monderfulday in the CHEETAH lair...

Afternoon!

It's been storming all morning. Good day to get the house cleaned up. I have the upstairs still to do. Almost all the laundry is caught up again!! :D The little things that make me happy. :) We had a coyote in our backyard again. It's been awhile since I've actually seen one during the day. I've heard them at night attacking something though.

It was bad sleeping here so no early morning workout again. I did get iTread #23/40 done and P90X-CST after getting the kids on the bus, :) I got 4 miles in 39:30. When Grace increased the incline to 12% and start walking, I only did that for a minute and then decided to finish running. I didn't take the walking breaks, but decreased the speed to a jog instead during the workout. I didn't do ARX yet, but may add that to tomorrow's workout. I stretched for 25 minutes w/the help of Rodney Yee. :)

Kristi ~ Way to go for your DB! He was sick too?!?!?

Lori ~ Can't wait to see your pix! You'll be so happy to have everything in one place. No, my DD turned 10, but the family just wouldn't leave. LOL! Actually, I don't think anyone realized the time. DD and her cousins were in my workout room doing ITR @10P! :7

Jackie ~ Packing is no fun. :( At least you're starting early! Thanks for the b-day wishes for DD. :)

Judy ~ How long will you be away this time? I guess we're lucky that no hotels have been involved for any of our tournaments. I like my own bed. ;-)

Wendi ~ Enjoy your day w/your SO. :) lol'd at your running experience this morning. Way to go on the 7.2! Yeah, I'm a light weight too. I was putting the wine away and asked DH what happened to the Chardonnay? ha ha!

Cathy ~ Congrats!!!! How will you celebrate!!?! :) Oh, it's a slow process (the studying)...my pea brain is forgetting stuff I studied several weeks ago. UGH. I need to review more frequently. I should have DS teach me GH. He's so good at it. :)

Christine ~ IA about Spring and Summer...come on already!!!!! x( Nice workout! Enjoy that DOMS! }( What exactly is the move that created that nice burn? It's hard to tell from the picture.

Wendy ~ I like Stretch X better than Yoga X for some reason. How are you feeling today?

Carole ~ Can you believe that about my friend? And she made it to church the next morning? Slacker Cheetah here did not. :( Well, we did have a b-day party. ;-) I'm going to try and go tonight if all practices are cancelled. Which they should be because of all this rain. Did ITR come yet? I think I'll convince DH we need that rack Cathe is selling, especially since he got rid of the squat rack. ;-)

Shelly ~ I was planning on trying the second part out if I had gotten up early. I'm thinking I'll do ITR and then tack on some of H/L KO tomorrow. Is ASJ complicated? I still have to try that one too.

Kath ~ What kind of running plan are you following? What kind of salad are you making?

Well, better get moving on the upstairs before the kids come home.

ETA: Phew! Almost lost this novel above. I hit "submit" and nothing was there. Strange.

Good Afternoon Cheetah Girls!:)

Well, I did SSE Cool It Off this afternoon. Felt great! I'm still tight as all get out but a LEETLE bit less sore today. I'm getting there SLOOOWLY but surely....;)

Jackie: Awww sorry about the bathroom tile issue for the new house. How frustrating. I hope you can find something else that you like just as much! Thanks re my race!:) Hope you had a good day at work.

Shelly: Glad your dad's party went well. Can't wait to see the pics. Are your parents still spry in thier older age? I know I can certainly picture 80 year old Shelly still runnin' like the wind! I love seeing the seniors at the races. I hope I am doing that at thier age!:)

Wendi: LOL about your extra mileage this morning. Now you can knock a mile off your next run!;)

Kath: Yuppers, I ran this race all by my lonesome. It's okay though. I ran with my tunes and enjoyed the beautiful area we were in. :) It's definately fun to run with a buddy but I only have ONE local running bud and she is so darned busy that it can be like pulling teeth to get her out. I do my best but I'm not a magician!:p Perhaps your friends got invited by the other people and simply want to try something new. I understand your DH being hurt but perhaps they don't mean anything by it and will happily vacation with you next year. :)

Christine: OMG a standard weight work out!? YOU!? The KB QUEEN of the Cheetahs!? WOW! I almost fainted when I read that!:p Yeah, my hip flexors get tweaky. They never bother me DURING a run but they tend to complain now and again.

Kristi: Take it easy on the knee. I'd hate to see it get worse.

Dallas: I was a cleaning Cheetah this morning as well! I didn't do any laundry though. :p I am still quite sore today but it's slowly improving. I'll be good to go in no time I am sure. :)

Okay, my time is up. Off to figure out dinner!

BBIAB!:7

Hello again, cheetah friends!

Christine :: sounds like a lovely day with DH yesterday. Yes, the mail lady had to pry the box out of my hands. :) Thanks for the cheers. You ladies are the best! Wow, you did that move? When I see Anthony do that, I just watch in awe. (And drool, of course.)

Wendy :: thanks so much! Feelin’ the warm fuzzies, too, from the smileys. I remember that post-race feeling well—sore but a good sore. Did the official results come in yet?

Carole :: I exchanged the laptop for another one. I think you are right about Vista sucking up a lot of power. Best of luck with your taxes. I hope you are getting back a nice chunk to furnish your workout room with fun new toys!

Jackie :: I am happy now with the new Toshiba. World of difference.

Shelly :: looking forward to the pics. Is dad a bundle of energy like you are? Glad you’ll get an easier night tonight.

