Most loved exercise moves

So, I loved mini-natty's post on the most dreaded exercise moves - how about the most loved/most fun?

Here are some that I really love to do:

1. Hip-hop repeaters (in 4DS LIS and LIS Low Impact Challenge)
2. Pikes on a stability ball - took me a long time to be able to do these, but now that I can, I really love doing them.
3. The James Bond pose in Step Jump & Pump (during the GoldenEye song). It cracks me up every time I do it.
4. Jump kicks
5. The last move in 4DS Bootcamp - running really fast in one spot, then getting down and doing push-ups, hopping up and running really fast again. I also end up laughing during that move. :)

5. Push-ups off the step (cheating I know. Don't judge people)

4. Squat Jumps (cuz' I rock at those!!!)

3. Dixie Cup lunges!!! (DOMS everytime!!)

2. Front Kicks, side kicks, any type of kick (KPC, yeah baby!!)

1. FIREWALKERS !!! (burn baby burn!!!!!)
 
I love....

1. Squats in all positions..on toes (barre), wide, narrow
2. Bicep curls
3. Sliding reverse and side lunges
4. Chest Press
5. Skull crushers
 
Jump kicks,

Jab cross upper hook (just gimme some)

That skip up, skip back in Imax 2.
Makes me happy for some reason.

Power kicks

The cool down.

You had me at the "hip-Hop" Repeaters....my absolute favorite!!! And combo 7 in Imax 3.... with the Jump Freeze. The step portion in SJ&P is one of my favorites too.

I'll have to get back to you with the rest....I have tons that I love!!

Hey Jenn - I totally forgot combo 7 in Imax 3 with the jump freeze - there is something fun about that. Isn't that when Cathe says "hoo-ah!"?
 
1) Double Richochet to side step to lunges on Step Blast.
2)Figure 8s found on IMAX3 plus a couple of others.
3)Starbursts
4)Plunge Lunge
5) Fast foot shuffle-once you get it, you will love it.

oh, I love dixie cup lunges and firewalkers! :eek:
 
This one is harder! I adore all firewalker moves-hurts so good. I love the cool down on MIC with Madonna and the double grapevines. Gosh, it's too hard to narrow it down to any others! I'm constantly reaching for Cathe's tapes for cardio and strength, so I guess I like them all!
 
A few off the top of my head...

1. Deadlifts
2. The V step where you do it forwards and back and then shuffle to change feet (Low Impact Circuit)
3. Fast feet shuffle is really fun, although tiring
4. Mountain climbers on the step (Body Max 2)
5. Elbow strikes

Yep, I always have to "hoo-ah" too along with her!!

Here are more of my favorites:

Ricochets
Any combo with a Jack (Jack Jab, Up/Jack Down/Jack, Burpee/Jack...anything)
Plank Jacks
Straddle Taps
Any Plank variation with the Gliders
Shuffles (down the board, L-step Shuffle....I like to shuffle)
Pendulums
Deadlifts
KB Swings
Firewalkers


I am sure I can think of more....not much I don't like!
 
Oh there are so many to pick from! One move in particular that comes to mind is the curtsey lunge from High Reps.

Oh I love the curtsey lunges on the slide and glide disc! So much fun and much easier on the joints than even the regular lunges on the discs.
 
This is a fun thread. I like many that have already been mentioned, but here are five more in no particular order:
1. Sumos (IMAX2 blast 8)
2. Puddle jumpers (on Intensity and CardioSuperSets)
3. Shuffle repeaters
4. Bunny hops (on IMAX as an easier, lower-impact alternative to two-footed jumps side to side on the floor)
5. Leap frogs forward and back where Cathe says ribbit (on Intensity)
 
I like ice breakers and fast feet shuffles. Also, I like to 'jump up' on the board. It took me a while to be able to do it, but now its fun.

Forgot about this one...love jumping on the board, especially when it is a higher step, like in 40/20.

Forgot about ski hops into bunny hops/jack in Intensity.
Also, the elbow sit up move that Cathe does in Turbo Barre, and anything with the dixie cups.

I love too many moves....Cathe is brilliant, and she makes it so easy for me to do my job (trainer, boot camp instructor). But I always give credit where credit is due...I have to let everyone know who my trainer is, right?
