You need to give us a date when the new dvds are going to ship. I preorded them in October. It's been a really long time. How about throwing in an extra video for all the waiting?
 
I think SNM has been completely upfront about the fact that DVDs take longer to produce than VHS tapes. The dvd production goes through much more manipulation and the processing time is out of their hands. We are all anxious to receive the new dvds,and the frequent "status posts" by SNM have helped keep us motivated for the new workouts! Hang in there, but please remember that the length of time is 1) not unusual and 2) Not any fault of SNM.

I preorderd mine on September 16th...(hours after the pre-ordering opened) still waiting just like you. It is ok, though, because those DVDs are the really good professional stuff. I made the choice to wait patiently - I just check here everyday and forget about it. It will be soon...just don't think about it. On the other hand, I have been waiting on my Powerstrike III DVD since Nov 4. They have not posted any updates and keep ignoring my emails. Now, THAT is frustrating. Just wish they would be like SNM by giving us all the updates SNM has.

I just sent an e-mail off to SNM asking if maybe they would honor the pre-sale price on VHS series for those of us who are waiting on the DVD format? I just purchased the VHS set because I am insane:) and couldn't wait. I have been hoping on receiving these since x-mas:)

I think it would be a wonderful gesture if they could offer the pre-sale VHS price to those of us who purchased the DVD and also want to purchase the VHS while waiting. If I would have known it would be this long I would have ordered the VHS set during the pre-sale and saved some money:)

I know it is by no means SNMs fault and they are doing all they can to get them out. Plus we get a lot of extras on the DVDs. However, they were targeting before xmas when the original posting for pre-sale purchase went up.

Simply stating.... as a Cathe addict I am both impatient but very understanding of Cathe and her dedicated crew:)

SNM has been keeping us posted.

Remember, these DVD's will be worth the wait! I am convinced of that... and isn't it fun to have something to look forward to??? :)
 
I also preordered right after presale began, though I have no problem with the wait. SNM has been up front all the way, and have shown nothing less than the highest professional standards to us. They never promised the DVD's by a specific date, and we all knew from the outset (or could easily have found out) that DVD's take longer than VHS. For the caliber of product we are going to recieve, the level of customer service, not to mention the discount we recieved by preordering, I think we are all getting a great bargain, regardless of the DVD lag time, and I feel good about supporting SNM by preordering, which is just icing on the cake.

Runathon, I'm in the same situation with you on both orders (Powerstrike and Cathe). I don't mind the wait for the Cathe DVDs, for all the reasons mentioned by others in this thread. On the other hand, Powerstrike's lack of keeping us in the loop, just talking about some vague "production problems" is quite frustrating. I received an e-mail notice the "first time" they delayed the DVD, but didn't receive one for the second delay. I only found out about it by reading it on fitness forums like this!

I agree, SNM has been up front about the whole thing. We all knew that DVDs take longer... they ARE much better in the long run. They said they will TRY to get them out by Xmas; they never promised anything. I think they did great job even getting the VHS out that quick. Furthermore, I could see, with the many many pre-mixed combo that they have created, it would take much longer to 'de-bug' (test, verify) that the master copy is not defective. I think it's worth the wait! Just be patience!

I also agree that they have been upfront. I would rather they take their time, especially with chaptering, and put out a product that everyone will be pleased with than rush. It seems that they're pretty close to shipping, probably in a couple of weeks. I've also waited since September, but I'll be patient because I know they'll be worth the wait.

I think you misunderstand the whole concept of "preorder", so I will explain it to you.

This is where you order something before it has even been produced in order to get a discount, and where you trust that the manufacturer will make a good product, sight unseen.

You preorder products that you do NOT have an immediate need for, because you are not given a date as to when they will be completed.

If you need something, you do NOT preorder it. You buy something already on the market. Cathe and many other trainers have a multitude of workouts on the market.

You are not entitled to a date from SNM, and you are not entitled to an extra video for the waiting. Unfortunately, you made a mistake, so now you need to sit back and enjoy the excitement of the wait with the rest of us who don't feel quite so entitled.

I'd be happy to see another clip of the new workouts (as opposed to a free tape) :-hmmm I don't get that, or maybe I do. I'm sure vickie figured it wouldn't hurt to "ask." I've watched the Imax 2 clip twice, made my husband watch it, made my sister watch it. I think I'll go watch it again right now!
 
I know. I am about to lose it I am so excited about the new tapes, but since I just found Cathe I just keep ordering ones I don't have, heehee, they are new to me

I also pre-ordered the new DVD's in the fall and am anxiously awaiting their arrival. But from everything I've read on the posts from SNM and from those who have already received the videos, I have no doubt that they will be worth the wait! Be patient and expect only the best from Cathe!!!

I preordered in September and told my husband that I had just bought myself his Christmas present to me. I put 100% faith and trust into SNM because they are the best barring none. So to wait unknowing is one thing, but to wait with plenty of updates, information, and facts about how many extras will be included is no problem. Not to mention what a great deal pre-ordering was. Just my opinion.
