Good Morning!

Well, I woke up at 4:00 with intentions to workout after doing the normal "Keegan" ritual, which the little spitfire decided was not what he was going to do this morning..so while waiting for him, I made coffee, and now I don;t feel like doing anything! Oh well...there's always tomorrow.

Thank goodness the rabbits decided not to live in my yard..I can just see it now, me chasing Keegan, chasing rabbits! I bet that blueberry pie and brownie sundaes were waaay better than any smores:9

Glad to hear you had a nice weekend..was it computer free? Actually, I wake up Keegan to take him out..it's me that can;t sleep!

Thanks for the compliments...you are so sweet..no, This was not really a good pic..It was 10:00 pm, I was exhausted from flying etc, no..I do not know who Lorrie (L Sass) is..maybe I can find her in the OD..I loved hearing about your weekend...So nice! I'm sure your DH will be ready to have that talk soon..I would love to have some help getting back on track with eating. I was craving ice cream the night before last so I sent DH to the store to get some Perry's Low fat, which is really pretty good.. he came back with regular..they were out of the low fat, and yep..I ate it anyway..

We missed you here! Sounds like you had a good time..can't wait to see the pics..love the hair comment..I HATE HUMIDITY..I would never live in the southeast.. I agree with your review of Slo-Mo..I thought it was dangerous for your back and sold mine on Ebay!

Good morning, ladies!

Oh wow, I saw the most awesome sunrise this morning. Molten pink sky, blush-tinged clouds edged in gold... I wish I could have found a nice hill and just sat and watched it. But I was driving to work, so I had to keep looking back over my left shoulder. Maybe not the safest thing to do.... but it was worth it! Just when I thought the sun was up high enough and the show was over, it'd do something else really cool, like shoot sunrays through a patch of clouds or something.

Deb - enjoy your rest day. We all deserve them once in a while, right? My weekend was almost computer free - I just had to get online for a few minutes to post about the CC PP Saturday!

Robin - Whew! You are a flash of light this morning! ;)

I guess I'll go see what happened last night. BBL.
 
Good morning Merry Melters!! OMG GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?!

I BOUGHT A CAR LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I can't believe I did it. This is my first time EVER buying a car. It was quite the experience. I was at the dealership for FOUR hours!

I bought a gorgeous new 2008 Nissan Sentra. It's gorgeous. Did I mention how gorgeous it is? :p

I'm so happy. The price is EXACTLY what I wanted. Now I won't have to worry about my car not starting. Or the blinker not working. Or the A/C not working. x( It's so nice to have a CAR THAT WORKS!!

This is the most exciting day ever. I am SO happy!

Anyhoo, I got in a great w/o this morning. Imax 2 and then the second Steady State and third Challenge from CC vol. 8. I feel great. I was at the car dealership really late last night so I never got a workout in.

Tonight I'm cooking dinner for the new BF. ;) :D I'm so excited! I'm not much of a cook though. Well, actually when I put my mind to it I'm pretty good. I just hate cooking so I never do it. Plus, it's pretty hard to cook for one person.

I'll try and get back later for personals but I have a ton of work to do today. Love you all!

ETA: Here's the exact car I bought. I got it in "blue oynx"(the only color they had) with the charcoal interior.

Hello all. I think I have a mosquito bite under my chin. Ugh. I'm one of those people that is always the first to get bitten. Or sometimes the only one. Brian likes to leave the back door open but of course the mosquitoes that fly in never bite him. No, they go straight for me. Grr. http://planetsmilies.net/angry-smiley-1412.gif

Shannon--it certainly was a LOVELY ride to work today. :D

I wanted to tell you that this was my first try at vol. 8 this morning. I LOVED IT! I only did the steady state and challenge 3 but challenge three was AWESOME! I loved it.

I'm doing CC more and more and I'm getting better at listening to my body. I haven't done an iTread in a while! :eek:


ETA: Hey Lainie! Sorry about the mosquito bite. I have one on my big toe and one on my knee. x( WTH?!?!?! I hate mosquitos. Tell Brian to build you a nice, big screened-in porch! ;)

Good morning, all!

Sorry that I didn't get back here yesterday! BIL ended up leaving the house for a bit to run errands, and we had to take advantage of some alone time. }( Then I had to get dinner ready.

OK, so here is my one BIL vent for the day, and then I'll shut up again. So . . . BIL spent all of MAYBE 30 minutes yesterday looking on-line at job ads. He hasn't mentioned anything about printing up his resume or going to the accounting temp agency, like he's supposed to. He did make a joke over the weekend when their parents were here about how maybe he'd just take the summer off with DH and me. HEL-LO! I'm already going crazy.

