Not Guilty Verdict.

I have to say not really surprised Marla...but I did think they might convict on one of the counts...:)....Carole

I am so shocked he was found not guilty of all 10 counts. I expected a Guilty on one or two. WOW.
Brandi:eek:

Holy cow. I guess I'm not surprised either, but that is just sad.

I cannot believe this, but I kind of suspected this would happen.Even though I loved his music when I was young, I think it is bull crap of how the verdict went. That's all I have to say.

First O.J., now Michael. DO people not want to convict celebrities?

I wonder how much the thought of Michael in jail (which I don't think he'd survive) kept people from voting guilty?
I think any guilty verdict should have been accompanied by emprisonment in a facilty that would provide counseling and psychological treatment. He's certainly in need of that.

I just heard that too. I'm pretty surprised, but I guess they're saying the witnesses weren't very credible and MJ had some really good attorneys.

I just wonder how many parents will continue to allow their children to be his "friend". I bet more than we would like to think which is even more sad than the verdict.

Ever since the OJ verdict, I have become very cynical. It's amazing what money can buy you in this country. Ask Robert Blake. Michael Jackson is a freak. A grown man who needs little boys for friends and lets them sleep in his bed is one sick puppy. I do agree that some of the witnesses against him were not credible. I never expected him to be found guilty no matter what the evidence though because the priorities of many in this country are very screwed up. Money and celebrity rule. Do you honestly think that some unknown person from wherever with an court-appointed lawyer would ever beat these charges? No way.

The LA Times reported that Jackson would have been sent to the Corcoran facilty in central California. They have a special unit which is quite secure. Charles Manson, Sirhan Sirhan & other high exposure prisoners are serving time there away from the "general population."

I'm not shocked by the verdict since there were so many sleazy characters on both sides, but I am more than a bit disgusted. And I'm on call for jury duty this week.

I was also surprised that he was found innocent of all the charges, especially supplying liquor to a minor. It is so sad. I know we keep hearing how our justice system works, but I'm really not so sure. It seems to be all about the $$$$.

I feel so badly for the boy!!! He's had to live through cancer, and whatever went on at Neverland, and now he'll have to live through this. That's where my prayers are going to go. Only God has the answers to the things that we cannot understand. And I know there are many things nowadays that I just do not understand.:(

I wasn't convinced that he did anything really wrong. And the law says you can only convict if you're convinced beyond a reasonable doubt. I think that it's very possible that he is a guy who is too trusting and has been taken advantage of. Sorry...but I just don't see him as a pedophile.

Donna,
I agree. I think he was taken advantage of, but I think he should never have put himself in that position to begin with. I hope he doesn't do it again.
Brandi:)

UGHHHH disgusting... and can you imagine a parent letting your kid spend the night. HELLO? Sorry when it comes to being a parent it's not innocent until proven guilty -

Only those who were there and the guy upstairs really know what happened, but I can't believe that a 'man' who admittedly likes to 'sleep' with little boys is all that innocent. Even if nothing happens, there is something wrong with his urge control... If you had been accused in the past of sexual assault (or whatever you want to call it) wouldn't you be more careful in the future, even if your urges were pure? If you REALLY cared about the children, why would you put them in a position where there would be any doubt as to your motives?

I'm not surprised at the verdict, but I told DH if I'm ever accused of a serious crime, he has to get the venue moved to CA! :)
