*NEW* Intensity Series or CTX?!

Ah, I don't know what to buy! Please help!!

I was planning on the new Intensity Series, but recently I've been hearing SO many good things about CTX that I'm wondering if I should go with THAT series instead?

What would you recommend for someone like me who DOES NOT already own CTX? Would you argue that a person who doesn't own CTX should get IT before the new Intensity Series?

And with regards to the Intensity Series, is the ENTIRE series good or is there one title, or even MORE than one, in it that MANY of you feel you could do without?

Feeling confused and would appreciate ANY feedback.

Thanks in advance!!

Another question...

Which would you say is the MORE difficult of the two series? New Intensity Series or CTX?

I'm looking for the ULTIMATE Cathe challenge!!:7

Intensities without a doubt

Hi Alison,

My own 2 cents, I'd go for the IS with no second thought. CTX is a wonderful series as well....but, bang for the buck, IS will give you more options.

CTX is designed, more or less, as one rotation. Sure you could vary it and mix and match...get a ton out of it, but you are only getting one full body rotation in the end. Great variety with cardio, but once again, it's 6(?) 1/2hour (+/-) cardios.

Now with IS, you get the two days of pyramid lifting with UB/LB, a full body with Muscle Endurance, strength portions in Boot Camp as well as Cardio and Weights. That's just strength;-) , As far as cardio...wow, great combo ability (if DVD is an option), but you have the cardio from Cardio and Weights...good stamina cardio in Boot Camp, IMAX2...say no more:) . Then there's all the core stabilization in this series..awesome. It's just a wonderful well rounded assortment of Cathe stuff. Very complete, IMHO.

As far as difficult, I'm of the schooling, you get out of it what you put into it...both are challenging, just in different ways. There are parts of CTX that are right in your face tough because of the shorter format...but the IS series is rather sneaky...a lot more focus on longer stamina stuff. Heck, if it's Cathe..it's tough.

RE: Intensities without a doubt

I'd recommend getting the CTX series first! This is a total body conditioning program that does it all for you! Not only will you see a decrease in bodyfat but you will gain lean muscle tissue! The combination of the intense cardio and the 1 day bodypart will prevent overtraining while building up your strength and endurance with proper techniques! You will notice that when moving on to another rotation after CTX your gains will surprise you! Cathe out did herself on this! The intensity series is just that INTENSE when used back to back for a certain length of time!Very demanding on your body and agility skills! There are alot more athletic moves and you can see how powerful Cathe is in that area! She's an athlete and it shows! There are less intense tapes in the series but that was planned to help recoup muscles from the previous workload! They all have there place in the series or you can branch out on your own and use whichever ones you want in a rotation to make the series last longer or just shock what you are already doing! I wrote some rotations in the new forum using one intensity series in every rotation, check it out! So whatever your current needs are go for it!I'd recommend getting the Intensity Series after CTX(JMHO)Especially if you never done a program that was already designed! This is a masterpiece! It is all layed out for you;) HTH

RE: Intensities without a doubt

They are both so great!!

Definitely try to get both eventually, if you can. If you do decide to get the CTX series, and just want to start off with one of the IS workouts, Cardio and Weights is awesome!! If you are getting the DVD, then you'll get IMAX2 also which is wonderful!!!

If I were you, I'd get CTX series and the Cardio & Weights/IMAX2 DVD, then save up for the rest.
