Hi to everyone!

Just checking in with you all.

Lori: I am having Thanksgiving at my house with the family. I am not sure how many will be here but it should be a nice day anyway.
We too usually go for a walk around the neighborhood 3.5mi or hike in the woods. (Depends on the weather)
I have a few of those yoga programs recorded on tape for future use. They are great for stretching out. I also have Yoga Conditioning for Athletes from Rodney Yee which is good too. I don't think Cathe's stretches are like yoga but good just the same.

Just finished my workout for the day:

Yesterday was pretty busy for me so I don't remember if I got to check in with you all.
Made a Country Style Beef soup to last me for awhile. I make a big pot and freeze up servings for quick grab lunches or dinners.

Lori: we are going to my inlaws for Thanksgiving. So, no cooking for me this year...

Heidi: I do the same thing with soups and chili. I make a huge batch and freeze them in servings for lunch or dinner...

I did HIS & wieghts today too. Swapping for a rest day tomorrow. Tomorrow will be very busy - when is it not though?

Re Txgiving -- I did it at our house last week for 16 people. I love to cook, but we have to go to my dad's this year, so I did it for the rest of my family early.

November 4-Day Split Check-in

I relaxed with Stretch Max yesterday morning and had fun with Lower Intensity Step this morning. I can match Cathe’s weights for all the shoulder work now! Yippee! I am getting stronger.

I was surprised when I saw the New York Times article this morning to say the least. I had no idea that my picture would be published and never dreamed that I would see my picture in the style section of the New York Times. Loving Cathe is a big adventure! LOL! I am so glad I fixed my hair and wore all black that morning. LOL!

I am looking forward to enjoying the Kickbox cardio premix in the morning.

How cool, to be in the New York Times, Heather! You look great! WTG on the shoulder work.

I did HIS last night, all day I wasn't feeling well and though I would take a rest day but by evening I was feeling great and decided to go for it.

Today I plan to do the kickboxing from 4ds once I get the kids off to school. I'm not taking quite as many rest days as Cathe has on the rotation because I'm off to Toronto next week for a business trip. I'm trying to get week 3 workkouts in before I go and then just have some rest days and maybe a couple of runs when I'm away. It's a nice hotel so should have a good treadmills in the gym. Then when I get home I'll just have time for week 4 before the December rotation is posted.

Canadian Thanksgiving is long over but we have a tradition of the whole family meeting at the cottage for the whole weekend. We have lots to eat including a big turkey dinner and do lots of outside stuff and do all the fall maintenance work on closing up the cottage before the snow falls. Kim

Hello Kate, Kathy, Lori, Kim, Heather and all who follow:

Hope you all had a restful nights sleep.:)

I got up as usual this morning at 5am. DD was suppose to catch the early train to Boston for her job. She never got up. We finally decided that I would just drive her in so she would have a little more time to get her act together.

Did my workout while waiting to leave.
SH BI & Tri, abs and stretch.

Grabbing a quick shower and out the door to get her to work by 10am.

I am now home and have laundry washing, dishes are done and have made dinner for tonight which is in the crock pot. I am making the BFL Pot Roast Dinner. Spells yummy right now and its not even done yet. :9 Going to have a snack of orange and cottage cheese to hold me over for a little while before lunch.

What are your plans for today?

I hope you enjoy your workout with KB Kate and Kathy! It just sound like so much fun. I am looking forward to the end of December so I can start the new series.:7

Wow, Heidi..You have had a busy day already...I went out this morning a did a little Christmas shopping at Barnes & Noble. My daughter is a big reader.

Checking in today with LIS/shoulders, calves & core....Now, I am off to do laundry and vacuum and all that kinda of stuff!!

November 4-Day Split Check-in

I had a fun Friday workout. I enjoyed the Kickbox cardio premix. I believe this is the “best of” Cathe kickboxing. I see elements of her other kickboxing workouts in this one. Kickbox is also the first kickboxing workout that gives me a great workout without weighted gloves. I have not even attempted adding weighted gloves to this one. After I complete Cathe’s November rotation, I may combine the cardio premix with the Kick, Punch, & Crunch cardio conditioning premix for a longer cardio option.

