New Round STS to kickoff 2011 ? Who's in ?

So what did you think of the first Mesocycle? What are you doing during your active recovery week? did you do all the 1 RM testing?

I have found Meso 1 to be pretty tough, but I have never been able to stick with a rotation for more than three weeks.:eek:


I did the majority of the 1 RM tests, but made a big mistake in the beginning and only did 10 reps instead of as many as possible.:eek: I was so frustrated that I started over, then decided only to do those with 3 or more stars. Felt like it took me forever, but I'm so glad I did. Occasionally when I've come across an exercise for which the weight was not stated I've found that the one I've chosen was too light so I had to start over.

For my recovery week I was hoping to do some of Cathe's cardio DVDs along with stretching and abs. But after reading another post on this topic I'm not sure if that's too much, or if I should be doing light cardio?

This will be very cool. Should we start a new thread in the check in section tomorrow, say? Do we name our group? LOL. I am so excited to start STS. I have to go back to work on Monday and I don't even care because I am starting this program.

I'll join in on a new STS round! I need some structure in my life. I'm all over the place with my workouts lately.
Let me know where to check-in. :)
My son is installing a new 42" Plasma TV with bluray player in my workout room this weekend. I'm so excited!!!:D
 
This thread inspired me to try to finish the STS/Shock Cardio rotation I started last April. I got sidetracked because of an oral surgery followed by vision correction surgery. I started this morning with Disc 1 :D I was not smiling like that when I was doing all the push-ups though! Hopefully I'll be able to finish this time around, I'm sure this thread will help. Have a happy (and safe) New Years!
 
Okay, so I am thinking, being that tomorrow officially starts off week one for most of us, I'll start a new thread in the check in forum. We can do it weekly. I am thinking we'll just call it, 2011 New Year's STS Challengers. Whether you are doing the 6 month or 3 month rotation doesn't matter. whether you are a little ahead or behind doesn't matter either. I think it will be great to have a group to discuss our progress as we take on this challenge. I am hoping it will keep me focused on sticking to the rotation because although I workout 6 days a week, I have enver really followed a rotation per se. Does this sound good to everyone? does anyone have a better title for the group or anything? Okay, I need more coffee now, lol.

I start round 4 on 01/03. Going to try the undulating rotation this time, see what happens. And this is the year my eating gets a good tweaking. I was doing good the beginning of last year, but sometime in late summer/early fall it got out of whack. Got to get it back together.

Kristin, I think the check-in title is perfect!
I just finished cardio coach Press Play workout. That workout always puts my mind, body, soul in the most powerful place. Bring on STS! :D
I think I'm going to follow the disc's in order but will add one barre workout each week.

This week coming up is my first active recovery week and I'm still undecided on what I'm doing.:confused: Definitely looking forward to a break from the weights though.:D
