Need Help Shopping For 3 Boys

My family has adopted another family for Christmas. They have 3 boys ages 4, 5 and 9. I need some ideas on want kinds of toys to get them. They have all asked for trucks. We usually buys books and games as well but I always have trouble coming up with ideas for other toys especially for boys. It can't be anything that would require additional gear because they wouldn't have any money to spend on something later. Battery operated toys are fine. We usually will buy them a bunch of batteries, if needed.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

How about Legos? There's lots of themes to choose from, and no batteries required (that I know of).

I also recommend Legos - maybe Duplos for the youngest boy, though. I have three boys and they are teenagers now and still love Legos. Something inexpensive that my guys always liked were the small plastic soldiers - those are sold in dollar stores and discount stores.

LEGOS

POKEMAN CARDS

MAGNETIX

KINEX

Anything that is building toy is really good for boys ( I have 2!)

With these sets you can have an ample choice as to how much you want to pay.

What about the Nerf All Weather Football (my 3 boys loved this one), baseball and mitts, or a sled. Good luck.

Hi again,
I thought of other things. What about crayons, markers, colored pencils, paper, glue, clay or other art supplies? How about cards; flash cards, Uno. Jenga is fun. Puzzles can be fun.

oops, I posted twice.

I have an 8 year old boy... anything in the Nerf section of Toy R'Us. They always go over well when he is going to a birthday party as well. Good for all the ages you mention.

My son is going to be 6 in Dec. HE loves cars, tonka trucks, Thomas the train. He is getting into legos now and he also has the kid knex sets and loves those. For the younger boy I would def. say Thomas would be a big hit, but the older 2 probably would like the other stuff more.

What about those hand held video games? I do not have kids, but I see these things everywhere!
