monderfulday in the CHEETAH lair...

Cathlete
okay, i have been up since 0310. not only that, but i couldn't fall asleep until well after 10:30! i feel like a kid on christmas eve. a friend and i made my basement into a full workout space and i just can't wait to go use it. i posted pics on OD. i can not tell you how excited i am to have everyhting in one place and that place NOT be my living room!!!

anyway, i am trying to decide on a workout...

with the pet fair saturday and working on my room on sunday, i had two rest days in a row. i need to get my arse back in gear!

i am going to attempt personals (i hope they're not too lame), but i have really missed what's been going on with all of you and hope not to do that anymore. i miss you guys.

Cathy (WT)-i am so excited you are finished with your portfolio (which is probably perfect). you will have that nb certification in NO TIME!

judy-sounds like you had a great run yesterday! maybe your friend and i can join cardio anonymous together. i just LOVE it and know i do too much cardio. i have been lifting heavy as well. my eating has been CRAP! i will be joining you guys on NROL. theresa (tessatl) also wants to do it and has made spreadsheets for the workouts. love her! maybe we can start a check in. i know another atlanta catheite (lauren) wants to do it as well.

kath-how did the visit with the mil go? did you need to imbibe? ;-)

carole-glad you had a good (and fairly pain free) run with your sis and friend. did you get to your taxes???

sunny-i hope you had a restful rest day. :)

christine-how was in the ring? did you get a lot done with cookmax? that might be one of my least fave "workouts" aloong with laundrymax (more specifically, foldmax and ironmax).

shelly-i am SO glad you can relax about your license and start looking for a job. i know you all are in high demand. i think you'll have your pick of whatever you want to do! i hope your dad had a wonderful birthday celebration.

linda-i can't do a lot of choreography and i'm not a fan of the more dancy/complicated stuff. it's weird, i'm fine with almost anything cathe. i think that's because her cuing is so excellent. i won't even try amy bento because i heard she is really into choreography.

wendy-don't you hate when your ears and hands are cold? GREAT pace on your run. sorry about the cramping. when i ran the san diego marathon, i didn't like their sports drink so i kept drinking water instead. after about 15 miles, i started to get hyponatremic. luckily, the person i was running with had powdered gatorade with her and i mixed that with water and was fine after a while. i think it's a great idea to bring the drinks/snacks you're used to training with. congrats, girl! you did great! i hope your stretching helped. i think you deserve a massage!

dallas-i don't think i would be working out early after a teen party that lasted until midnight!

posh-good to see you!!! i will be joining you in using that can of whoop a$$. my workouts have been fine but my eating has been TERRIBLE (really awful) and i have gained a few pounds. only thing is, i didn't weigh myself before i started lifting heavy but i think it might be a mixture of some muscle (maybe a small amount or at least i like to tell myself that) and some actual weight gain. i am going to clean up my diet. i really need to.

hi to jess!

okay, off to go pick my workout!

Good morning Cheetahs!

I'm up and done with a 15 minute walk and the Firm Power Yoga. Had a couple of minutes. I got lots of packing done over the weekend but have so much more to go. Where does all of this stuff come from? Can't wait until I'm taking it to the new house. Don't know when that will be yet but hope it's soon.

Well, I'd better get ready for work. Be back for personals later.

Hope you have a great start to your week!

Jackie

Hello Monderful Cheetahs

I am up with coffee and Waldo at here the computer. He still comes running when ever I go to the computer.

Jackie- Yoga was probably a good choice after all that packing.

Lorrie- I am glad to know more Catheites will be trying NROL. I made my sheets up last night from the website. But I have to tweak them a bit. I can't wait to see what Sunny says after her first WO today....Congratulations on our new WO room!!!

Sunny- As I just mentioned, how was your first WO with NORL? I notice the sheets from the web page have room for workouts 1-4. It would be nice to have room for workouts 1-8 A or B for each stage. Stage 1 looks like the workouts will be short. I 'm not complaining though, because it will be an adjustment. I am also considering rethinking my cardio to 3 HIIT per week only.

Geesh Wendy did you read that? I am being indecisive!...How do your legs feel today?

Wendi- How did the show go with the colicky horse? do you get a day off?

