New to Cathe - long time Firm user - help me

After a lot of years as a casual Firm user I really put the focus on working out and food in April '04. Went hard on my Firm tapes (and I agree on the disappointment since GT took over) but I just discovered Cathe. I am amazed at how awesome she is! I was lucky enough to receive the Intensity series for Christmas and can't stop doing these incredible workouts! Here's where I need help. I've dropped 30 pounds since last April and have that last stubborn 10 to go. I really think that stepping it up a notch with Cathe will help, but I'm interested in some input. If I want a few more Cathe workouts would I be well served by going for the body blast series or waiting and looking to the hardcore series? (I can't afford both) I also only have VHS tape availability in my exercise area, so that may make the input easier. I'd appreciate any thoughts.

I'm new to Cathe myself and worked out with the Firm for about 1 1/2 years before discovering Cathe...I'll leave this one up to the "pros"!;)

Just wanted to welcome you to the forum.

First of all Welcome to the Cathe forum! If you want some great workouts from Body Blast to kick your self up up a notch I recommend Kick Punch & Crunch , Legs & Glutes, and Step Blast. I would probably skip the Push pull and Super Sets. I also highly recommend the CTX series. CTX can be mixed and matched in countless ways.

If you can manage to save for a DVD playerin your workut area you will be opened up to a whole new world of premixes which will really challenge your body and shake up your metabolism. Good luck!

Hi, if you only have Video tape capability you won't be able to get Hardcore as it is only available in DVD format. However, DVDs are cheap now a days and you will have so many more options if you go for a DVD instead of a VHS. VHS wise, I would recommend Boot Camp, KPC, MIC and Step Blast for aerobics and the pyramid or Slow and Heavy Series and Muscle Endurance for strength.

If I were you, I'd wait until you start getting feedback on the Hardcore series before making any more purchases. Also, the Intensity Series has so much variety that it should keep you busy and well challenged until it comes out. We are hoping to have them in our hands by the end of the month. The only reason I suggest that is because I am seeing the Body Blast workouts are rated easier than the Intensity Series. I am thinking (and hoping) that the Hardcore Series is going to be tougher.}(

Welcome to Cathe!! You wont be disappointed in your decision no matter which way you go, because Cathe puts you to the test in every workout, which means results from any workout of her's that you do!

I used to do the Firm, work out with that for 3 1/2 years until I found Cathe on Fit TV, once I found her I made the switch and haven't looked back since. I did notice however how incredably the Frim is incorrect in so many ways.

I have the series you recieved for Christmas and love it. It was my first purchase along with Rhythmic Step, after a few months I wanted more tapes so I could have a varity to chose from. I purchased the Body Blast Series this Christmas even though she has new tapes coming out. I love the Body Blast series and I am not disappointed in not purchasing the newest. I figured that I could get that round of workouts later down the road if and when I need a change from the Body Blast. But since you can make over 70 workouts with those 6 DVD's I figure I will never get bord! I am sure you can do that same thing with her new ones too. But I wanted something NOW without waiting.

Everytime I get a new DVD from Cathe I can't get away from the UPS driver fast enough to watch the workouts before preforming them.

You will not be disappointed in your decision, but the Body Blast serise is a little on the cheaper side if you are looking at money issues.

Good Luck!! And WELCOME TO CATHE!!!!

Hi I'm new to cathe ,have yet to try out her workouts. Have her "Hardcore"ordered. Can't wait. Anyhow I noticed if you scroll down far enough ,where you order ,shes got a list of discounts . I dont remember exactly her deals but check it out . :) :)

Great suggestion - thanks. I love the intensity series and can't say that it's too hard. So I think you're right - if body blast is not quite to that level of difficulty maybe a wait for hardcore is the way to go. Thanks to all for the great input! :)

Hi, I just had to say that
i'm aformer firmie,[ from the classics on] and I just discovered Cathe recently, I absolutely love all the ones
i've purchased so far,I really feel challenged again . I also have started losing inches all over my body and couldn't be more pleased !!!! Legs & Glutes of the Body Blast series is rated harder than Pyramid Lower Body of Intensity...and I can attest to that. L&G knocks me out...I can at least get through PLB. Step Blast of Body Blast Series is the hardest ranked cardio workout...and it really is a doozy! I just love it! You want to sweat off some pounds? SB is the way to go. Kick, Punch, & Crunch is also in the Body Blast Series, and it ranks as harder than Step Blast. So, I think those three purchases from the Body Blast series would be excellent choices if you are looking to take your workouts to the next level and burn off those last 10 pounds.
