MAY 2011 JOGGLERS!

Waddle waddle waddle

Sometimes I feel like a fraud. If I haven't had enough water and my body is retaining water (seems like the body is a paradox, right?) I don't feel like I jog, I feel like I waddle. I spent yesterday on Market St. in San Francisco. I was studying in the Star Bucks, walking around, taking a sample at the Ghirardelli store;) chocolate and caramel, and walking into the Disney Store. That store has projectors that put images on life size trees of the animals from Snow White's forest or Bambi. I saw Thumper!

I plan to go for a morning joggle. After that, I have to take another practice test. I think tomorrow will be Kick max.

Tricia-I wasn't having too much fun. I had to get up at 4 am just to get there and then I had drive home at the end of the day. So, too much fun was avoided.

Alisha - That's a bummer! What a very long day! Hope it was at least productive! Hope you see some improvement in your practice test! Enjoy your joggle and Kick Max! I'm enjoying my early day off today with Stephen and going to pick up my Back & Biceps Disc 18 tomorrow along with my Turbo Fire workout, then it's the JFK Library in Boston and we're going to go ahead and celebrate our anniversary tomorrow with Indian food and Cheesecake Factory for dessert and Sunday will be a nice long bike ride! Burn off those calories!

I start my Michi's Ladder Challenge on Tuesday for 2 weeks with some girls in the Summer Challenge group on FB. I'm hoping to see even a little improvement in BF. Don't know if 2 weeks will be long enough, but if I can go that clean for 2 weeks and I don't see any change, then I'll extend it for 2 more weeks and get a good full 4 weeks. I should see something by then, right? I sure hope so! Really want to ditch some of this body fat!

Here is my workout from last night:

5 Rounds of:
12 Push ups
12 KB Upright Rows
12 Squats
12 Swings
12 Box Jumps
10 Sit ups

This morning I did a 5 mile run. It was VERY humid. Then my sister came over and I worked her out and did some more running with her. I got to take a shower and go grocery shopping now.

Do you guys have any big plans for the weekend? Tomorrow I'm making cookies with mom and Monday is a 8K race in the morning and then a pool party in the afternoon.
 
No big plans for us. We went to the JFK Library in Boston today and are having our Indian food take out and cheesecake tonight for our anniversary eve celebration! Nothing fancy. Watch movies and hang out. Tomorrow we may go for a nice bike ride. For us that translates to about 20-30 miles or so.

Have fun baking with your mom and have fun on your 8K race, too! You are far from needing luck anymore since you run them a lot, but stay safe and don't get injured! Hope the weather cooperates and it's not too humid!

I skipped yesterday's workout. I was just worn out. Today I did Step Max. Its deceptively easy in the first 40 minutes and then, wammo, plyo city! Tonight I'm doing some more Suzanne Deason yoga. Tomorrow will be a joggle + Victoria Johnson's Stretch/Tone (yoga/toning).

Tricia-My practice test did go better. But, I'm not really sure why. The LSAT is more of an IQ test than a test based on general knowledge (SAT or GRE) or specific knowledge (MCATs).

Jane- the only real plans were today's birthday cakes for my Dad. His birthday is tomorrow, but he hates birthdays, so we did an 'unbirthday' instead.
 
Alisha -Glad you took the rest day! Hm, interesting about your test. Sounds like a fun unbirthday! Wish I could have a few of those! lol

Only one more day off, then it's back to the old grind! :(

I have 2 more days before I go really strict on the food for a couple of weeks! Good thing I have a great support group for that! I could never do it alone! I'll let you know how it goes!
 
I'm sitting at work about to fall asleep. I'm tired today. Yesterday was the 8K Memorial Day run. I have only done a 8K twice before and I really wanted a PR but it wasn't to be. I think it was my 2nd best time though. It was part road, part trail. The trail was the 199 year old historic Blackshear Trail that was created in 1812 and was the trial that Andrew Jackson traveled on during the indian wars. The trail part was all dirt and in some areas it was loosely packed making it harder to run on. My legs are hurting in different places today.

I got back home and took a shower and headed to my friend's house for some pool party fun. I didn't exactly eat healthy but I didn't really overeat so that was good for me. Sometimes if I allow myself to go hog wild, I usually become a hog but this time I ate like a "normal" person.

Today is a rest day. My sister and I are taking mom out to dinner so no workout for me today which is fine since I'm sleepy and sore. YIKES!

Alisha - Hope your dad's unbirthday was fun. We usually just add the two numbers together, that way the oldest you can be is 18.

Tricia ~ Glad you had a great anniversary. Hanging out at home is always fun.

Today is a yoga day. I did have one of the brownies I made for my Dad and it was too sweet. I don't really like things that are too sweet.

Jane- The unbirthday was fun.

Tricia- I need to get strict with the eats too. We can do it together.

There will be a new thread tomorrow.

Jane - I hate when I'm that tired at work! I do a lot of shuffling of papers and it's horrible trying to keep my eyes open when I'm tired! Hope dinner out with your mom and sister was fun!

Alisha - How was yoga today? I need to make a new commitment, but I just don't know when I'd fit it in! The more, the merrier on the stricter eats! I'll let you know how tomorrow goes! Day 1 of Michi's! Yay! No wine for 2 weeks - boo!

I did Turbo Fire HIIT 20 today and Ab Hits #1. Tomorrow is STS Disc 20 Legs. Ugh, legs, didn't I just do those?

I skipped the yoga. I should have done it. I got too sleepy. I did go for a jog/walk and then did the stretchy band stretch max this morning.

I put on two pounds. I'm hoping it was water. But, I am disappointed because I was thinking I was making progress because I could get into my old pants which were too small at the beginning of the year. sigh. . .It might have been the brownie I had yesterday.;)

I was good with the eats today. I had organic cereal pre wo and post wo was steel cut oats/coconut oil and molasses (less than 1 tsp.)

Tricia-I think you did just do legs. . .

Jane- Trails are always harder than road races.