I have today and tomorrow to get in WO at home, then we leave for DS's national Hockey Tournament. I hope the hotel has a WO room. (We don't get to pick the hotel. They are assigned by the tournament) So today will be a run tomorrow will be total body weights.

Good morning! Just a quick hello to all my cheetahs! The weekend was uneventful. My knee is feeling a little better, mainly enough to not have to use my crutches. It is an on and off again thing. I'm still wearing the brace prescribed by my doctor and taking my anti-inflammatory medicine.

Today's workout will be GS C&T and Ab Hits. Oh, Saturday my DB ran my 10 mile race. It was the best time I have ever ran. LOL He did it in 1 hr 25 minutes. He was even very sick when he ran it. What a trooper!

Well, I need to get some work done. I'll BBL for personals! WAVES to all Cheetahs!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Uggghhhh, I'm dog tired from this weekend! I need to get my arse moving if I want to get a 6 mile run in before the rain this morning. I got home around 8:00 last night (not surprising) so plans with DSO were nixed, although he was such a sweetie and had some awesome chinese take out and an amazing massage waiting for me. Now *that's* the way to finish off a long day at a show!

The horse show went well. Miss Toad had some great moments and was first and third in two of her four classes so I was happy with her. The other horses were great...the kid and the pony were champion in their little division so that was good (it's an awesome pony) and the jumper was a saint so we were all happy.

The colicky mare from the night before is back to her old self so crisis averted there. Normally a little colic is not a big deal but this is an older mare that has had colic surgery in the past which makes her a bit more delicate.

DSO and I will be spending the afternoon together (he took off from work) to make up for last night...I just don't know what our plans are yet. We'll probably have a nice lunch or something. Okay, let me get out for that run and then I'll be back with personals from the weekend.

Good morning, cheetahs! :7 :7 :7

I am home today on a personal. I just triple-checked my portfolio and sealed it up. I just need to get packing tape (I ran out) and then it’s off.

I will probably have to return the new laptop today because I’m not happy with its performance. It’s not even a week old, so how can it be slow? I guess that's another reminder you get what you pay for. That one was a bargain.

OK, time to catch up on personals.

Lorie :: Sweet having your workout room all set up. Haaa! Perfect? No. But done? YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! :7 Thanks for the support.

Kath :: I *love* Will Ferrell…still want to see that one. Wouldn't mind some popcorn, either. :)

Carole :: yeah, it *is* a long process…I started last July! But January – March is the crazy time. Did you bang out your taxes? Glad you’re managing the knee pain OK. Did I mention lately that I <3 Yoda. }( :7

Sunny :: did you mean the Training Clinic DVD? Did you order it?

Christine :: I did not get to Firepower yet…I’m planning on it today…can’t wait!! Thanks for the review of In the Ring. Hmmm…

Shelly :: WOO-HOO!!! Glad to hear your license is on its way. Happy b’day to your dad. What a cool way to celebrate. How was it?

Linda :: oh, don’t feel guilty at all! I’m not concerned about waiting…just wanted to make sure the order was still in. It’s perfectly reasonable that you’d get it faster since you paid for expedited shipping, but I thought that I probably should’ve gotten a shipping notice by that point. Now that I have confirmation that the order’s still on record, I’m content to wait. Good to hear your comments on In the Ring. I’m on the bubble. I’m definitely not in the mood at this given time to learn a workout. Right now I’m into anything mindless. :)

Wendy :: how do you feel today? Hope the stretching and rest helped.

Dallas :: Oh yeah, you need to come up with a new cheetah name!…I saw the blog but I probably won’t buy the new equipment. I already have a pullup bar, so I’m thinking I don’t really NEED this. How’s the studying going?

POSH!!! :: great to “see” ya! You’ve been missed. Hope the new job’s going well for you.

Jackie :: Glad you accomplished a lot with the packing. Fingers crossed you can get into the new digs soon.

Wendi :: that's a good SO you got there...enjoy your day today!

Hi to everyone else! Have a great one. :)

Good Morning Cheetahs!

I’m tired this morning, but that’s typical for a Monday. I may have to put off Hi/Lo Knockout until I’m feeling more wide awake or you know accident-prone me will hurt something else. I’m quite good at that. I’ll let you know what I decide. Yesterday was nice. DH and I went to our local outdoor mall and listened to a Spanish singer while enjoying a glass of Chardonnay. It was cooler, yesterday, but warm enough in the sun. We took the dogs (DH also took them for a run yesterday), so they were nice and exhausted last night. I’m looking forward to spring and summer.

