My Duhpyphany!!

So, after stressing out about all of the major life issues being brought to the forefront in my life all at once ... not to mention the ones I was bringing on myself!!! I have come to the conclusion that I need to clear the way for the most important ones- my son, his education and helping to get him to a healthy place in all ways.

I am his strongest advocate and he needs me to fight for him much more than I need to freak about getting my business going. I will be able to focus better on the business aspect once I discover the right answers and path to help him feel healthy and to feel good about himself.

I've begun interviewing various schools and to quote from Steel Magnolias, "I'm gonna be busier than a one-armed paper hanger!". Selecting the right educational option as well as the other testing will take time and loving attention on my part. It is all sooo very important.

I am soo at peace with this decision!! It just feels right. Ahhhhhh!

Hugs,
Pam

Your what?!? Oh, now I get it!

Pam,

It wasn't until I opened your post that I realized what you meant. At first I thought you'd gotten some newfangled dog breed!:D

I'm happy for you. I think it's often this way - once you decide your path everything becomes much easier.

Make sure you take some time for yourself - you can't be a good advocate if you're burnt out (this is something I am constantly visiting in my own life...self-care is a practice that needs daily attention).

Let us know how things progress.

I'm glad to hear that you have found a path! Remember that there may be times when you need to tweak it a little bit! Don't get too caught up in perfection! Go with the flow! I agree with Suzanne that it does get easier once you have a direction!

Been there...

...still doing that. But it gets easier as the pieces fall into place. Testing? Check. Right school? Check. Therapy? Check. Support? Check. Things still tough? Sometimes.

At first it's so hard and overwhelming, but take it one decision at a time. Take comfort in knowing that you're moving in the right direction. :)

Thank you all sooo much for your support!! It does feel less overhwhelming (for now;)). I am meeting with Randy's teachers today and the principal on Tuesday to express my concerns. We'll see how things go from there!

Suzanne- a newfangled dog breed - toooo funny! Duhpyphany would be a cute name for a dog though, dontcha think?!! :D :p

Thanks again and big hugs. :D
