new equipment suggestions

Hello Cathe and or staff. I'm not quite sure who answers these posts and I've seen Cathe respond sometimes. I probably should be posting this in new video suggestions but it really isn't a workout suggestion more of an equipment suggestion. I would love to see a weighted stability ball. I have a Bosu weighted stability ball but I don't like the way the weight is added. It has little foam pellets inside that sorta move all over the place which make it difficult to keep the weight distributed evenly. I think it would be nice to have a ball that was a few pounds heavier, by not much but still functions as a stability ball, maybe by thickening the material of the ball so that the weight is evenly distributed? I would also love to see a 50lb barbell version of the adjustable bowflex dubmbells. I also love the idea of the paper plates made of plastic but lined on the top with a sort of grip foam material that helps the foot or hand grip onto the plate, kind of like a the foamy material of a yoga mat. Just some silly thoughts I thought I'd throw out there. :)

Always appreciate suggestions. Really like the idea about the barbell, but patents would probably prevent it from becoming a reality. We do have a stability ball in the works (1st quarter 2009) that will allow you to add weight to the ball. The weight will settle to the lowest part of the ball, so is not exactly what you want, but you can add as much weight as you like..

Great ideas! I love the barbell idea. Along the same lines as the weighted stability ball, I was thinking it would be nice to have an adjustable weight medicine ball. I'm envisioning maybe a 5 lb. base ball that you add outer skins to it to add weight. That way you only need one ball and some "skins" to save space and economize on how many balls you need to buy.

Tess - on my JumpSnap handles, you screw off the end and insert these weighted bars to add weight to the handles. I could see a medicine ball that has the same option - some kind of a chamber that has slots for adding weighted bars.... hmmm....