Wendy – WAY TO GO GIRL!!! That is a great time!! I’ll bet you are excited. You deserve to be! I’m so happy for you!!

Posh – good to see you! Sounds like a nice week off with the kids – enjoying the Posh lifestyle at your sis’s! :p I’m going to join you in eating clean this week!

Lorie – Oooooo! How exciting! A whole workout room now! I’m impressed. So what workout did you decide on to break it in?! ITR was a blast. I highly recommend it. I don’t mind CookMax so much, but I’m with you on laundrymax, foldmax and all that! Another one who needs to eat clean this week! We should report here to keep us straight!

Jackie – I think the worst part of a new house, is waiting for it to be done so you can move in! It’s amazing how much STUFF we accumulate, isn’t it? We moved 1 mile down the road and I moved a lot of the stuff myself – like my kitchen (no one better touch my kitchen stuff! :+), but it seemed like one of those pop up cards – everything fits so nice and neat, then suddenly you open it and BAM! It’s all right there. Amazing. :p Have fun!

Judy – Give Waldo a pat for me. Wow! Interesting that you don’t get to pick the hotel. Where is the tournament? I’ll bet you’re as proud as anything! That is exciting DS and his team have worked hard. A lot of hotels that do not have WO rooms have agreements with other hotels, or local gyms – ask at the front desk if that happens.

Cathy – thinking of you today on the final countdown! I’ll bet it’ll feel kind of like sending a child off to her first day of school as you put so much of yourself into it! Sorry to hear about the laptop.

Kristi – Glad to hear your knee is feeling better. Good for your brother for running the race, even while sick! Wow!

Wendi – Oooh, your DSO sounds like such a keeper!! What a sweet guy! Sounds like Miss Toad did well, and others did great, how wonderful! Enjoy your day with DSO! Do you actually have today off? :p

I’ll be back to say hi to the Cheetahs who post later!

Good Morning Cheetahs!:)

We must all rally together and give Cathy lots of kudos, hugs and cheers as she has completed her NB work by the deadline!!!

Cathy: I'm hurtin' on the outside but BEAMING on the inside!:D

Lorie: I checked out your work out space on the O/F before I came over to the check in. NICE! I'm jealous! I don't work out in my living room but the space I have is pretty small. I am ordering a sports drink I like that is similar to gatorade but not nearly as sweet so that I have it on hand for my half in May.

Jackie: Good job squeezing in the work out no matter how small.

Judy: I hope your hotel for the tourney has a work out room. If not, perhaps it will be in a good area with cooperating weather so you can get a run in? My hams/quads/calves feel fine today. Not sore at all but my hips/hip flexors and knees are still quite tender and it's making me walk funny. I really hope I have no where I have to go today. Walking like this is public would be plenty embarrassing! :p Sorry about your indecisiveness. I know how you feel! LOL

Kristi: Glad you are atleast off the crutches. That is a step in the right direction you know. Your DB kicked arse in that race! WOW! Good for him, I mean you...I mean him.....!LOL :p :7

Wendi: Glad to hear the show went well. Your SO is quite the romantic, ey? Enjoy the afternoon together no matter what you decide to do!}(

Christine: Smart decision not to do that work out when you are tired! You could land yourself in the ER!:p We should call you accident-prone cheetah from now on! ;-) Have a great day!:)

Well, I actually did Stretch X last night. It's the first time I've ever done that work out! LOL It felt good though with the soreness it was a challenge to get into some of the positions. I am still hurting this morning but I am sure a bit of it is due to stiffness from sleeping. I plan to stretch again today.

THANK YOU TO ALL for the wondeful congrats on the race. I am getting such warm fuzzies from them. An accomplishment like that is great but it's soooo much better when you have friends (who get it!;-)) like you girls to share it with!:)

Good morning cheetahs

Lorie..your workout room is da bomb!!!...:D...I will tackle my taxes today probably. Enjoy your workout.

Jackie...Good job on the packing. I bet you can get rid of some stuff before moving into the new house.

Judy..glad to know your ITB pain is gone. I hope DS and his team do well in the upcoming hockey Tournament. Enjoy your workouts.