Wendi :: great run! Hope you & DSO enjoyed a nice afternoon…thank you, thank you, thank you for the support! :7

Kath :: smiling at your MIL stories…Weird about your friends. I mean, who says they “got a better offer”? *shakes head* But IA, great attitude. You’ll have a blast, anyway!

Kristi :: good luck with the knee rehab!

Dallas :: sorry you had a poor night’s sleep. I’ll celebrate tonight with a nice cold one! When is your assessment?

I've decided to save Firepower for the morning. I felt so pumped earlier, but then I crashed after lunch. Guess it's mental exhaustion. :7 No juice left.

Have a great night!

kristi-omg, are you serious? it's tomorrow? yay! so, who ended up signing up besides me, you, and christine?

Yeah for leftovers! :)

Lorie ~ i just realized I was writing to you , but typed "Lori". Oops. Crossing fingers for you, Christine and Kristi!

Jess ~ I meant to post to you as well...UGH..my brain is on overload. Yes, let me know. I don't think we're that far apart. :)

Cathy ~ Yeah, I'd probably take a rest day too after all the hard work you've done. I'm guessing I can take it whenever I'm ready. I think I'll do the computer test though. A friend did it that way and thought it was much better.

Wendy ~ I like Cool It Off. I always feel good and stretched after that one. Well, laundry really is never done, but at least there are no piles right now. :)

Oh, I was trying to find a respectable, but cute swim suit online. Lands' End looks like they have some cute suits. The smallest size is a 6 though. :( I usually buy 2/4 or x-small/small. Does anyone know how the sizing runs? Or another site you can recommend. I waited too long last year and VS was sold out of the one I liked. Don't want that to happen again. The nice part about Lands' End is that I can return to a store unlike VS. That just frustrates me.

Off to church....have a good night!

hey ladies,

very late checkin for me. time just got away from me today.

wendy- had to say many, many congratulations on a well run race!! you are just no joke when it comes to running now. KUDOS!!

cathy- congratulations on finishing your NB process!! awesome job. no doubt in my mind you would complete the process.

judy- first day of NROLW is complete! from what i've been reading (check out www.jpfitness.com) starting with stage 2 the workouts get progressively hard so we had better enjoy stage 1:)

posh- welcome back!!!

sorry no more time for personals gotta spend some time with the little ones and dh. i will be back tomorrow:)

have a good night:)

Howdy Cheetah babes!

Well, I'm up to my eyeballs in CookMax but have a few moments while the butternut squash is roasting in the oven...I'm makin me some soup for this week, YUMMY! DSO brought me the most beautiful roses and we had a wonderful day...I won't go into details and bore you guys ;).

Shelly - Oh, HAPPY BDAY to your dad...I'll bet that if he's anything like you he's still quite the young whipper-snapper :p! Thanks, heehee, it was only my third run since all my foot problems began a few months ago...probably not the smartest thing I could have done. I don't have any race plans right now as I'm still testing the foot to see if it's 100%. I hope you're enjoying your new workouts!

Kath - Nice workout today! I have a Polar F4 that I got from Dick's for about $70 and I absolutely love it! I was very lucky today to get that run in...as it was I got rained on (and boy was it cold!!!!)for the last 2 miles. I can understand why you and your DH are hurt and it does sound a bit off but please don't let that ruin your time away...enjoy every minute of it!!! Perhaps you'll start a new tradition.

Christine - Great job with HSTA and your add-on...you just couldn't resist, could you? Uh, my toes would certainly still be tousching the ground o:. You're too funny :+. Most of our clients are more local, this one just happened to be a friend of another client who came to us when a closer barn really screwed her over and hurt/scared her very young daughter. She trusts us so it works.

Kristi - Crossing my fingers that you and the other Nike Cheetahs get a spot! Great job on your workout...just go easy on that knee when you do start with LB again.

Dallas - I know exactly what you mean about the little things giving you a little happy. I desperately need to get stuff done here around the house but I just can't seem to fit it all into the day. Great run with Grace today! LOL about almost losing your post...that's happened to me on more than one occasion but I've been lucky enough to hit the back button and it comes back.

Ooops, gotta go turn the squash and get the apples going for the soup. I'll be back as soon as I get it simmering away on the stove :9.

Okay, back to finish up...

Wendy - I'm sure you'll be back to form tomorrow, although, LOL about how you were walking with those sore hip flexors! See, I must be twisted or something because, to me, that extra mile today means I can add at least another mile onto my next run }(. I can't believe that I'm actually jealous of all you cleaning Cheetahs today.

Cathy - How long until you get any feedback on your work? I hope they don't make you wait too long...the suspense would probably kill me, especially after putting in that amount of work! I hope you got some good well-deserved rest today so you can bang out Firepower in the morning!

Dallas - I have had the same problem with not finding small enough suits, except in the junior's dept and we all know what those can look like somtimes. I have had good luck with Venus but, there again, you have to ship your return back. I hate VS return shipping but I've kind of found a way around that. Every now and then they have a free shipping and returns promo for certain items (ie, pants). Even if I don't want any pants I will order a pair just to get the free shipping/returns on everything ELSE I wanted to try. It costs me nothing in the end because the pants just go back with the rest of whatever doesn't fit...which usually isn't much because VS clothing just seems to fit me right. I will even combine returns from previous orders in with the new order for free. I don't know if that helps at all...the pants promo just ended but there may be one for their Intimissimi bras.

Sunny - Have fun with DH and the kids tonight. You always sound like you've got a lot on your plate.

Alrighty, soup is done and just cooling on the stove so it's time for me to get to bed. I can't remember what workout I have on tap for tomorrow...oh well, I guess it will be a surprise! Nightie night!
