My Bathroom Renovation is Finished - Take a Look

WOW!! You did that yourself!?!?!? I'm amazed by that. It looks fantastic and no one would question that it was done by anyone other than a professional. How far are you from Ohio because I have 2 bathrooms in need of attention--lol!

WOW! That looks great! We are about to start our own bathroom remodel and it was great to hear you completed it in 5 days! My husband and I took the week off work and plan to do it all ourselves in 1 week. So, wish us luck! It if turns out half a good as yours, I will be thrilled.

Great Job! Any tips you would share? I get the feeling we should order stuff now becuase you said that was some lead time for stuff. Did you tile all the way to the ceiling? Did you tile the ceiling about the shower?

Thanks for any tips and again... nice job!

WOW!!!! That bathroom was night and day!!! Can you even imagine that you used to have the old bathroom? GREAT JOB and CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now go ahead and take a nice long soak in your new bathtub! :)

Tip #1:

When you remove the toilet paper holder, one would assume that you would put the NEW holder in the same place. However, I purchased a Toto "comfort height" toilet, which is around 3" higher than the normal toilet - and of course the toilet paper holder was put back in the original location when it should have been moved up 3". Who would have thought about that???

Tip #2:

I had no idea about DUST from cutting of the tile! Cover everything in the area around your bathroom.

Tip #3:

I put a smaller medicine cabinet in that what was originally there! Make sure that you measure the new cabinet in relation to the old one and that the overhead light is lined up with the mirror, sink.

I had my tile person tile up to the ceiling because I wanted a SPA-like feeling. I also didn't want to paint. I have recently started watching "Designed To Sell" on HGTV and I just wanted a "generic look" that would appeal to potential buyers. My bathroom came out nicer than expected!!!

Now on to my Kitchen upgrade project!!!

It looks FANTASTIC! Wow...

I'm mid way through my kitchen and kicking myself I didn't take before pictures.

Your bathroom looks great!

Thanks, Robyn:

I am very surprised that it turned out so nice because I had absolutely no lead time and I rushed to get all of my fixtures. Unfortunately, the stuff that I wanted had a 4-6 week ship time, so I had to settle. Thankfully, that is the biggest job that I had to tackle in my apartment, but next time I will have a much better idea of what I need to do.

I am now starting on my kitchen. Thankfully, its not as big a job as my bathroom was. That should be done by late July.