Kristi...glad you knee is healing up. Congrats to your DH for running the 10 miles!!! Enjoy your GS workout and abs.

Wendi...glad DSO had dinner and a nice massage for you after your tough weekend. Sounds like the horse show went well. Nice too that the colicky one seems better. Have a good run!

Cathy...Way to go getting the NB portfolio finished!!! I didn't know you got a new laptop. Sorry you have to return it, I know some new computers don't seem to have enough RAM to run Vista very well...might be why it was inexpensive and slow...No, I will do my taxes today and hopefully get them done this week. LOL re: yoda...:)

Christine...it never got much over 60 here yesterday...brrrr....I am looking forward to a bit warmer weather too.

Wendy...I think stretching would be a good idea today! I use the Endurolytes mostly in the summer. I just open up the capsule and add it to my sport drink that I use when I run. I do think though that some runners just have more of a tendency for cramps and I am not one of them luckily. I am not a fan of Gatorade as it bugs my stomach, I have used Accelerade for for a couple of years on long runs.

Dallas...nope, never have liked sweet potatoes or yams...WOW your friend drank a whole bottle of Chardonnay??....2 glasses of wine would be my limit. I got a good deal of cleaning in my workout room done! I am thinking I might buy a new weight bench with my tax money...mine is falling apart.

I am doing MM shoulders and a freestyle leg circuit today. I might try some of Amy's new ITR Kickbox IF I get my DVD's today.

Have a great day...:)

Hey Carole!

Great idea for the Endurolytes! Perhaps I will do that then. I will buy the Heed sports drink and mix the endurolyte with it. Thank you! :) I saw runners enroute stopped to stretch out a crampy muscle. Reminded me of my half. You are probably right about some being more susceptible to cramping then others. Too bad I have to one of them. :-(

Enjoy your work out. I hope you get ITR today!:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Christine - Sorry to hear you injured your finger again. Hope it's ok. DH may have a good idea with the insurance. :) Glad you enjoyed In The Ring. Glad you enjoy the day with DH yesterday. Sounds relaxing.

Linda - I'll have to check out In The Ring. Sorry you run wasn't the best over the weekend. Hope you get your new workouts soon.

Carole - Glad to see you like the PP. Did you have a good run with your friend and sister? I have a throw out box and charity box. Should get rid of lots of stuff like that. Enjoy your workout today.

Wendi - Happy Anniversary to you and SO.

Cathy - Good luck with the portfolio. Enjoy your day at home. Sorry you're having to return your computer. Will have to keep the cheaper laptop thing in mind. May eventually get one. But, I want one with some speed.

Judy - I got about 10 boxes packed. Now, I need more. Good job on getting through the hill run yesterday. Picturing Waldo and you at the computer.

Kath - You're funny about your MIL and the liquor. :)

Shelly - Congratulations on the PA license! Good luck on finding that right job for you. Happy 80th Birthday to your dad!

Sunny - Hope the weather gets better so you can get that gardening done.

Wendy - Congratulations on your race! You had a great time too! Awesome job! How are you feeling today? You're really getting into your running. Don't have a definite moving date yet. I found out Thursday there was a delay in getting some of the tile for the master bathroom. I had to go and pick out some more tile. x( Hopefully, they will start today and get finished with all the flooring.

Dallas - Happy BD to DD!

Posh - Good to see you post. Glad you're feeling better. Good luck with your race coming up.

Jess - Hi and glad you're able to keep up with your running.

Lorie - Congratulations on your new workout room! I'll have to view the pics at home. What workout did you choose?

Kristi - Glad the knee is a little better. Congratulations to DB for running a good race for you.

I must get to work now. Chat with you later.

Jackie

Hi ladies!

Just finished my run, showered, and am eating my bfast now (not just a wee bit late, eh?). So the 6 miler turned into a 7 miler by accident. About 2.5 miles in I began to misjudge where my "mile markers" were because I had picked a route that I don't do very often. Also, I can *usually* and fairly accurately judge my distance and speed by HR and calories burned. So, when I'd check my polar I thought I was running more like a lumbering lion than a Cheetah and was a bit discouraged so I decided to change the route (so I wouldn't get so hung up on how slow I was going) and just run to 600 calories...I know, not the way to run but that was the number I was shooting for today since I was so discouraged by my time. So when I got home I mapped out the route and had to laugh when the route came out to 7.2...a full 1.2 miles further than I had approximated. Stupid Cheetah...DOH!!!!

