Preview all the new DVDs yesterday and did both the high step intermidate and high ste[ advance. I did high step intermediate last night + ran 2.25 miles on the treadmill. Great workout with weights. Used a 8 inch step. Love the new look of set.

Did High Step Advance this morning and it blow me away. I tried the first step combo on a 8 inch step and fell on my big B*tt. So reduce the step to 6 inch and was still sweating bullet. The arms and legs weight work is great. Those one arm dips will have you crying.

By the end of the workout I was sweating so much that the eyes starting burning. I will wait a day or two and try again.

Wow! Mine are coming today so I will have them for the long weekend! Thanks for that quick review! I have something to look forward to!

Now this is what I've been waiting for. Tell me more please!

I didn't preorder because I wanted to know what everyone thought about it first. Are the beg/int workouts something you can make harder? I did have this inkling that the advanced workout would kick serious butt, as usual. I just might have to pull out the credit card...

The beginning tapes looked good. You can always up the weight and increase step high and do more power moves. I think Cathe and crew are using 3 to 5 lbs on 6 inch step. I would probably use 8 to 10 however with the tubing the movements seem so diffcult. The muscles are begin worked a different way. The DVDs are really at a high quality picture crystal clear.

That advance tape cardio on the step is just too much. I am going to have to work up to the level to do it on a 8 inch step. Lots of power moves. I think is it the last section of cardio that is like one of the blast on IMAX 2 I was dying. Upper thigh under B*tt area was in real pain. Muscles got tight and was jumping.

Wow Wayne!! I can't believe you got them soooo fast, that's quite amazing, I'm in Canada and pre ordered and won't be surprised if it takes another week:-(
Can you please, please tell us more about the cardio and power moves or about new moves or weight exercises or anything any details would be much appreciated to keep me going until I get mine, I'm feeling a lot like a kid at Christmas, waiting and waiting and.......... oooooohhhhhhhhh it's so hard to wait:). I'm practising patience, I'm practising patience.....
Thanks and Enjoy!!:) :) :)

Hi Karen, I also had to lower my step to 6" because it just blew me away. This IMHO is really tough}(. I did it this morning. I was really sweating and my HR was really high. It was a little hard trying to get use to doing the cardio on the small step. I guess I will get use to it soon. The quality seems to be getting better and better as Cathe puts out new videos. It is so crisp and clear. I love the new background setting.

Ok, you all need to stop now!:) You are going to make me spend money.:) I didn't preorder for the same reason as Pinky. I had a feeling that I would regret not preodering, but I just didn't know if I should or not, so I didn't this time.
But thanks for sharing the good news! I was obvioulsy kidding about sharing your thoughts about these apparently great workouts.

I'm trying to patiently wait for my Cathe pre-order to arrive next Friday.... It's great to hear everyone's reviews in the meanwhile! Keep em coming!

My DVD arrived today too. (I only ordered the Advanced High Step.) I only got to preview for a few minutes before my kids and I went to a beach party but what I saw looked great! The cardio has a LOT of power moves!

For those of you who have done this one, how would you compare it to Bootcamp?

New Advanced Video VS Bootcamp

The new advanced DVD makes Bootcamp seem like a Beginner's Video.

I did the new Advanced Video tonight and it totally kicked my A**!

Those one arm tricep dips had me crying!

I would advise doing the cardio circuits on 6 in until you master the VERY dynamic moves in the cardio segments.

On the Downside:

I really don't like cardio moves on the smaller step area -- some of the moves are VERY dynamic and fast, so if you misjudge placement, you could hurt yourself.

I wish this workout had the Music Louder feature like the "Blast" series.

The music is nothing special -- just there! But then again I was definitely having a Cathe "Out of Body" Experience during the workout, so perhaps I was just oblivious to the music because I was struggling so much.

On the Upside:

I Love the Set Design!

I love the hair styles and wardrobe -- Cedie's legs are to die for --she gets more beautiful with every video!

Cathe has never looked better! I love her hair style -- I wore my hair like that when I did the workout tonight -- it really keeps the hair out of the face!

The leg presses on each circuit are AWESOME and the hover squats were so difficult I had to stop by the last set. I just THOUGHT my lower body was strong! I am a weakling!

I love all the compound moves -- the chest flies while working the glutes on the 8 in step left me feeling spent!

Great workout, but not for the Faint of Heart -- this video is so advanced it is scary.

To me, it is the most difficult Cathe Video Ever!

The pace is fast, upbeat, and eliminates any boredom -- time just flies by!

It is definitely worth the money if you want to have what Cathe calls "An Out of Body Experience"!

In My Opinion, if you crave a Fantastic Circut Challenge that will reduce your entire body to jelly, don't hesitate to buy this video!

Please do not let the lower weight choices of 5, 10, and 30 lbs. fool you -- this video is EXTRMELY ADVANCED!

This will become an enduring favorite workout in my collection!

Every time I think Cathe can't get any more creative and challenging, she proves me wrong!

THANKS CATHE & CREW!

I LOVE IT & AM GLAD I BOUGHT IT!

RE: New Advanced Video VS Bootcamp

Hi, my DVDs and mug arrived on Thursday and I previewed them last evening. They all look awesome. I am going to do either high step circuit or high step training today. Will post my opinion after I finish late this afternoon.:)

RE: New Advanced Video VS Bootcamp

Kandy, I know how you feel. When the Body Blast workouts were sent they were not scheduled to arrive to my house until Monday, yet they were sitting at UPS only about 15 minutes from my house. I called to see if I could pick them up, but the office is not open on Saturday and I had to wait.

RE: New Advanced Video VS Bootcamp

I did the advanced highstep training today. WHEW! It was tough. I was able to use the 8inch step for the cardio intervals but I needed more breaks than usual and I pooped out after the cycle 5 leg press but did the end stretch. This is an incredible workout... my body is definitely not used to this kind of workout and I feel a little bit like a bowl of jello. But boy was it fun and the time flew by. There is a really good stretch at the end too.
I previewed the intermediate high step workout and this one looks like it is a blast too. Can't wait to try it.:D

RE: New Advanced Video VS Bootcamp

I didn't preorder because I also wanted to hear what others had to say about them. I'm wondering about the other dvds though , ok it seems so far that the advanced is great and those who have done it like it. So how great are the other ones and how would you rate them i.e. circuit, cardio, strength etc.

I was so on the fence about preordering and now I wish I had but being that the Blast series was still new to me I didn't. Sounds like I'll be with Pinky on getting that credit card out.

RE: New Advanced Video VS Bootcamp

I also previewed my dvds between yesterday and today. I did the high step advanced workout this morning. It's very tough! Harder for me than Boot Camp is and I thought I was in pretty good condition! Definitely will have to work up to it.
