New DVD are great

I did the Advanced High Step this morning and was not disappointed!!! Like others, it totally kicked my behind! I loved the set, the pace, the choreography! Another double thumbs up for Cathe! I think I will try the beginner step tomorrow as I expect my legs to be jellooooo.....

I did the High Step advanced this morning and liked it. Like Karen said the one arm dips are a killer. The squats over the high step had me screaming. I felt better using my regular step at 8 inches for the cardio I kept tripping on the mini step. I am not used to the small step and kept over shooting it. It is a fun workout and I want to do it again tomorrow. I did the lower body on body fusion and liked that also a nice change. These DVD's are a great addition to my Cathe Collection.

So Glad Others Are Struggling Too!

I am so glad that others are struggling with the new advanced DVD! I thought I was super fit! Yeah, right!

I did the Advanced DVD again tonight and I thought I'd pass out --- I can do most every other Cathe with no trouble whatsoever -- even The Terminators -- but this one humbles me to the ground -- literally!

I can't see the day I'll be able to do those one arm tricep dips -- I can keep one foot out or add a weight to my lap and do two arm dips -- without much struggle, but the one dips are simply beyond my ability! But I'll keep trying to push a little harder with every workout!

As for the hovers, I can't get through all of them yet. By the fourth set, I am hosed!

I did use a 12 pound weight for leg presses except for the circuit where Cathe does double leg presses -- then I dropped to 10 pounds!

And I had to stop the video by the 5th circuit -- I had to lower my step to 6 inches, catch my breath and recoup my focus.

I am going to keep at this video -- it will be my Ultimate Fitness Challenge!

Cathe must have decided that if she was going to do only one advanced video, she would pull out all stops! How does she do all that with so little effort? She is Super Woman!

BTW, I finally was able to really listen to the music and it rocks! I know the first time I was definitely having a "out of body" experience -- so I was oblivious to the music!

I LOVE THIS DVD SO MUCH!

I did the High Step Advanced this morning and it's groovy. I was dripping sweat and liked all the moves. I previewed all the others and I think they have great potential for advanced exercisers with increased weight and extra risers. I also like the tubes because I travel with tubes when we go on vacation and the kids bring the PS2. And there are very many ways to sub heavier weights for any of the tube work so I think that counts as a workout within a workout right there. I think you can mix and match the beginner/intermediates very effectively too. Since I despise compound weight work, doing High Step Circuit twice through and separating the compound segments would give a boost to the workout. They are easy on the eye, Cathe's cueing is as exquisite as ever and they look fun and have wonderful potential for modifying to advanced workouts. I was chuckling to myself since I realized I was half-waiting for a blast of some sort and that's missing but it's intriguing to think of creating some! LOL! And the tempo is slower than we are used to but that's cool becasue I have many a fast-paced workout to chose from among the older stuff. I give them all thumbs up and look foreward to playing with the beginner/intermidiates later this week.