I feel so out of the loop here and want to catch up with everyone....

First of all HUGE CONGRATS TO CATHY AND WENDY!!!!!!!!!! WTG ladies!!!

Lorie - Your workout room looks wonderful...I wish I had one of those :(. How did the fair go?

Jackie - Good luck with Pack Max! Isn't it amazing how much stuff we acquire over the years???

Judy - Awww, how cute that Waldo shares computer time with you. Oh, wishing your DS and his team the best of luck at Nationals! Great run yesterday and enjoy today's! The show went well and the mare is back to being here cheery self. I do actually have today off and then it's back to work tomorrow.

Kristi - So glad to hear that the knee is improving! Your DB did an awesome job in your place! Good job getting some workouts in.

Cathy - So sorry to hear that the laptop didn't work out for you. I hope you are able to find a better one. You must be so relieved to send all that off today! So when do we all get together and celebrate your accomplishment :7!!! I've got my fingers crossed that you won't have to do any of this over again!

Christine - Ooooh, nice afternoon with DH yesterday! The mare's owner lives more than an hour away and doesn't know all that much about horses and it *IS* the barn manager's responsibility, above all others, to take care of sick horses. Besides, I am the only one who can give IV medications. We didn't even call the owner about it until yesterday because there was no need to worry her until we had a better idea of how the mare was doing. AWESOME workouts there lately!!! You rock!

Wendy - WTG on the fantastic run yesterday!!! I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you did. I wished I could have been there with you instead of at the dump we were showing at yesterday lol! Sorry about the bit of discomfort you had at the end there but I think your idea of doing SM yesterday was a very wise one! And, yes, I have the most wonderful DSO on the planet! I fell asleep to the most amazing massage...what a way to go!

Carole - I hope you get those DVDs today so you can break em in! Nice pain free run yesterday!!! That must be such a relief to have figured out what was triggering all those nagging, little injuries. OH, how can you not like sweet potatoes?!?! J/K...but I LOVE em!

Okay, let me get these posted before it gets too long. I'll be back with the rest in a minute.

Kath - So did you need to partake of the CABS???? You are too funny! BTW, I think you asked what I did? I'm a barn manager/asst trainer at a show barn specializing in hunters and jumpers. There are some (well, more than some ;)) pics of some of our beasties on my pic trail.

Sunny - So, how did your first day of NROL go today?

Shelly - Oh, so happy to hear that your got your license!!!! You must me so relieved to finally be able to get going on the move. Uggghh, so sorry to hear about that monster of a workday...you must have been exhausted! I don't know how on earth you were able to get a killer workout in after only a couple hour nap after that...that's insane!!! Yes, Miss Toad was wonderful, thank you very much. She seems to be better at the shows than at home...she's far more respectful and/or intimidated away from home and me likey that!

Linda - Yeah, me and the other girl were running on pure adrenaline/stress yesterday at the show. The gas tanks were definitely on "E". WTG pushing through your workout yesterday. I know you'll have that one down in no time!

Dallas - Yeah, I don't think an early workout was in order after that party. A whole bottle?!?!?! I fall asleep after 2 small glasses of wine lol! Oh, I just about drooled over that standing pull bar...that is DEFINITELY on my wish list!!!

Posh - So nice to "see" you again...we were beginning to worry about you, love. I'm right there with you about needing to open up the can of whoop a$$. You'll be right back on track in no time and will be more than ready for that HM!

Jess - Nice to hear from you again! WTG with your injury free running.

WHEW! Okay, I've got to get away from the computer and get cracking. My day is quickly getting away from me. Hasta luego!

Morning Girls :)

A little late posting for me. I was up and at early but decided to tackle some laundry and domestic goddess stuff. :)

I did 5miles today and GIANT sets shoulder stuff and used the machines at the gym for my abs. I felt great running. Tomorrow is suppose to be another 5miler. I wonder why it has me doing back to back 5's. Oh well--I'll be good and follow it :)

Wendy: Congrats on the run :) Did you go it alone? You mentioned in your post how you went to the car and drove home. No fans cheering you on? I know my DH is lame about supporting me in my runs-- but sometimes I like NOT having him there :7 Are you playing Guitar hero now? And cheating :)

Lorie: Your workout space looks great. I have a familyroom that has bits and pieces of my stuff. I can't wait til the kids fly out of the nest and I can claim that place my own :) I really love my kids :)

Judy: Good luck to your son's team. DD's high school won States in hockey.

