get dinner on and pick up DD at the train station shortly. The days are just flying by and the end of the month is drawing to a close.

Geesh! Has anyone else been able to get out shopping for Christmas? I have been so busy that I haven't even started yet! Now... what to get is another tough question. The kids main gift is their trip to the Caymans coming up in January. (Hard to wrap this one and put it under the tree.)

I am waiting to see what Cathe has in store for us all next month. It will be tough and have loads of cardio in it. (Looking back at her previous workouts for Dec,Jan and Feb this seems to be the mode.) As she put it in her 05 rotation..."jumping, pumping and "thump"-ing (the noise that you hear as each holiday pound falls off)" Love that! }(

Well...onward I rush to the next task for the day.

Heidi - I'd take a trip to the Caymans! All of my C'mas shopping is done, thank goodness! We actually only do presents for the kiddos. Makes it very easy.

I'm excited for a new rotation too. I love this one but I'm anxios for some more cardio.

Not sure if tonight will be a workout or not. I'd like to at least sneak in cardio LIS. We'll see...

Good Morning All!

Hi Kate: We do the same, mostly presents for the kids. My mother-inlaw hates my putting up a Christmas Tree. But the way I look at it my kids come first. They are only young once! (She is a Witness and I am most certainly NOT) ;-) (neither is my husband for that matter... :))

Anyway, good job getting in your workout last night. Does doing your workout later just before bed help you sleep better?

Checking in today with IMAX 2, Ab Hits #4. Wow! What a great cardio workout that IMAX is! }(

Today is the 29th and only 1 more day for this month! Make it a good one for your last workout before the new rotation arrives. :7

Heidi: I am going to do some light cardio..a FIRM workout that I have and then I will be ready to see what Cathe has to offer us..

Heidi - Imax2 is one of my all-time favorites! The reason I work out at night is because I have zero time to do it in the day. DH is gone for work usually by 5:30. I would have to be totally done with my workout by then in case DDs woke up. During the day is out of the question with the girls up and around...and we're self-employed. Our contractors do not want to wait for me to finish workin' my bod! So after DDs go to bed is it for me. Maybe it will change sometime. I would love to do AM workouts.

Kathy- I'll be doing BC * weights tonight with ya! I'm hoping for a cardio-heavy rotation. Did you gals do CircuitCity? I'm thinking of doing that one.

Hi Kate,

I understand completely! When my children were very young there was no time to get in an exercise program. We spent most of our time outdoors and walking or riding bikes. If my husband came home early from work I could sneak in a run with my friend.

I started the Circuit City rotation back in Sept. but ended up switching to the BFL program. At that time I couldn't handle the IMAX'S or Boot Camp but NOW I CAN! This is all due in part to lifting heavy and doing HIIT cardio for the past 8 weeks straight.
Have you done the Drill Max DVD? I am wondering how tough this one is compared to Boot Camp.

I still have to stop and study the foot work on some of the step routines...they are complicated for someone who doesn't dance and basically has two left feet! ;-) So today I was greatly surprised to be able to get through IMAX 2 without getting totally confused.

Kathy: I started out weights with The Firm. I liked quite a few of these and still think they are great workouts. They just don't go as heavy as Cathe. Which one are you doing tonight?

Heidi - Drill Max is a fave, for sure. Glad you're enjoying Imax2. You'll get to totally love it - I promise! I started weights w/ Firm too!

I just finished BC and also it is the first complete Cathe rotation I've done! I feel very accomplished tonight. Tomorrow will be a rest day before December's rot. starts Saturday!!!!

What are we all in for in Cathe's next rotation!? Can't wait to find out tomorrow!

As you know I have been following this rotation to see how you all liked it...I haven't switched my current program yet. I have to wait until Christmas to open my new 4-Day Split DVD. :(
By the sound of how you all did it is well worth the wait.

Today's workout:

GS Chest,Shoulders and Back
Abs-MIS and Stretch...maybe do a yoga stretch this time around.

Rest of the day will be usual run around, work and grocery shopping.

I have been up since 4:45am waiting on DD to get moving! She is still not up...not going up there again...she's on her own. Have to get on with MY day.

