And I have no intention of having a no TV week like RunnerGirl--television is a single woman's best friend!

Besides, how can I work out at home?

Just slightly humorous b/c it's only half dead. I had a rough mtg last night, got home at 10:30 & there was no way I'd have been able to read b/c my head was spinning. Sadly though, the top half of the screen was blank. So while my head was spinning I was "watching" headless people on TV.

I was so relieved when South Park came on & I could see their faces! :+

This happened to me two weeks ago. The kids turned the tv on and said it was broke and when I looked at it, it was the same way as yours. The whole top half of the tv was black. I was so mad. So we had to get a new tv. Good luck finding a new one!

LOL at the South Park comment! So sorry about the TV though! Imagine trying to follow along with Headless Cathe and gang! :( Hope you can get a new one soon!

I'm dreading when this happens to us! I've already decided that I will get an LCD TV next time, but I don't want to shell out the dough.

Have fun shopping!

Laura - your post cracked me up! I used to have a TV that would work fine for a while and eventually the picture would fade out and I was only able to hear the audio. x(

Can't you just use your computer to play the Cathe DVD's until you have a chance to replace the TV.

And, I guess from what I have read lately, you can watch "youtube" in place of TV? :+

Laura,
I would give you my 2nd tv if you lived closer but I think we live further apart than the drive is worth.

Hope the situation gets resolved.

Well here's a funny story - we have a tv in the bedroom that I only use in the morning when I'm getting ready for work so that I can get caught up on all of the world news (my master bath is right off the bedroom). It's one of those small, flatscreen thingies you hang on the wall and DH was doing something to it after we'd only had it a year and a half and he dropped it and the picture is dead (yup, he was really angry at himself). It had been broken for about 2 months but I mostly just listen to it anyway. So for 2 months I had been using it for sound only. But one day the gal on the news says, "You've gotta see this" and it was something I really wanted to see, so I run in there to see it AS IF I DON'T KNOW THE TV IS BROKEN AND THE PICTURE DOESN'T WORK! Boy did I feel dumb. And I was really bummed b/c I really wanted to see that picture!