Cathy: Enjoy your personal day.

Christine: What a great way to spend an afternoon. I take it you are in a warm spot in this world.

Carole: Enjoy free style. MIL didn't get to me but DH was a bit upset with her. We didn't even have our coats off and she was barking out orders to him. I just sat back and sipped my coffee :)

Wendi: How much was your polar? I would like to get one. I envy you that you were able to run outside. I look fwd to taking my runs outside. You are so lucky to be around horses. I think they are so beautiful and strong.

DH and I went out to a sports bar for dinner last night after we dropped DS off. I think someone asked if he is attending college far away. It is 25 minutes or so from home. I guess not too far but far enough :) He will be communting two days when we are in the South so he can watch the retriever for us. Then oldest DD will come home for a break from her internship and take over.

We found out last night DH's best friend and his wife are not going to Myrtle with us. It's been a tradition. He told DH he got a better offer to go to the Outer banks. I think DH was hurt. The couple has been through a few issues last few years and we were very supportive of them and now that things have settled for them DH told them tradition would continue. They both agreed but come to find out they won't be going. There is more to their story. I don't want to get long winded but DH always stood by them. It seems a little weird that they are going some place with some *new* friends. Oh well...we still will have fun :)

I best run to the store for fresh stuff for my big a$$ salad. I shall return

Good morning cheetahs! My goodness... lots to catch up on! I had such a nice time yesterday at my dad's 80th Bday. I took some pics and hope to post one later. After getting home I did get in all of Viper and that with my 6 mile run pretty much wasted me.

Wendy- CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :7 :7 :7 :7 Absolutely awesome performance with your 10 miler. Have you gotten the official time yet? Anyway, sounds like you are pretty solid in running distances under a 10:00m/mile pace now. At this rate you'll be draggin me along on the 18 miler :) sorry you had to deal with the cramping afterwards. That's happened to me on a couple of races when I haven't had enough to drink... especially the electrolytes but I see that Carole has already given you superb advice on that issue. Hope you are getting in some great stretching.

Judy- glad to hear that the pain is history for you. You jumped on it early and obviously did the right thing:) Have a great run today... best of luck to your DS on the hockey tourney!!!

Thomasina- Great to hear from ya! Thank you so much for the Bday wishes! Very sweet of you... but that's you! ;-) Also really looking forward to hearing your race report in a couple of weeks!

Dallas- Amy's choreography is definitely more tricky than others but OH so much fun once you learn it!!! Are you trying the second half of hilo knockout today? I for one am definitely getting that new
pull up bar/rack that Cathe will be offering for sale. It is exactly what I've been looking for!!

Linda- You asked Wendy yesterday about the 18 miler we are doing together in Oct. It is the Long Beach Island Commemorative 18 miler and runs basically down the entire length of LBI (Jersey shore) Should be lots of fun and I'm very much looking forward to supporting our Miss Wendy on her longest run to date.
Sorry you got frustrated with In the Ring. Amy's choreo is more tricky than others (see above post to Dallas) When you learn it tho you'll have a blast!

Carole- Sounds like you are conquering that nagging pain finally!!!
Glad to hear you had a successful run yesterday. I gotta tell you... so far (it's been a whole week!;-) I'm not having the slightest problem with the Vegan diet... love it! Don't know why I didn't do this years ago! Jerry is slowly adjusting to the fact also.

SunnyD- Had a great time with my Dad's Bday yesterday! I found my brown rice salad recipe on the internet.... like most of the time for me anyway. I just plug in the main ingredient I'm dealing with... in this case brown rice and pick the one I think looks the tastiest. My fav web site is allrecipes.com. What's on tap for you today?

Christine- Thanks for the review of In the Ring... VERY happy I caved and ordered it. Can't wait to try it now. So going for the Hilo knockout??? It's a doozy.... I'd like to hear how you think it compares to ITR.

