November 4 day split rotation check-in...

Kathy36

Cathlete
Hi everyone!! I am hoping that some of the very supportive fellow rotation checkin buddies will be doing the November rotation. Anyone want to check-in with me again this month? I am starting Cathe's November rotation tomorrow...Who's with me?

I'll join ya! Looking forward to it!

When are you starting? Tonight to get an early start? Tomorrow since it's Nov 1? Monday, like Cathe's post suggests?

Hi All

Can I join? I've injured my knee so I'll be modifying the step portions on the floor. But I have the okay from my chirpractor and so far its been an okay alternative.

Day one tomorrow.

Good Luck everyone.

Laura

:)

I think I'll start tomorrow too. No time like the present! I don't ever get to do my workouts til my DDs (2 of 'em) go to bed, but I will start tomorrow!

looking forward to some great new gains! (muscle, not fat!:7 )

Hi all just checking in with HIS/ChestBack...I still have to get some of those moves down. I am actually thinking of getting heavier DB. I really didn't think I would want anything heavier than 20# but I think I can go heavier.

Question did anyone notice on the incline double arm pull over that Cathe's head is lifted off the step? Should we do that? The rest of the crew had their heads on the step. What is the proper form on that move?

Have a great day.

Lori

Hi i would like to join the Nov rotation but I will start on Day2...and make up day 1 some where.

Is everyone starting Week One Thursday LIS, Shoulders Calves or will week one rotation start next week Monday?

Hi Lori,

Just checking in on checking in....
I usually check-in on BFL forum.

The proper alignment would be head down on the step like the rest of the crew. You will strain your neck muscles otherwise. Cathe probably had her head up because she was talking and looking at the camera. In general not a good thing. I seem to recall her pointing this out on S&H or GS.

Love, Love all Cathe's rotations! I won't be really starting this one until after Christmas. I am working on a rotation similar to this using S&H,GS and pyramids. This will be a great change when the time comes for the next 12 week challenge.

Good luck to you all with this rotation. I might pop in now and then to see how you are all doing. If that is ok?:)

Hi everyone!! I started the rotation today...

Checking in with HIS done...

Heidi: thanks for stopping in..Check in with us anytime. Thanks for the form alignment answer. It would strain those neck muscles for sure. I remember Cathe saying it in those other workouts too...

Glad to see so many joining in for some great motivation. I am also trying to eat clean. I am vowing to stay out of the kids candy...With only a small treat now and then to stay sane!!:)

Have a great day ladies!!

Hi to everyone doing this rotation:

Lori and Kathy: Thanks for inviting me to check-in with you all. :)

I like these check-in forums for getting to know more people, help each other out and get some awesome motivation!

Kathy: I am with you on that eat-clean plan. I am just having lunch with my DS before his doc appt. Creamy pumpkin soup and a turkey sand. (The soup is from a recipe I made the other night from the Tosca Reno cookbook.) Yummy!:9
How did you do with the HIS step work?

My workout for today was BM2 Timesaver Cardio. Tacked on abs from MM. I still haven't got the foot work down on some of the moves from BM2 so I had to keep rewinding. I guess the next time I do this one I will start from the original program. This is of course a 97min workout. Boy will I be sweating this out!
I previewed the HIS workout and thought...OMG how am I ever going to be able to do this one! }(
Please tell me that it isn't as hard as it looks....;-)

Take Care,
BBL

I just have a second, but wanted to say I just finished today's workout. I usually have to workout at night but I got to sneak one in this afternoon. DDs are being extra sweet today somehow!

Lori - Go for the 25s!!! You can do it!! In fact, for the db. arm pullovers, the 15 seems incredibly easy. I didn't feel sore a bit. Will definetly bump this weight up next time.

Heidi: I am still learning that footwork. I like the challenge though..So, I am up for it.

Lori: I am going to use 20s next time on that pullover. The 15s seemed a little easy. But, after everything else we were doing that was ok to go easy..HAHA

Kate: Glad your kids gave you a break today and you got your workout in. I like getting mine done earlier too..

How does everyone like the new 4 Day Dplit workouts? Today was the first time doing the whole workout and I really enjoy the rounds Cathe did. It was much better than doing all chest and then all back. I liked breaking it up a bit..What do you all think?

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to read through the whole thread as it's bedtime and it's been a super long day. I'll catch up over the weekend.

I just got my dvds in the mail Tuesday so haven't had a chance to try them out till tonight. I did HIS/chest and back and loved it!! Love that the weights are heavy/low rep and the cardio was so much fun and not totally exhausting like some of the more challenging dvds.

The picture and sound are so clear on these dvds. I'm so excited to try the kickboxing one tomorrow!

Glad to see so many people posting on this checkin

Kim

Just checking in to say I can't wait to do Kickbox today! I'm hoping to do it in the afternoon instead of after DDs go to bed tonight. We'll see....

Have a great day...and don't forget to eat clean to keep your bod in tip-top shape to see those awesome results!

Hi All

Sorry I'm a day late. I started the rotation today after all. Did the HIS Chest and Back.

I've hurt my knee so I did the Cardio on the floor without the step. I really enjoyed it. Combo three of the cardio was a bit awkward but I'm sure I'll pick it up. I repeated the first combo twice as I loved it. I did the Weights first Premix and I used the Bosu as an incline.

I really enjoy those one arm rows where you turn you arm and raise the dumbell at an angle. I could really feel them.

I used my HRM and burned 389 cals which isn't my usual but its better than nothing.

I'm changing the workout tomorrow for the yoga stretch day as I've got to go to the hospital tomorrow with DH for a check up. He's having problems with his throat and we've got to get it checked out. I'll do a stretch max on the ball segment as I'm trying to make my lower back more limber.

I'm trying to eat clean. Todays been :

Meal 1: oatmeal, 6 egg whites.
Meal 2: Low fat natural yoghurt and grapes.
Meal 3: Beef and vegetable stew (caserole). This is my husbands speciality and its devine.
Meal 4: Whey Protein Shake. Banana.
Meal 5; Salad and salmon.

I've got a passion for skimmed milk just drink too much of it. Must increase my water intake. Take care everyone and good luck with the workouts.
Laura

Ah-ha! Here you are Kathy!:) Great, I will join in for this month as well. Although, I have sworn off heavy weights (whatever) and have been concentrating my efforts on the Slim Series (so boring I want to cry just thinking of it), I will do this rotation because there are days you can fit in circuit/pilates type training as well.

So yesterday I did MIC in the am and the Chest/Back portion of HIS on the new series, followed by Ab RipperX. Yes, I had alot of energy yesterday!;) I did not use the 62 pounds for back, I have trouble with my lower back sometimes and modify the barbell row to a 45 degree angle. I did use 45 pounds on that. I used the 30 pounds for chest presses though, geez that was heavy.

So today is Kickbox/Legs/Core right? I will not be able to use weights for my lower body, or really light ones-I had hip surgery 3 months ago-doctors orders. :)
