I'm new to Cathe's video workouts and don't have a clue where to start???? She has so many videos until I just don't know which ones to purchase / start with. I've read many reviews and even viewed some of her videos clips. I'm very excited about working out with Cathe but just don't know where to start. Any suggestions, recommendations, comments, someone please help...

welcome to the forums and to Cathe. You won't be disappointed.

I suggest you go to Cathe's beginner's rotation. She suggests videos to use that are toward those who are new to Cathe and teaches many of the moves she uses in her more advanced step tapes.

A link to this rotation is here: http://www.thecathenation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=236223

Again, welcome to the forum and to Cathe! :)

Hi! Depending on what your goals are, I would choose different dvd's. Are you more into cardio or weights? Are you already an advanced exerciser, or just a beginner?

I would probably lean towards something like Cross Train Express or 4 Day Split, since they both have a little bit of everything, and should get you started off right. Anything you get from Cathe you're gonna love, and you'll probably want to get everything she has, eventually!:p

Welcome to the forums, and have fun with whatever you choose!

i started with the intensity series because it had a little bit of everything. it has a cardio and weights circuit, bootcamp, split weight pyramid (pyramid upper and pyramid lower), full body endurance weight (muscle endurance) and IMAX2 (step cardio). i found this series a great introduction to cathe. i was exercising a bit before this purchase, if your totally new to exercising i'd follow the link mentioned upthread for beginners. i don't think you can really go wrong, i've been happy with every purchase from cathe. good luck. :)

If you are brand new to weight training, I have to recommend Cathe's Slow & Heavy series...the form pointers she gives are spot on...it's hard to believe that this series is almost 10 years old!!! It is great!!!!! Heck, even if you've lifted before, this is still worth it. If I had to choose one Cathe weight training series, and one Cathe cardio series...it'd be Slow/Heavy for weights, and Kick, Punch, and Crunch for cardio.

I know Cathe originally made a name for herself with step, but the only time I can use a step for Cathe's workouts is when I use it as a weight bench!!

Enjoy!!

Wecome! You will love it here!

I started with what I loved - step workouts and what I needed - ab workouts. I also threw in a good circuit dvd to get a little bit of weights in to start with since I hadn't done any training in a while.

My first dvds were Cardio Fusion, Ab Hits and Body Blast: Step, Jump & Pump. I hunted around and watched clips and went back and forth for hours before I decided on these 3 to start with. I never regretted my decision! I have, however, become an addict and wish I could buy them all right now!

As it stands, I'm only up to 6 dvds, so far!