Lorie- How exciting.... a lovely nice new workout area!!!! I think basements are ideal for this... nice and cool and secluded.
I'll go over and check out your pics after I'm done here.

Jackie- Up posting early this morning!!! Where's my simultaneous posting buddy!!:p ;-) I see you are now joining me in packing hell right now!! Yes, at least a few times a week I whine to DH... WE HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF!!!! But he's a collector (aka a pack rat)

Kristi- Awesome race by your DB... he definitely did you proud!!
Nice to hear that the knee is recovering. I bet you'll feel 100% better in another week or two.... there is light at the end of the tunnel... hang in there!

Wendi- Yay for Miss Toad!!! She came thru for ya! Hope you got an a good run this morning.

Cathy- I agree with Wendy---- Major pat on the back KUDOS to you!!!!
I'm sure you will be having a huge sigh of relief when you drop that puppy in the mailbox today!!!! Sorry about your laptop issues. I guess it's is true that you get what you pay for x( :(

Wow! I think I'm caught up. Time to get moving here. I do go into work tonight but I don't have to do charge so it should be a nicer night for me. I'll head on down and start my workouts... I'll do my two new ones again. Sharon's Athletic Step Jam and Hiloknockout!

ShellyC

Great run Wendi!!!! Planning on any long races in the near future?
Can't remember if you were or not. You'd be awesome!

ShellyC

Morning Kath! Great job with your run and GIANT set!! Sorry your friends won't be coming to SC with you... that's got to be dissapointing, but you have the right attitude and I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Hey Ladies!

Get this – I did HSTA! Yep, ME, a standard weight workout! Of course I added on Steve Cotter’s Core Circuit 1 from his Extreme Kettlebells workout. That’s the one that almost broke my finger. :p I was very careful this time and used my high step as a platform to support my weight while I rowed. What a great little workout. I feel good – I’ll bet I’ll be sore tomorrow, though :+ I was just in the mood for something different.

Wendy – I’m cheering Cathy on! Go Cathy Go! I’ll bet you’re still high from the race. That is so great! Your hip flexors are sore? Interesting. I enjoy Stretch X – might even do it tomorrow for my rest day (if I take it!). Is some of the stiffness wearing off?

Carole – We got up to about 65. It’s chilly this morning (in the low 40’s), but it’s supposed to be warmer today. Weird weather we have here! I have my fingers crossed that you’ll get you ITR today!

Jackie – The finger is doing well, thanks for asking. Yeah, I can be like a bull in a china shop sometimes. :+ Have a fantastic day at work.

Shelly – I’m so glad you had a great time yesterday with your dad. That’s special. And great job at getting everything done! You’ll love ITR. I wimped out on HLK – couldn’t face having to think too much this morning, so I picked HSTA. Might do HLK tomorrow if I’m energetic. I’ll let you know.

Wendi – I guess I’m different when it comes to my animals – I want to be very involved. I couldn’t be an hour away from my precious horse! But, I’d probably be one of those pain in the ____ clients to you. I know my vet looks at me askance when I come trotting in with one of my dogs. :p Have a great day today!

Kath – Great workout! I live in the Bay Area of California. I’ve done my fair share of time in the snow. Glad to be out of it. Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about your DH’s best friend and wife! That’s pretty rude (“a better offer?!?) I’m sure you’ll have a great time anyway. Hard not to down there!

Well, I suppose I should pretend to work. Enjoy all!

My workout is completed. YEAH! I'm itching to run, but I can still barely walk. That might be a problem. LOL Currently I'm trying to come up with exercises to slowly rehabilitate my knee. So far I am thinking that maybe nonweighted LB floor exercises might be the beginning point for me possibly Wednesday, if all goes well. What do you all think? Of course, I'm only speaking of 10-15 minutes tops to begin with and only if my knee agrees with what I am trying to do.

Wendy - Great job on your race!!

Cathy - Way to go girl on finishing up your NB!!! Party time!! Great job!

Jackie - Sorry the builders aren't done with your master bathroom tiling yet. I hope they can finish it up so you can move into your new home. How exciting!

Lorie & Christine - It just dawned on me, tomorrow we find out if we were picked to run the Nike HM. Did anyone else sign up?

Christine - Great job on the ab burn. You'll be doing that move in no time.

Sorry I need to come back in a moment to do more personals. Work is calling. BBL.
