Muscle Max - whats next?

Hi!!! I've been doing MM for maybe 6 weeks now, and I am seeing wonderful results. But I'm thinking 6 weeks is about time to switch it up. I've been looking at ME. How does it compare I caught part of it on FitTv the other day, and it looks "different" and thats about all I can use to describe it. I also took a quick peek at Push Pull and Supersets, but according to the guide, they are a bit easier, and I don't want to go backwards. Although, I suppose I could just use heavier weights. My only real requirement is thats its whole body. I'm not big on weights, although Cathe does make it more fun. And I've only got about 1 - 1 1/4 hrs a day for workouts, so to get everything in I would like to for the week, the weights have got to stay full body. So where do I go from here?

Hi Nan,

For the past month I've been alternating w/ MM, ME, MIS and Power Hour (I am doing TB 3x/wk) You can't go wrong with any of these!

If u have the ME/Bootcamp DVD, u can do all of ME and do Bootcamp justthe upper/lower body premix for an extra 15-20 min of intensity. I love ME and although she does lots of leg presses, u can always substitute w/ lunges or plies

Power Hour is also great and it comes with MIS and Body Max on one DVD so as an add on u can add the leg segment of MIS or the upper body segment of Body Max to Power Hour to make it more intense

HTH, u will love all of these great w/o's!!

I really like Muscle Max but find I get more DOMS with Muscle Endurance. They are both so different and I think ME may be more challenging for me. I am not partial to Boot Camp but am grateful(due to the price of the DVD) I love ME so much. I think the combination of both would give you awesome results.

I know you said full body workouts, but if you want to see continued results sometimes you have to be willing to think outside the box and perhaps consider a split routine. You could be surprised at the results you see. I think Muscle Max is the toughest full body weight routine Cathe has. I'd consider Slow & Heavy, the Pyramids (which has a bonus combo that is full body), the Pure Strength Series or even Body Max 2 which has a full body premix among others. If you're dead set on full body, I would probably opt for Max. Intensity Strength.

I really enjoy the Gym Styles... they are great workouts...If you never done Split routines I would definitely go for the gym styles. I also like Supersets/Push pull... they are fun workouts (love the music) and get the job done quickly!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'm now leaning toward MIS and Power Hour. I believe Body Max is on that, too. Lots of bang for my buck. I just mailed off my expense report for work, and soon as my money comes back, I believe I'll be placing an order. That will give me 2 new weight w/o's to rotate thru, so I should be set for a while. Thanks again!!