Hoping a rotation is posted today so I can plan for tomorrow a little better. Patience is a virtue....possess it if you can...seldom in a woman....NEVER in a man!

YEah for us for completing the rotation!!!!

Today I also treated as a somewhat rest day. I did FIRM's Maximum Calorie Burn & Abs...I didn't work as hard as Cathe works me. But, it was a great workout...


I am hoping to have patience too Kate...I hope we can see the rotation today too. I also like to plan ahead for the next day's workout..

I was reading through this thread. Congrats on completing the rotation. I just completed the intermediate rotation. I'm trying to lose weight and tone up. From your experiences, would it be better for me to do a weight loss rotation or the 4DS rotation for December?

Rita - I can't say I really lost weight on theis rotation, but I could've cleaned up my eating a little better too. What I did notice (and DH did too!) is greater definition all over. My calves are looking great all the way up to shoulders. I really enjoyed this rotation. I AM hoping for a good cardio/weight-loss rotation for December. If Cathe doesn't post a new one I think I'm going to do Circuit City. Good luck w/ whatever you decide!

Thanks Kate! I've been eating clean for this month and got some great results. But there's a long way to go with the weight loss. So I'll wait to see if Cathe posts a rotation and decide from there. I think I might do the weight loss rotation mixed in with workouts from 4DS. That way in January, I'll do 4DS and I'll get the results that you've gotten. Again, congrats on completing it and good luck with next month's rotation.

4-Day Split Check-in

Good morning! Glory! I did it! I faithfully finished Cathe’s November rotation this morning with Boot Camp. This was my first Cathe rotation. Actually, this is the first rotation of any kind that I have completed. I am a bit of a rotation rebel! LOL! Cathe has accomplished what no man or woman before her has succeeded in doing! She created fun and effective weight workouts that I love, and I am hooked on weight training! Many personal trainers have tried to convert me through the years without success. Go, Cathe!

I can do all the Boot Camp drills on the floor now! I had to modify the bunny hops and zig zap drill for my rebounder the first week! I can finally get all 4 weights back to the “finish line” for the suicide runs too. (Of course, I get dizzy when I run that fast. LOL!) I am making progress, and I love what I am seeing! Not only did I have to buy smaller jeans the night before Thanksgiving, but I am continuing to shrink all over and getting stronger every week! Yippee! Never did I dream or imagine I would be using 20-pound weights for incline chest work when 12-pound weights were “heavy” for me 7 weeks ago! I can still remember how hard it was for me to haul heavy weights up the stairs last month when I brought them home from Target! I bought 15-pound weights last year for Body Max 2 and was never able to use them until now!

I logged in yesterday for the first time since the night before Thanksgiving! An 8-day break from Cathe’s place has to be a record for me! This is my check-in for the last 2 weeks:

I am still having fun with the 4-Day Split, but I decided to focus more on cardio and circuit training in December (for damage control in light of all the Christmas celebrations on my social calendar) and return to heavy weight work in January. Cathe’s December rotation looks delightful, so that is my game plan for the rest of the year! I got better results in November with Cathe’s rotation than I did on my own. My goal for December is to maintain my weight as I historically gain 10-20 pounds during the holidays. Eek!

Thank y’all for encouraging me to toss the scale and stick with the heavy weights. Not only am I smaller and stronger, but my body “feels” different too. I can feel muscle under the fat now. Everything is starting to get firmer and tighter. I have faith that I will love what I see when this layer of fat melts away! I have a long way to go and a lot of body fat to burn, but my body is being transformed from the inside out. I am having fun and enjoying every step of the journey. That is what really counts! Glory! I am still amazed that I found weight work I love. I wrote last month that the 4-Day Split would be my breakthrough series. Yes!

Have fun with your workouts in December. Enjoy treats and feast food in moderation. Bless your body with plenty of rest. Get ready to blast off the fat in 2008 with me! I am getting ready for an 18-week group challenge that starts in January. I will share more details about this next month. I am very excited!

Hi Heather, I am really happy for you. I know how hard it is.
Be proud of yourself. You will feel so good to get through the Holidays without gaining any weight back.
I enjoy weight lifting more and more also.
Soon you will have to purchase heavier weights.:eek:
