I'm totally with you on this one. I've been struggling with sugar for over a year now and I've been out of control lately. I have found that I cannot have a "small amount" of chocolate, and it truly is like an alcoholic can't have a "small amount" of alcohol. I truly think I have an addiction.
I know a woman that works in an office down the hall from me that is a third of her former body size. I finally asked her what her "secret" was and she said she was a food addict so now she has no flour (of any kind - even wheat) and no sugar. She lost the weight pretty fast too - but she said she was the same way I am; can't eat a bit of sugar - she eats it all.
She also said that once she eliminated sugar from her diet, she swears her IQ level went up 20 points. I'm sure everyone knows that "fuzzy mind" feeling you get when you OD on sugar....
I will try to join you, only if I can confess first that up until today, I've done horribly.
