Welcome to our group of CRAZIES!!!!!

I see LOTS of strength training, but only one cardio? Do you do running or have other videos at home??? Personally I really DON'T like cardio, but it's a necessary evil!!

Hi Violet,

Welcome to the forum. I found Cathe's videos a few months ago and I just love them. I do Taebo also. I have so many Billy Blanks DVD's. My favorites are the ones with the Billy Bands because those things are killer. I rotate my Cathe with Billy. One day of Cathe with weights, next day Cathe cardio, and then the next day Taebo and then a rest day. I hope you still incorporate Taebo. You'll love mixing up the different styles. Enjoy!

hi violet welcome to the boards

i have some tae-bo myself but i don't use it as much as cathe and my buns of steel collection. its pretty good but the ones i have the cueing and counting is a little off. i am sure after years of filming he fixed that little problem. i was looking at the orginial boot camp series(not the new ones with billy bands) and found that might work for me. lots of boot camp style calthetics(sp?)

i know you will love the intensity series workouts.you might consider IMAX2. the choreography is a little tricky, might take a few tries, but its an awesome interval workout.a real fat burner. and KPC is an awesome kickbox workout. slow and heavy is something i do on my own but learned alot about the movements from cathe but my vcr ate those workouts :-(.

and since you are getting married why not pick up cathe wedding video. its been a hot topic on the boards since she started her vhs sale.

Hi Violet and welcome!

It looks like you got some great videos. You will have a blast. Some of them take a while to learn the steps, but once you do, you will have so much fun!

I look forward to getting to know you better!

hi,
thank you all for welcoming me. I can't wait for the tapes to arrive. Since i have Taebo which i love, i thought to complement taebo, I needed some weight training videos. I do other cardio, i have videos from cindy crowford, kathy smith, susan powter, denise austin and others. I have about 40 exercise videos. I also love walking, i wish i could run but it is difficult for me. I used to walk 10 miles on sundays. As i mentioned my goal is to loose 20 pounds and tone up bit. I borrowed Coremax and step max from my local library, the stability ball exercises are a killer. How do you get your butt that high? I think i will get coremax and the bootcamp next. I love step aerobics with very little combinations. i felt a little lost with step max. My fiancee is making a wood step for me.

A little bit about me, I love to exerise, I get up betweem 5:00 and 5:30 am to exerise six days a week, but i also love food which is the reason why i have 20 pounds that have to go. I am vegeterian who eats fish, but no eggs or milk product. if i didn't eat fish i would be a vegan.
thank you

Violet

Hi Violet,

Welcome! I agree with what everyone else has said. You've ordered some good work outs. I agree with easing into the work outs. I went gung ho when I first found Cathe and I had a hip flexor strain or whatever it was.

Yes, get Bootcamp and Core Max. Heck, you'll probably end up getting them all! ;-) Bootcamp was my first purchase. You won't be disappointed.

Enjoy your new work outs!
