Oh Leanne, sounds like you have your hands full. I think your DH has gone over to the dark side. You'll never get rid of BIL if he and DH become playmates. You'll have to lurk your DH back into your camp.}( Gosh, I wish I could come along on your GTG with Tneah! Thanks for the mother comment. Sometimes I have my doubts, but I guess all mothers do...
BG, one story after another? Wow, what a great outlook on life. I'll have to remember that one. The card on the head game sounds like a riot. Did you guys make it up? We once had the best time playing a rousing homemade game of "bucketball" in a friends backyard with their two little girls. It was a cross between basketball, baseball and tag.
Kristi, yeah, my dad was a radio operator/bombadier on a B17. When my sister and I cleaned out my mom's house last fall, we found the telegram to my grandmother, telling her he was MIA. It took over two weeks until they got the news that he was alive and a prisoner. Can you imagine not knowing anything about your son for that long? There were also a slew of cards and notes from friends offering prayers and support. As much as I like email and the forums, just think of all the written stuff we are missing leaving our kids.
Tneah, poor baby! You didn't lose consciousness, did you? I'd hate to see you with a concussion! Hey, how's your thyroid issues going since you've been off your meds? Or are you still medicated?
Lainie, yes, cute avatar! I'd love to see some of the WWI and II sites. I googled the POW camp where my dad was held. It's fascinating. I like the new tops too, but I'm afraid I'd look too hippy in something like that.
Shelley, my ex BIL was sure he had a "little" case of Prader Willi Syndrome. He used to eat brown sugar right out of the bag, and ranch salad dressing on crackers. Hmmmm, maybe he was right.
So, I love chatting with all of you, especially when I'm at work and it's kind of slow. But, do you think we are all pitiful loser chicks? Well, I know you guys aren't, and obviously Allison has better things to do on a Saturday. Oh well, I love all you other PLC. Oh, I posted a recipe on the OD forum, if anyone is interested. We had Lime Chicken Soft Tacos for dinner and they were delish.