Ah, I love fall weather, too! It's my favorite season, too. I actually despise summer weather . . . the heat . . . having to wear shorter clothes . . . . The only good thing is having time off! ;-)

Today is a rest day, so I may do some yoga later. We may also try to go to the beach to do some Boogie boarding this afternoon. (I know that cracks Tneah up! ;-))

Allie -- CONGRATULATIONS!! That is so exciting about your new car!! It's just adorable, and you'll have so much fun driving it! So what are you making for dinner tonight? ;-)

Deb -- What a bummer about getting up early and not getting in your workout! Yes, tomorrow is another day, as Scarlet would say. ;-) We don't have Perry's ice cream out here, but all ice cream is my friend. Don't worry -- we'll all get back on track with the melting!

I think I've just decided to do all my weight workouts with Cathe since I love her workouts so dang much. I like your idea of spreading allergens around the house to drive out the BIL.}( And PLEASE don't let DH's comments about you being bulky affect you! {{{HUGS}}}! What he probably meant is that you got muscular, which you already know he doesn't prefer as a body shape in general. But you looked -- and still LOOK! -- so dang HAWT! Don't let his comments bother you! Keep with your weight workouts b/c you LOVE them, they make you FEEL good, and they make you LOOK amazing! {{{HUGS}}}! I'm not sure how to use Snapfish; is it like Picturetrail at all?

Lainie -- Ouch about that mosquito bite! How great that things are coming along nicely with the patio work! Oh, those new Rykas are just adorable! You are going to look adorable at the RT -- and I think your braces and glasses make you look like a hip, smart chick! So how do you actually go about inserting the smilies into the message? ETA: Ah, we were posting at the same time! Thanks for the directions! That was so easy!

Robin -- Hooray for ordering Tracey's new workouts -- and for the awesome semicolon use! ;-) OK, I think I need to join you on that pre-order. Yes, you definitely need more workouts -- and the family can do without their Oreos! After all, isn't having a healthy mom and wife a much better gift to them? ;-)

BreckGirl -- How cool that you've worked with so many trainers and various types of instructors in the past. Ah, yes -- what a good idea to help your MIL empty those bottles.

I forgot to mention that I was naughty last night and ordered a couple of things from Nike! (I was feeling sorry for myself yesterday since I got my retroactive raise -- we haven't had a raise for almost three years-- and it would have totally made our trip to Italy possible this summer -- IF other FAMILY circumstances hadn't intervened with our travel plans. See: I'm not going beyond my one-BIL-complaint-per-day rule.) (I was trying to use square brackets here, but it made everything in the brackets disappear!) I loved those cute little Nike workout pants that Lainie bought, but I couldn't find them in stock anymore, so I ordered two pairs of other cargos instead.

OK . . . it's not letting me do the Properties thing so I can show you photos! Stupid computer! :-(

Hey again...

I simply cannot figure out Snapfish, its really irritating. Sometime today I will try and post the pics...anyway! Woke up with a terrible low back pain and that hip thing again darn it. Its a Spinervals workout for me today. Still have lots to do before leaving tomorrow early am.

Just dropped off DH at the airport, he is SLC until 8pm tonight. I am so tired this morning...geez.

Sorry to be a downer - can't post much today. Got a call from gyno office. :( Had my first mammogram a week ago and they called to get me in to the hospital ASAP for another view of the R side. :( :( :( :(

I am shaking. :( Sorry to rain on the parade today. I'm just a mess. Still trying to get everything scheduled.
 
Just to tell you a little bit about myself:

I live in South Dakota, and have worked for the federal government since 1995. I have a wonderful husband who I have been married to for almost 11 years. We get along perfectly and have never had a fight. We got married in Vegas, after knowing each other for about seven months. I have three kids from a prior marriage and my husband and I have a daughter together. I work and work out and that is pretty much it. I am going to the August RT and cannot wait to meet any of you going. Thanks again for including me.

Tneah--I'm sorry your back and hip are hurting. :( That's stinkos. Hey, I can barely do reverse crunches either since they hurt my back so bad. I have to modify a lot of ab work. I also really struggle with any pikes or roll-ins on the ball. My back screams during stuff like that. I can't believe your DH is going to SLC for just a couple hours! Leanne, I work for the FBI. I am the office manager, but am starting to do evidence response stuff too, which is very interesting. I love it. It is something different every day. I posted some pictures on the picture trail thing, if you guys wanted to see what me and my family looked like. Anyway, that you all for making me feel so welcome. You all are cool cool and I can't wait to get to know you better.
 
Oh - thanks Leanne. So kind of you. I'm not going today. You know I have to WAIT. I have to schedule it with the hospital, and they do these things only Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Fridays. WTH? So whatever. I have an appt on the 15th, but when I called my Dr they said that's too long and they'll call to get me in sooner.
