Need help with thighs

I really need some help with my thighs. Which of Cathe's dvds work best for toning and overall fat loss. Yes, I know I will need to clean up my diet as well. Thanks in advance!

The LIS has helped me slim down in the thighs. I don't know if it's any one workout or the combination of the entire series. I've seen other people make the same comment about this series.

LIS

I can swear by LIS to help slim down thighs/butt. Nothing ever helped my Lower Body the way LIS has. For me, it's been a god-sent. I am a pear shape and buying pants was always a dreaded problem. For the first time in my life I bought a pair of skinny jeans and could fit in a size smaller. If that's not motivating, I don't know what is.

LIS will whip those thighs into good shape quickly. All of Cathe's lower body workouts are good for shaping & slimming the thighs, but when I do LIS, I see results that I hadn't experienced doing anything else. I also notice significant changes in my core.

Yes, I did the November LIS rotation. It look me to the end of December to finish due to a cold and adding Spin Max in 2 days a week, but had great results, considering the holidays.

I'm now doing the STS/LIS Three Month Transformation Rotation and looking forward to even better results!

I did the November LIS rotation and Dec hi/low rotation (as closely as I could. I have a difficult time following rotations by the book). Right now I am doing something similar to Dec hi/low, but I am throwing in Supreme 90-Day workouts 1-2 days/week, just to change it up (mostly strength training). LIS can't be beat IMO. Amazing for LB trouble zones. You could probably only do Turbo Barre for LB and get results; that workout is INSANE!!

Thanks!

I got the LIS and I have not yet tried them because I was doing my first rotation of STS. Just finished and was wondering what to do next. Definitely going to the the November LIS rotation!

YES! DO that rotation. One word of advice, make sure you have the tools (slide & glide discs, firewalker bands, dixie cups or other substitute). I found that all those tools worked amazing when combined together to really tone the hip/thigh/butt. I am still doing a few LIS workouts/week and feel DOMS every time! It's wonderful! Enjoy and good luck :)

I have to agree that the LIS has made headway where nothing else could! My thighs have also slimmed down in the last two months since I've been doing this series. I primarily do Afterburn, Cardio SuperSets and the Tri-Sets DVD. I've only done Turbo Barre a couple of times and I also don't do the Slide and Glide one because they both cause my lower back to hurt.

The rotation for February is Lower Body, so you may want to follow along and see what impact that has on your thighs. I'm doing that rotation this month and I'm hoping to see more progress. It started this Monday, so you can pick it up now and add this week on at the end, if you wanted to do the whole series.

Oh, and I've also added another riser to my step when I do step workouts, hoping that would give me some better results too. All of these add-ons have definitely toned my legs and made a dent in the cellulite over the last two months, which I thought I would never, ever see.

Hope that helps!

Thigh help needed here as well.

I'm excited after reading all the remarks about the November LIS rotation. Excited to the point that I want to try it .... but will I get all the way through it?? Will I stay on track?? I've gotten excited about rotations in the past and then get a week or two into them and lose motivation or get going on my own rotation. Can anyone offer advice about sticking with it?

I know February is almost halfways gone, but I'm considering starting the LIS November rotation after Valentine's day. I'm a pear shape and always have a tough time with my lower body. If so many other women have had such great results, maybe I can, too! :)

I often have trouble sticking with a rotation, but completed the November LIS rotation and felt a great sense of satisfaction for completing the rotation. I was also very happy with my results and am down one size in my jeans/pants!

Easier said than done though, I started January with the LIS/STS 3 month rotation, but when Cathe posted Feb. '12, I bailed on the 3 month. Why? I had done LIS only since it came out and missed some of my other Cathe workouts, plus it "attacks" the lower body!

Set a challenge for yourself to complete a rotation! Good luck! LIS is awesome.

Hello :)

You will not be disappointed with the LIS Nov. rotation. I am a pear-shape and it helped me tremendously. My outer thighs are smoother, my inner thighs are less-jiggly and my butt was toned down (I don't need it to be toned-up, I have an ample booty). I went down a pant size and even lost a few lbs. I am now doing the Feb lower body rotation to change it up.

Also the Dec hi/low was great too. After Nov I was missing some high impact, so I was able to bring them back with the Dec rotation and still keep LIS. Those 2 months really kicked my rear into shape.

Have a great day :)

I'm interested in following the LIS rotation, however I only own LIC Step, Afterburn, Athletic Training and Cycle Max. I'm not sure I want to invest any more money on other workouts right now and also the gliding disc moves bother my knees a bit which is why I didnt get Slide&Glide.

So.....

Can someone let me know what are good substitutions for the other workouts I dont have so I can get the most of this rotation?? And, is there really one LIS that I dont have that you feel is essential for this rotation???

Thanks for your help!!!

You need Turbo Barre!! That is a must!! Great for the LB.

CSS, is another you don't have. It's really fun, but not necessary. You can perhaps sub this with another cardio of your choice. Do you like step? Athletic Step is great. Not too hard but not easy. I would not sub CSS with an extremely difficult step w/o like the IMAX's. They are not in the same league.

There is also TBT Tri-Sets. If you don't want to purchase them, you can always use another UB/LB w/o.

Either than that, you should be good to go for the rotation. Oh, and there are Yoga days in that rotation, but you don't have to do them (I never did). You can sub w/stretching, day off or another yoga DVD if you prefer.

Good luck!

I also have following the Novemebr LIS Rotation and have had amazing results all over but expecially in the lower body. I can says I have lost weight and can see the inches coming off. I have went down a pant size also.

I followed the 5 day/ and am almost done with the 6 day rotation.

Next is STS.

Oops, I meant I have Turbo Barre not CycleMax!

I'm pretty much missing Cardio Superset, TB Trisets and Slide&Glide as the main ones.

I have Athletic Step but havent done it yet. I have most of Cathe's other workouts, is the UB/LB in TB Trisets more endurance, ie. maybe Leaner Legs as a sub?? CTX UB as a sub as well??

What about Slide & Glide???

For Tri-Sets, this is the description for it:
This total body strength workout will focus on exhausting all the major muscle groups through the use of weighted trisets. A mixture of compound and isolation exercises will be uniquely grouped to set your muscles on fire. Expect to work at 60 to 80 percent of your one rep max range which will definitely inspire a cardiovascular bonus.

I am thinking it's more of a med-heavy weight training routine as opposed to lighter weights higher reps. I do not have all of Cathe's w/o's (yet) so I am not sure how to compare it. I am pretty certain you can sub/with something similar.

If you don't want to get S&G and CSS, you can make due without them. For S&G, it's approx 20min of sliding cardio + 20min of conditioning using the discs, tubing and firewalkers. Perhaps Travel Fit? For CSS, you can sub a cardio w/o that is challenging but not extremely intense.

Personally, I found the combination of all the LIS w/o's to be very effective, but of course sometimes you have to modify and make due with what you have.

Hope I have helped a bit!

Good luck!