I faithfully finished the second week of Cathe’s November rotation this morning with Boot Camp. I have decided that I need a less intense Saturday morning workout. I am tired by the end of the week and have cleaning and errands to do too, so I do not want a workout that wipes me out. Not to mention, I usually stay up late every Friday night. I was dragging my wagon this morning. I gave my all to the cardio and had to push myself to finish the weight work. It was a struggle this morning. I am amazed when I read reviews that this series is too intermediate for some people. The cardio is not as intense as IMAX3, but the weight work is heavy for me! These were my workouts this week:

11-11-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Higher Intensity Step
11-12-07 rest
11-13-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Kickbox
11-14-07 a.m. Stretch Max
11-15-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Lower Intensity Step
11-16-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Kickbox (cardio premix)
11-17-07 a.m. 4-Day Split Boot Camp

I shared the New York Times article with my hairstylist this morning. She got a kick out of it. I took a long nap after my hair appointment and cleaned for an hour. I did my holiday grocery shopping tonight. I need to plan menus for the other days and do my regular grocery shopping tomorrow. Thankfully, tomorrow is a rest day.

Hey Kate: I skipped one of the off days because I will be out of town Thanksgiving with no workouts for 3 days. So, I didn't want to take so many off days now. I skipped the off at the beginning of week 3.

Heather: Great job with your workouts. Good luck with planning those menus..

Today's workout will be bootcamp/bis & tris...

Sounds like everyone is having fun but busy weekends! Are most people taking some days off around Thanksgiving?

I was going to swim yesterday for some extra cardio but have a bit of a cold and just didn't feel too good so just watched dd swim. I did get in a good one hour power walk later in the day while helping ds do his paper route.

I'm feeling much better today and will plan and do LIS this afternoon. Hope everyone has a good day! Kim

Heather - I love the new series too! I don't think it's intermediate. Like Cathe says, "you get out of it what you put into it!"

Kim, I'll join ya w/ LIS tonight. I'm not taking any days off for TxGiving. Will stick to the rotation, maybe even add a cardio.

Today is paperwork day for me. Might get in an easy cardio workout later tonight.

Kim: I too am not taking a break this coming week for the holiday. I will be sticking to my workout schedule as close as possible. I have that trip coming up in January and want to keep toned up for it. If I start slacking off now it could continue on through Christmas! Can't have that! ;-)

Your all doing great keeping up with this new series and rotation for this month.

If you are cooking for Thanksgiving you might want to have special sides that are lower in calorie for you. This is my plan!;-) So far I have tried out several recipes on the family and they loved them all and didn't even notice the difference. Sneaky huh!?

I hope you all have a great holiday and keep up the great work you have been doing thus far. :7

Just finished LIS & Weights. That shoulder work is awesome. I have seen such great results w/ this series. Thinking about doing this rotation again in December. I'll see what Cathe posts for the Dec. rotation. This is the first time I've ever followed a Cathe-made rotation. Can't argue w/ the results! Glad I finally did one.

Hello and Good Morning,

Hope everyone got in a good nights rest!

I did get in my cardio around 4pm yesterday. Ended up doing LIS. Then went for a 3.5mi walk with my DD. She is gearing up for another round of exhausting studying and tests. Hopefully by Weds. she will be able to relax a little over the Thanksgiving break.

What is on your plate today?

Maybe some sort of easy step workout or run. Depends on how my legs feel after the workout. }(

Pick up DS and DD this afternoon.

Hey Heidi, our family is doing a Disney cruise next year and one of the stops is the Cayman Islands. Any suggestions on how to spend the day. Our kids will be 8 and 11 by the time we go.

I ended up at home today as ds has the stomach flu usually dh stays home when kids are sick as his job is very flexible. But I'm feeling very quilty as it is as I'm leaving tomorrow for a 5 day business trip. DD(7) is very upset with me for going and DH has to do all the swim lessons, hockey practices, parent teacher interviews etc by himself this week. I was worried that dd might get sick next and then DH would end up being off work most of the week.

DS is feeling better this morning was really sick all day yesterday. We played a couple of board games this morning and then he read a book on the couch while I did 4ds boot camp.

My flight is tomorrow afternoon and I had booked the morning off already so I could have lunch with the kiddos before I leave so maybe will get one more workout out in while kids are in school tomorrow morning. I'm thinking a outside run to enjoy the fresh air before getting on the plane and sitting in meetings for 5 days.

Kim: A disney cruise sounds wonderful!! Hope your son is better and your daughter doesn't end up with it..I know that would worry you while you were gone..Have a safe trip and good for you getting those workouts in...

Checking in today with Maximum Intensity Cardio. Boy, did Cathe kick my butt in that one. I had to go down to a 6" step halfway through the step portion. But, I feel great now that I have accomplished it...
